Young's Beach Shack

I swear I don't even know if it's possible for this over the top delicious beach shack to get any better. Service five stars Food five stars Location five stars I mean, stop it ... this is the best! Guys, you can go to restaurants and pay a boatload of money or you could come to Young's beach shack grab some delicious food and have a multi million dollar view It's a no-brainer ...

Lots of seating with stunning ocean views and decently priced food. Kid & animal friendly. We got the BLTA with chips ($15), chicken tenders with fries ($11), and lobster roll with chips (market price was insane at $38!). A perfect quick snack before walking down to the beach

I love going to the Strand for my coastal walk and glad they have this little shack for the ones who want to take a bite to eat with a beautiful coastal view. I ordered the fish ceviche and fish and chips and both are fresh and delicious with all the condiments available. Love their wooden utensils. Highly recommend.

Not sure what happened here. I got the breakfast burrito and they only put in eggs and bacon (maybe cheese). After a few bites, I realized something was off. I told them I was missing pico de gallo. They apologized and gave me some to go. Then I realized I didn't have hash-browns either. Anyway, maybe it was just a bad day, but when you order make sure they give you everything it says it comes with. I'll be back because every other time the food was good and this area is beyond beautiful.

Young's Beach Shack serves a little bit of everything that's fitting for a meal on the beach. You will spot it right before you head down to Monarch Beach, passing by the grassy area near the restrooms. I didn't stand in line to order as someone else ordered the food for us. I would expect a long wait time as it was the only stand that I spotted that close to the beach.In my poke bowl, there was sticky white rice, avocado, greens, sesame, shallots, and sriracha aioli and soy glaze. The main fish they use is tuna, which wasn't indicated on the menu. There was a good ratio of fish, greens, and rice. The soy glaze was good with the rice, but they drizzled a bit too much on it so it was very salty. I would ask for the soy glaze on the side! My friend and I managed to finish most of the bowl, leaving the rest of the parts that had too much sauce. I usually wouldn't order poke from food stands that don't specialize in poke, but this bowl had us content! You can definitely find something from this beach shack that is pretty tasty and convenient.

we've been to youngs twice now on our beach days. we've ordered the poke, fish tacos, cheeseburger, lobster roll, berry smoothie and lemonades. overall, the food is average, its tasty but definitely not worth the price. especially the lobster roll, we paid about $38 and my jaw almost dropped when the cashier rang us up. the convenience of being right on the beach is unbeatable. we arrive in the morning, set up our tent, I run upstairs to grab some lunch and my family enjoys a tasty beach lunch without ever having to leave. for that reason only, I would say it is worth it.

Great location, but really basic, ultimately fairly expensive food. We got a burger and a tuna melt. Both were fine but nothing special. Both came with a side of flavored tortilla chips that were not that great, either. For the tuna melt, I requested no tomato, and, of course, it came with tomatoes. They "re-made" it for me, but bad form. So, those with food alergies should be wary. I would not go back for food. Maybe drinks, but the food didn't deliver.

This place was right on the beach with a great view of the water. Parking was easy to find and cheap and then you walk down a big hill to get to the restaurant. There's plenty of outdoor seating. I got shrimp tacos. There were only two but they were packed with flavor. My husband also liked his poke bowl.

We enjoyed a wonderful fried chicken sandwich. Well prepared and was with chicken thighs. You can't beat the view!
