I ate cơm tấm here twice and I like it both times. The price is excellent and the meal comes with a free herbal drink, which I do enjoy. The cơm tấm is very well-executed. Pork chop is sweet, savory, and grilled very well to remain soft and smoky.Recommended.

This place is definitely a nice addition to the Little Saigon food scene! I remember when they first started, they were parked right by Bolsa Grande Park. The most recent time I went, they were in the parking lot of the BoA on Westminster. I really like the whole food truck set up. It allows them to grill the pork chops on a charcoal grill. That smoked taste is something that can't be done in a typical restaurant where they're probably cooking on a grill. I usually get the combo here that comes with the pork chop, egg quiche, pickled veggies and an egg. Not only do you get the plate of com tam, you also get a drink and soup! I definitely get full off of one portion. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card after you pay! This is currently my spot when I'm in the mood for com tam. Definitely recommend it for anyone that wants something a little more outside of the typical restaurant taste and feel.

I'm really glad this place opened to be honest. The com tam market in the largest Vietnamese population in the States seems to be really slipping. Mediocre places open everywhere, but none stands out. More well known places had decreased tremendously on quality. This truck is the new generation of com tam in OC and I'm here for it.To be very fair, the food has things it could certainly improve on. I think the fish sauce is a bit bland and not thick enough to nicely stick to the rice like a good luscious com tam would have, but I've never really had good com tam fish sauce that blows me out of the water in the states to begin with. I also don't really care for the pickled veggies that they give on the side, I'd just prefer the traditional daikon radish as opposed to the additional cabbage and tomatoes. But these are quite nitpicky points. For the price that they charge, it's always a good satisfying lunch! The grilled pork stands out to me, so tender and smells amazing like a com tam porkchop should. Besides, the rice is fluffy and well cooked, and the eggcake is tasty. The scallion oil is well done, not too greasy and is a great addition to the rice. I also will not complain about the addition of soup and herbal tea on the side. I would absolutely love to give them my support. The staffs I interacted with have always been friendly. The price is so fair compared to other spots, and I get to eat in the comfort of my home. What's not to like!

School bus yellow makes me happy. Food truck with a clean chimney to let you know that good meat is being roasted here picked up the special and plenty of hot, broken rice with a rib meat and grilled pork the bi is placed separately where you can add on top to your desire. The pickled has the appropriate salty and sour combo to balance the flavor of the meat. The fish sauce can use a little tweaking maybe a little sour is needed but other than that, very enjoyable. also got the appetizers for extra ski meat that was worth the price. Relatively inexpensive nowadays for a good breakfast lunch or anytime broken rice meal. From ordering to pick up is fast my order went in Eileen against the wall played on the phone and in no time my order was ready. Food truck looks well kept clean takes both cash and cashless.

Food truck currently located at the parking lot of My Thuan supermarket on the corner of Magnolia & Westminster. I thoroughly enjoyed my com tam with the grilled pork, egg cake, egg, and pickled veggies. Service was quick & friendly. Rice comes with a drink; I am not sure what it is but it's some iced and sweet refreshing drink. Stamp card loyalty program. Ambiance is whatever you make of it as this is a food truck.

Food was more than enough and I was in utter disbelief that there was lemon grass ribs under the huge bbq pork steak that was on top with the fried over easy egg. Super fast, super convenient and they give you a stamp card. There was not seating and it's basically a food to go spot. I would totally eat there with friends if they had seating. Maybe they didn't have it out yet? But all the orders were mostly Togo like mine was. I got the com tam dac biet which was the best choice! Highly recommend it. I have to try their crab soup next time.

Reading all the rave reviews, I was so excited to try this place; however, it was extraordinarily short for me. The truck address on Yelp isn't always correct, so I'd call to confirm location before, as they were on Magnolia and Hazard last night instead of on Atlantis. I came around 7pm and I waited about 20 mins for my food, which isn't too bad. The workers were so kind, and you can tell they were a little flustered with the orders but kept their cool and kindness with everyone. The food is what fell short for me. The meat was dry, hard, and cold. The bi didn't taste that fresh either. The rice was super dry, but thankfully the nuoc mam saved the dryness. The only thing I liked was the cha trung of the entire plate. The soup that came with the plate was decent as well. I had ordered the 3 pork xien (skewers) but they had ran out of it & replaced it with the suon for me, which again, was super dry and tough. Overall, disappointed by the truck because I expected more. I can't say I'd come back because for the price, I feel like you could get better com tam especially for the area.

This was some of the best com tam I've had in OC. Com tam dac biet had a tasty/tender pork chop grilled to perfection, rice with a nice flavor, and some great fish sauce. Com tam was so good sitting in my car that I walked back to the food truck to try some egg rolls and skewers. Egg rolls with a perfect crispiness and were out-of-this-world good. But the grilled pork skewers stole the show. I don't remember having skewers this good ever. Service was good! I'm coming back for sure.

The yellow food truck located next to Westminster Park. It's hidden down the street. It reminded of Vietnam with the tables and stools outside to eat on. I also really like that they open late until 11 PM. We came on a Monday around 10:30 PM and they were sold out of a lot of things, so come earlier. We ordered the Com Tam Plate and the Fresh Crab Soup. The food was so reasonably priced and Com Tam Suon Plate was delicious. The pork chop was flavorful and moist. The Fresh Crab Soup came with a century egg and was filled with quail eggs/ crab and shrimp. They even give you a free side soup and sweet herbal tea. Definitely would come back for a late night dinner!

Serving Com Tam on the truck, that's some new type shit. Charcoal grilled pork that's that yummy type shit. Just a hungry slime running through the food type shit. You know the food is good when I have to take all my friends here. Like that, the cycles continues on through the word of mouth. We used to eat at Com Tam Thanh, but after trying this spot, I gotta say the food here really tastes like authentic Vietnamese food that you would eat in the streets of Saigon. I think the concept is interesting and different to have it served out from the food truck. The pork chops and the beef skewers are very juicy and tender. I like the seasoning on the meat. Each meal comes with a bowl of soup and a free sweet iced tea. The owner there was kind of enough to give me a free refill even though it cost $3. Thank you for the good service.Outside there are tables and chairs setup. Honestly, you can bring cups and play beer pong if you were a menace. There's also a view of the park. That day we came there was an outdoor volleyball game so it was fun to eat and watch. Just great vibes. I understand that it might be dirty because they are cooking the meat outside which can be unsanitary, but I'm pretty sure they do make an effort to be clean. Plus it's cool to see your food getting cooked. You know that's it's legit. Best believe this is my new fav spot. People come thru and support the locals. We need more of these food trucks, for real!
