I went into Cafe Zinc Laguna Beach today for a10:00 am breakfast. I enjoy walking in & shopping on the market good's wall. I've always loved all the unique items that John (owner) had picked out. In the early days he would travel to Europe & bring wonderful, unique kitchen goods back to sell. I realized I hadn't been to any Zinc locations for a few months. I had heard that they had changed the menu @ the Orange location by adding meat options. I first looked over the menu & remembered the delicious asparagus toast. I approached the counter & gave them my order. The conversation came up & I found out John had sold all of his Zinc restaurants to a corporate business. I was so shocked & truly sad. I had been coming to Zinc Laguna since the early '90's. I couldn't believe it!!! I truly understand why he sold his restaurants as I can't imagine how he even had any time to enjoy life. But a great thing that the Laguna Beach employees had said is Laguna Beach is the only location that is keeping the menu the same with the salad selections, menu items & the market goods. Yippee!! I had walked in the coffee bar side on the right side to kindly request if they could make my latte hotter, which the barista politely agreed. I noticed all the beautiful flower arrangements were gone. It seemed like the artsy, beautiful personality had left the building!!

Food:All the meals were good, but we were surprised by the smaller portions, given the price. I was a tad bit disappointed in the middle eastern breakfast because it seemed to be just a lot of herbs and limited amounts of the food itself (one slice of toast, one egg, some cheese). The breakfast burrito and omelette were good, but again, price was a bit steep for what they were. Service: You order at the counter and the food gets brought to you if you're dining outside. The person taking our order at the front was very friendly and patient. Location:It's located in the hub of Laguna beach and has a very nice outdoor seating area that is great for a sunny day. It was a bit busy for a weekday brunch, but we had no trouble getting a table outside or food.

Had an enjoyable meal and coffee beverages at Zinc and it was nice it wasn't too crowded because of Super Bowl! The Mediterranean Plate was so colorful, full of flavors, and nutritious. While the Poached Eggs on Toast simple yet delish. The German Pancake was wonderful as well brimming with fresh strawberries over! For coffee beverages the White Chocolate Mocha was perfectly delicious and fun. Not that I'm a fan of Turmeric Latte but it'll pass that my husband really enjoyed it. Cozy seating outdoors while savoring a good meal makes the day feel good. There are fine merch located inside the cafe. Will definitely drop in again perhaps on a quiet afternoon!

Before the transition of ownership I loved the food, especially their egg salad sandwiches. It's obvious that the original owners didn't share the sandwich recipe. I support small businesses so I'll say no more. I wish thm loads of success. It's a great local place to meet up with friends and family. The service is great and what could be nicer than sitting in their lovely patio to soak up the Laguna vibe.

I had this place saved up in my bookmarks for a while now. We go to Laguna beach a lot but it was our first time eating here last Sunday. The lines were super long but we waited. They have a salad bar that people were making plates with. I believe sold by the weight. We ordered a toast with eggs and a Mediterranean breakfast. Both very small and not filling at all. I got one egg on my plate and three pieces of bread. The food was fresh and tasted ok. I ordered a seasonal iced latte with rose water and loved it. The salad looked good but we didn't try it. Customer service was ok.

This café can be rather busy since it is so close to main beach. I typically would find parking in a nearby parking lot, but it's not easy.-You order your food at the register and there are a few locations to sit including at the bar, indoors and outdoors. They have a large outdoor patio. They bring your food to the table. -I love all of their hot beverages. My favorite meal is the avocado toast.

Food - healthy place with a greens and plant based foods. They also serve other non- plant based items and breakfast. I had the eggs benedict. It was lackluster as the egg was on top of the toast but i guess i was looking for hollandaise sauce as am used to that. But i digress as it wasn't in the menu. But still, could have been lightly sauced or something.Service - it was meh. Nothing to write about.Ambiance - this is a cool casual place. Outdoor seating galore.Verdict - meh. I think i need to adopt the healthy lifestyle for me to live this place. Not yet. Lots of veggie options. It's ok.

Food was good but nothing too special. Outdoor seating was nice especially in relation to the beach. I had the spinach lasagna and it was good but a lot of the food is made from the pre-made section of the cafe which isn't too great and seems to just be reheated? However, overall it's still good vibes of a cafe to go to if you're in the area!

Really fresh, good food! Order at the counter, sit outside. They have heaters overhead but bring a jacket if it's cold. The grain bowl was amazing.
