My husband and I stopped here for the first time and decided to have an early dinner. Parking was available around the restaurant. It was Mother's Day and there were quite a few customers in the store. We sat in a booth in the back and window side.We chose Mexican bowl from the menu, black beans w chicken for me and pinto beans w steak for him. It was a very good choice of meals and healthy options.

Ixtapa has always been a family favorite since childhood. I always enjoy my visits to their various locations. This time I had the steak tacos with street corn. I love their corn and it's my favorite side dish. Yum! Their take out feature is also very convenient (especially with cocktails to go)Service was attentive and fast! Highly recommend, as always!

There are a lot of good Mexican restaurants around Stanwood, but we always seem to come back to Ixtapa. The service is very fast and very friendly, and they always have availability- even on the busiest of nights!Great margaritas, good selection of beer, and awesome food. I love that the chips come with salsa and with refried beans. The beans are tasty and the salsa is always fresh and the perfect amount of spicy! The rest of the food is always great too, I almost always get the Mole Enchiladas, because the Mole sauce is absolutely delicious. My husband almost always gets Los Gobernador Tacos, and I have never tried them, but he raves about them!

Went to Ixtapa in Stanwood and had this amazing shrimp and streak taco with some Mexican corn. This was $25 but well worth every penny. Sinan was our host and did an excellent job in the bar! Great service and amazing food! Absolutely picture perfect taco with almost a sweet corn taste. The savory Mexican corn was perfect accompaniment. Classic three perfect taco with some amazing salsa. Best thing I've had to eat this months Bravo Ixtapa!!! Bravo!!

I'm not going to lie, when I first moved to Stanwood and everyone kept saying we need to go to Ixtapa I had some serious doubts.But... first visit in, upon meeting our charismatic bar manager Sinan and upon his recommendation ordering Los Gobernador. Which, if you're unfamiliar is a tortilla with a layer of melted jack cheese, steak, shrimp, avocado, with a grilled half lemon and side of Mexican style corn. I knew this Ixtapa was not like the rest.I still order that 80% of the time.Their Tijuana Caesar salad is great. And before you start questioning the guy ordering a salad at a Mexican restaurant. Perfectly grilled skirt steak, toasted pumpkin seeds, avocado Caesar dressing And to top it off, they started doing a fresh watermelon margarita, rimmed in Tajin. This place and their staff have become a multi-time per week staple to our community!

Really nice Mexican restaurant in Stanwood. Met a buddy there for lunch about a week ago and he works in Stanwood and recommended the place. There are another couple Mexican restaurants in this little town and I've been to each one of them a timer too and this place blows them away as far as service cleanliness the meal that we had was off the hook fantastic. We sat in the bar right in the middle of the day kind of medium crowded in the restaurant which was a good sign lots of people there having lunch knowing they have a good food. My buddy at eight there before and recommended these three some thing like super fancy street tacos they had steak and large shrimp in them and man oh man were they good. The beer was cold and reasonably priced for a draft domestic beer and the service was very attentive a solid five stars

My hubby and I love this place. Comfortable bar with actual booths and an awesome wait staff. We often stop in for a beverage and to share an appetizer or a meal. Chips are served hot with a spicy homemade salsa and a warm bean dip. Highly recommend!!

I had no idea it was a chain of restaurants but definitely a solid Mexican place with lots of options! Really appreciated the free chips with refried beans and salsa that kept coming! We got the birria tacos which I found to be a little salty, kids quesadilla which the girls loved, and chicken enchilada (chicken was dry). Overall solid spot especially in an area where there aren't too many choices available.

My husband, daughter, and I were on our way to "The Lights of Christmas" and decided to stop in for dinner someplace nearby, so Ixtapa fit the bill.We ordered 2 virgin mango margaritas to drink and the enchiladas verdes and the mole enchiladas, both with 1 chicken and 1 cheese enchilada each. For our daughter we ordered a kid's burrito with pork. After our food was delivered I was told by the server that all of their burritos have sauce on them. It would have been nice to know that before we ordered. Luckily we have an adventurous eater who loved eating a cut up burrito covered in tomatillo sauce with a fork.The rice was fresh and fluffy, and the refried beans were creamy and perfectly seasoned. The cheese enchiladas are made with what looked like entirely melted mild cheddar cheese which, although a departure from the norm, was nonetheless successful.The service was fast and friendly, and the prices reasonable. The facilities were clean, although our booth seat had a rip in it. They had a kid's paper menu with coloring and crayons for our 5-year old.Overall a lovely Mexican restaurant experience.
