we got the spicy salmon, furikake ahi, and shoyu ahi!! they were all so flavorful and tasted like hawaii :') i especially liked the spicy salmon -- would definitely get again. the portions were also pretty big! Next time, Id probably only get one plate for two people. The store is small and is just made for taking it to go. There's a bit of a line, but it moves fast! I'd say it's definitely worth the try, and I'll for sure be back soon.

This place is so RAW and serves fantastic authentic poke from the mainland! I have tried a few spots when visiting San Diego, and this one is my favorite. In my opinion, they might be better than Hawaiian Fresh, another San Diego poke spot. We arrived late in the afternoon, and there was street parking, but I could see this street getting busier later in the day. There was also a decent line out the door, but it went by quickly. They have a small storefront with drinks and snacks to pair with your poke. Near the cashier, they have all the poke-in trays. Their Spicy Ahi and Furikake Salmon were amazing. The Spicy Ahi was creamy and had just the right amount of spice. The Furikake was similar to a teriyaki sauce. I just got rice for the sides, but I tried out their mac salad, which had stringy noodles, and I loved it. Next time, I'm getting one side of rice and mac salad with my poke plate. I wish they had given a more significant portion of food and more furikake. I would rather have them put it all over the rice, similar to other places, but I understand people enjoy different portions.

Definitely the best Poke spot in all of San Diego with decent prices and a vibe that pays homage to the Hawaiian roots and culture behind the cuisine. We went early for lunch on a Saturday right when they opened and when we got there there was already a line out the door so that was a good sign. The line wasn't too bad and soon found ourselves in front of the counter. They have a good selection of fish options to choose from and you're also able to sub a scoop of rice for their Mac salad for a plate order. The Furikake Ahi and the Spicy Salmon were both very good and each fish tasted fresh and clean. Their take on Mac salad is a bit different from how most places make it but I still enjoyed it and their rice was also good. The counter service was friendly and they have a good selection of Hawaiian Sun sodas which is a nice touch. Overall it's definitely the best Poke I've had outside of Hawaii and I look forward to coming back again real soon.

I've never been to Hawaii but I've been told this poke shop offers the closest emulation to something you'd get in the Aloha State. Today was my second visit to It's Raw in the two years I've lived in SD, and honestly that's a disservice to myself because this poke is f r e s h and way better than those customizable poke places. Both visits were on the weekend towards the end of their hours, so the line was long both times and they were almost out of their poke. Like 30+ minutes wait time, for 4-6 different poke options. However, the wait is worth it.On my first visit I ordered the plate with spicy ahi and furikake salmon, and on my visit today I got the plate with kimchi ahi and spicy salmon. Both times I swapped a scoop of rice for their mac salad. Today my boyfriend and I also split a spicy ahi hand roll, which actually comes as a 2pc. The plates are a bit pricey, now standing at $17 for two scoops of fish and rice/macaroni salad/edamame, but that is the value of the food when the quality is this high. I've really enjoyed the spicy fish mixes, which today I noticed have masago mixed in (and I love masago)! Really yummy flavor for people who like spicy Mayo sauce. I also enjoyed the furikake salmon that I had on my first visit, and I'm sure that the furikake ahi is great too (especially because it was almost gone both times). I will say I am not a fan of the kimchi ahi, and not because I don't like kimchi...because I do. Maybe I felt that there wasn't enough kimchi, or maybe because the kimchi wasn't the more traditional kimchi I'm used to, or maybe it was because the fish was already pretty warm by the time we sat down to eat it on the beach and the flavor doesn't taste as good when warm? Not sure, but I probably won't order that again. I do 100% recommend the spicy ahi hand roll, especially if you have a bit of a walk before you eat your meal, because it's a perfect on-the-go snack!! It's packed with flavor and a generous portion for $6. It held me over, and that's key for a good time because I get hangry.Don't forget to ask for utensils if you didn't bring your own!

One of the best poke I've ever tried and I completely understand the hype! We visited on a Sunday for lunch and arrived at around 2pm and there was a long line out the door. No seating inside and need to street park. We waited for about 30mins until we made it to the front and decided to get three bowls. The fish was so fresh and flavorful, I loved every single bite! The mac salad was creamy and not too overpowering, which I liked. They use thin noodles for their mac salad, which I thought was interesting. Overall - we had an amazing experience here and would definitely visit again. Don't hesitate to visit this place - their poke is amazing!!

I have been DYING to try this place every time I drive down to San Diego. But fate has it out for me since it was closed the first 2x I had tried to go get it :( luckily fate was on my side this time around! **ORDERED Poke Plate - Furikake Salmon + Spicy AhiTaste: 10/10Freshness: 10/10My goodness this plate was amazing! The Furikake salmon (esp) surprised me since I had never had a flavor of salmon poke taste like that! **PEOPLE the cashier and the server were fast, efficient, and extremely helpful when I wasn't sure what I wanted. I did not regret my decision in going with what they had recommended! **VIBE it was literally like a lil chillin' shack with no seating or AC but luckily, the place is a 5min walk from the beach :D **OVERALLWould I go back? I think the right question is: when will I go back? I'm def coming again to see what else this place has to offer!

Cute little no frills poke shop. Go during the week and you won't encounter long lines. Service was alright, but it's take out anyways. Their poke is made with better quality fish - don't expect fresh poke like Hawaii, but this is pretty good. FYI they weigh the amount of poke they give you. Their non traditional mac salad was good and they include a little bit of haupia on the side which is a nice touch.

Nice delicious poke on a hot summer day! This place is a small order to-go type of place, and there was a pretty long line when I went. So keep that in mind and get there a bit ahead of when you're gonna be hungry.I got the poke plate with spicy salmon, furikake salmon, rice, and mac salad. Both the salmons were delicious and flavorful, but I would choose the spicy salmon over the furikake. The rice was cooked perfectly and I LOVED the mac salad!! It's very different from other mac salads I've had because they use long noodles instead of macaroni, but it was delicious. I tend to like mac salads that are less mayo-tasting and this was perfect.Overall, I thought the poke was really good but nothing absolutely spectacular. My friends said the tuna was REALLY good, so maybe try the tuna if you come!
