Went on a friday evening, they had a few bar seating and outdoor seating available with no wait. I tried the bartender's favorite flight and it was fun! I liked how you could try a variety. I saw they also do happy hour , so might try that. We also got the burrata, so good!! Only thing was, I wish the bartenders were a little more detailed with explaining the flight I chose. She kind of just told me what they were but not what to really taste or expect. I'm not a wine expert, so I would have really loved if she was open to more questions on the wines.

This is a cute concept and it's in a good location in the camp in Costa Mesa. I like how the wine tastings are poured in a chest tube to pour into your wine glass. I like that they have happy hour. I don't really like the wine though. If you do a wine flight, the wines are a bit underwhelming and taste a bit flat/ without complexity. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing and the glasses are actually much better.

The test tubes and beakers were cute and the flights were really reasonably priced. I didn't love the selections the bartender made, but it was still a good experience. Worth going when waiting for a seat at the pizzeria next door.

This is a fantastic place to go solo, as a couple or with friends. Every staff member knows the wines & beers they serve well and are eager to help you select something you'll enjoy. I went solo on a Saturday night. I opted for the Batender's Choice flight of whites. Liz selected an array of 3 whites that perfectly matched the summer night:- sweet, bubbly Moscato - crisp Italian blend- light viognier Great music was playing, fun people watching & the food looked amazing. (I ate before I arrived, or I would have ordered a cheese board) I measure good service by how often my water glass is refilled - and the staff was top notch! I highly recommend the Wine Lab for a night out, date night, or treat for yourself.

Wine lab is located in the camp. Truth be told, I dare not to venture to the camp on a Friday night on my own volition. But we were meeting friends there for dinner so I obliged. Miraculously I was able to find a parking spot easily. We decided to have a drink at the wine bar before dinner. My friends got Red of the day, and I got cocktail of the day- strawberry margarita. We all agreed the drinks were good, but not like amazing. My cocktail was strong, but barely tasted strawberry. Service was also okay. Our server (who I think is the owner or the manager) answered our questions, but didn't seem approachable. The outdoor space is small but cute.

Really enjoyed our wine flights (we got one of their all red flights) and our charcuterie board! Came in the week before Christmas, not sure if it'd be busier than normal, but it was nice and mellow. Looking forward to coming back and strolling around some of the nearby shops.

I've been coming to the Wine Lab in Costa Mesa for years whenever I'm in Orange County and it's become my go to spot for a nice glass of wine & good vibes. This place has been a wonderful addition to the LAB with multiple dining places/shops in the same plaza. It's a great spot with a lovely ambiance, good wine, and delicious cheese is always a treat. Whenever I come in I'm always greeted by the friendly staff and mellow atmosphere. The Tasting flights are fantastic for exploring different varieties and they have such a wide selection, It's like a journey through flavors!They also have a wine shop and you can pick up a bottle of any of the wines they have on the menu. Definitely drop by if you're in the area and looking for a good wine bar.

Bartender was fairly combative and condescending about the "blind taste" challenge and then grabbed my glass and shoved his whole face against and in it while he smelled my wine.. without asking. And for no apparent reason as he was the one who poured it and should know the tasting notes without smelling mine. I've worked in restaurants for 15 years and I would never put a guests food or drink anywhere near my face without their permission, let alone shove my whole face against the rim of the glass. I should've spoken up but really didn't want conflict as we'd already had a long day. The other bartender was a nice middle aged gentleman who was very sweet and gave great service. The wine was also lovely. Just really appalled by the gross actions of the one bartender.

My husband and I went there this last Saturday night. We wanted to try it since we enjoy a good glass of wine and thought the test tube tastings was such a unique idea. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Troy. I have to say we weren't impressed by his attitude. He was somber, serious and I don't think he ever smiled once while we were there. Troy seemed to have this "let me just get it done so I can get out of here" attitude. We felt rushed to make a decision and weren't really informed about the wines we were tasting. The guy just wasn't friendly. I asked for three dry whites however one of them he brought me was extremely sour tasting. The other two weren't too bad. In the end, I opted for a glass of their Chardonnay which was very good. That being said, we ordered a pizza from one of the shops close by and that was delicious. They will deliver right to you so you can enjoy it while you have your wine. In addition, we ordered the three cheese platter and accoutrements as well as the smoked spice and honey butter. These items were offered by The Wine Lab. Just wow! So delicious. It was a decent sized portion of everything and the price was affordable. The cheeses were lovely and the bread was toasted perfectly. The butter was heavenly. I would definitely return again just for a glass of wine, the pizza and the cheese platters, and try to overlook our way too serious unfriendly server.
