We came to this center to have breakfast at Fay's and noticed this shop appeared to be under new ownership so decided to come back and give it a try.If you want a quick summary let's just say we weren't disappointed! The food is authentic and flavorful, the service is friendly and the prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back!I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and my dining companion ordered the potato taco combination. As it was our first time here we also opted to split an order of potato rolled tacos as well. The beans were flavorful, cooked perfectly and not oily. The cheese tasted like an authentic Mexican white cheese, not cheap cheddar or cheddar blends some shops use. The potato tacos were crisp and flavorful, you could tell they had seasoned the potatoes. The rolled tacos were delicious, topped with cabbage, guacamole, pico de gallo and drizzled with sour cream. Crunchy but not overdone and very tasty! The salsas were all flavorful and spicy but not too spicy. The habanero salsa has a bit more kick for the more adventurous types (like me).All things considered we'd say this shop is a rare gem in the Scripps Ranch/Mira Mesa area and hope it stays around for a long time. We'll definitely be regulars!

As an authentic Hispanic with a family background in owning a Mexican food restaurant in the South Bay of San Diego, I am thrilled to have discovered Isabella's Mexican Food in Scripps Ranch. This place truly is an amazing spot that delivers genuine Mexican flavors. My parents, who recently moved to the area and are former Mexican restaurant owners themselves, absolutely love Isabella's. They are ecstatic to have a local spot that serves authentic Mexican cuisine. Despite some reviews claiming otherwise, let me assure you as an authentic Mexican that Isabella's hits home and is the real deal. The food here is flavorful, traditional, and reminiscent of the delicious meals my family and I cherish. One standout item on the menu is the Carne Asada burrito. It is packed with generous portions and worth every bit of the asking price. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience in Scripps Ranch, look no further than Isabella's.

New local favorite! Having lived in the South Bay, where local mom & pop shops thrive this reminded me of home. The food appears to be authentic, the guacamole and asada had lots of flavor. The salsa wasn't spicy, but had a good kick to it. Try the five street tacos (you can split the five between: adobada, asada, pollo asado). Will definitely return!

I had a very good breakfast burrito for breakfast at this new Mexican eatery. I was especially fond of the quality of the buttery flour tortilla. I had the bacon and eggs and cheese burrito. It comes with french fries, but I am not a fan of fries inside the burrito. Regular, sure, but not fries. The burrito cost $11.25.The burrito came with a very good amount of soft scrambled eggs and white cheese, but it came with a modest amount of bacon. Don't get me wrong, it was a very good breakfast burrito, but a little more bacon would have been grand for this gent. The service was very friendly and welcoming. They offer inside and outside seating. I am not a fan of the yellow paint job inside the eatery, but what do you do? A more contemporary color that matches the area would have been nice.

We come to Isabela's once a week. The carne asada burritos are addicting. Truly so good. Best burrito we've had in the area. The staff is so nice, and everything is always freshly prepared and piping hot. Only thing that would make this better is a margarita!

I visited this new taco shop in Scripps Ranch and it was fantastic! The carne asada taco was absolutely delicious with its perfectly marinated meat, fresh guacamole, and hand-made tortilla. The service was friendly, and they even offered tasty salsa and complimentary carrots.

Just to clarify.... I wasn't upset that we didn't receive our guacamole in our bag the first time. We were not far away. I went back to get it. It's no big deal. My family & I just didn't like the food. Oh well.

I was very pleased with the food here. Going in the ambience was very basic. Nothing wrong about that. It was clean and there was ample seating. The menu was expansive. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito. For $11 the burrito was worth every bit of that. Generous portions and the perfect ratio of bacon, egg, cheese, and potatoes. The food was very tasty. Fries cooked properly, crispy and generous amounts of bacon, which some taco shops struggle with, perfectly cooked eggs, and cheese, which to me had the properties of mozzarella. Absolutely delicious! However, I think the red salsa could use a little bit more heat. Still quite good. The service was great and even though this is a new restaurant, it seems like they've got it down!

Wow, do not let the interior fool you, this is not like your regular run-of-the-mill taco place. Tried their potato and al pastor tacos and they were fantastic. The tortillas looked and tasted freshly made. We were very pleasantly surprised.
