Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant

Busy restaurant. Customer service is great. Food is great and drinks are awesome. I love their drinking glasses as well as their kid cups. I got a funky appetizer called no name. It consisted of a large taquito smother in lots of cheese. I decided to get it as a meal, but it's more for sharing. The chicken inside was on the dry side and didn't have a whole lot of taste. The chips and salsa were yummy. Also, the rice and beans are delicious as well. Large portions and the tamale was alright. The enchilada was pretty good.

Amazing Mexican food! BUT be warned, not all Ixtapas are the same. Every one is slightly different, but after trying the one in Lynnwood & the one in Snohomish, I have to say this Lake Stevens location is the BEST. Bomb salsa, delicious passionfruit margaritas & the Chile Verde is a must try!

Large portions and food was delicious, best part is they make their tortillas fresh in the restaurant. The corn tortillas were very soft and tasty. Service is outstanding and server was accommodating. The large Cadillac margarita was what I had to drink and definitely worth it. Went for dinner on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy but we were seated right away.

Food good. Service good. But nearly $30 for just a burrito and a soda in a casual style restaurant? Recently paid about $20 for similar meal at La Terraza in Marysville.

I have been coming to this location (out of town) for about 15 years. This place is always a good go to.Service is excellent. Always have had great service there, plenty of staff, very attentive-always there for chips and drinks refill.Chips- come out warm! So goood. The salsa, pico & the cheese dip are also winners.Chicken tortilla soup is amazing, one of the better ones I've had. With nice fresh chunks of avocado on top. Rice and refried beans are also solid.Not solid: chili relleno. I've had lots of chili relleno, including authentic homemade. What I had here was like a plobano pepper in a omelette. It was too eggy, not whipped egg whites like you're supposed to do and fry in oil. It was like a full egg omelette with a full pepper inside. Very disappointing since this place has not let me down otherwise.They offer Jarrito's soda, Mexican Coke & horchata.

I've gone here a few times in the last couple weeks.I guess that says enough, right? The food is delicious! The service is great! It's not a huge restaurant but I've come in with a group of 8 and another occasion with a group of 23. On all occasions we were seated rather quickly and attended to kindly! You don't always get that with a group of 23 nowadays! The owner has come around and made conversation with us which has made us feel as valued customers. We've had different servers every time and every time it's excellent service. The nachos are delicious! Highly recommend! All the other food we've tasted though too has been authentic and tasty! We'll be back!

The special was carne asada and it was $28. The same exact meal on regular menu was $27. I told server I'd have the one on regular menu and pointed out the price difference and how strange a "special" cost more. He laughed and said yah that's weird, but there is only 1 button for me to press so it'll be the "special" price, nothing I can do. WTH?The meal was so flavorless (worst carne asada I've ever had) and small portions and outrageous price. When bill came (at the special price of $28) I said you need to tell the mgr this is not right. I wasn't going to make a big deal, but thought it should be mentioned. He asked if I wanted to see manager and tell him myself. I said ok sure. 10 minutes go by and no sighting of manager or server. Will not be going back and Ixtapa "do better, be smarter, lots of competition out there". Oh and brush up on your math skills.

miss treat their workers. this establishment is very dirty. The floor was dirty when I sat to eat .

I've been a regular customer here for some time, but lately, I've noticed a significant increase in the price of the 16oz Molé salsa I usually buy to go. Over the past year and a half, they've raised the price three times, starting from $10 then $15 and now it's $20 ...almost the same price to a chicken and mole plate .I'm not sure if I'll continue purchasing it from here on out. Service is OK.

We ordered take out. I got home and took a bit of my tostada and it tastes like the air freshener they use in the bathrooms. I am SO disappointed! I asked my husband to taste it and he and agrees - it tastes like disinfectant/perfume/soap. I called and explained to the manager what was wrong and he asked if I want to come get a new one. I told him I don't want to go back out and would rather just have a refund. He agrees and explains that it will take a couple days. No big deal. Then he goes on to tell me that it can't be disinfectant because they don't use that in the kitchen. I calmly reiterate that it tastes like their bathroom air freshener smells. He doubles down with "well that can't happen" and "we don't use cleaning supplies in the kitchen". At that point, I still have the lingering taste in my mouth and I asked "Are you accusing me of lying?" His response was, "No. I'm just telling you that couldn't have happened" ... So, in addition to having a dinner that I couldn't eat, I also felt like I was being accused of lying. I'm not sure which left a worse taste in my mouth. We will not order from there again.
