Volcano Burgers

The local burger joint. :)Food is consistently good, the service is always great, and the ambiance is that of your local short order burger and fry shack. Yours may not have a cool volcano, but I know you know the vibe. It's across from LosAl HS, and as such has stood the test of time for many years. If you're in the area and are hungry then stop by, I promise you'll leave happy.

My wife and I were craving Chili Cheese Fries. I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and my go-to place for this was "The Hat". Volcano Burgers has now become my local spot for a chili-cheese fry situation. It has what I'm looking for: thick cut fries, solid chili, and a ton of cheese. I also got a pastrami sandwich and we also really enjoyed it! I'm a local and I loved this as a no-frills, drive through, local, mom-and-pop burger spot across the street from Los Alamitos High School. It doesn't bring anything over the top to the table, but you'll get exactly what you are looking for.

If you're looking for a local, mom & pop burger stand, look no further. VolcanoBurgers is literally a walk up window, order, sit outside under covered seating, or drive-thru and take it home. There is no inside seating. It's across from Los Alamitos High School, so I'm sure it gets busy. Fortunately, we stopped by during a non-busy NYE morning, so there was plenty of parking. The junior cheeseburger was the perfect amount, but the bun is seedless. The half order of zucchini fries were huge and delicious. Can't imagine how much bigger the regular order would be. Chili cheese fries were plentiful and good. Come hungry as the portions are a healthy amount.

They're not the BEST burgers in town, but they're not the worst. In-N-Out IMPO has the best burgers for the best value and least hassle. I've mostly only visited around lunch so the line is long and the food a little slow to come out of the kitchen. I've never dined-in so I can't speak to the decor. But this review is mostly dedicated to the "Greek salad" my husband brought me home tonight. I used to think John's "Greek salads" were a joke but this is insane!!! When was the last time you saw cheddar cheese (no feta), hard-boiled eggs, radishes! and bell peppers? (No olives and only two sad slices of tomatoes). The dressing wasn't even Greek!!! It was Italian.

Volcano Burgers on Cerritos avenue serves delicious burgers made freshly on the grill. Their thousand island sauce is really good as it has a nice sweetness to it. Their zucchini fries are a unique item and are very tasty. I got their volcano burger and it definitely hit the spot. Menu prices are out of date at the time of visit and fries are similar price to a burger itself. Service was fast. The burger spot felt like it made me go back in time which was cool

Great food with huge portions and friendly service ! This little place was here in Los Al for so long from back in my high school days. I was not able to try cuz I wasn't brave enough to order by myself :( But since I am a fully grown adult with own car was able to try couple of items. Burgers! Juicy patties and fresh veggies ! Steak sandwich has tender juicy steak and it really hit the spot. Zucchini fries and onions rings are huge and well deep fried (but extra charges for extra ranch). Only thing I did not like was their chocolate milkshake. It only had hint of chocolate. I definitely recommend this place but be aware this place gets busy! Tiny parking lots and lots of cars in for drive thru.

Volcano Burgers has been one of my favorites for some time now. They have the typical burger joint menu, but the food is prepared in such a way that it just tastes better there than a lot of other places I have tried. My go to sandwich is the grilled chicken on a wheat bun, but the burgers are just as good and the sides are so good that 3-4 of us go so we can all try the fries, onion rings and zucchini together. If you are in the area, please give them a try and if Lambi is there tell him Jeff sent you!

Volcano burger is outstanding! They have everything you could possibly want to order at a burger stand. Hamburgers, Mexican food, you name it. The chili cheese fries are awesome. And so are the old-fashioned taquitos with the liquid guacamole.The volcano burger is also a very tasty burger along with the seasoned fries. The only downfall is volcano. Burger is right across the street from high school and they do get extremely busy at times. One of the great things is, you are able to call in your order and then go through drive-through and pick it up. Be careful going through drive-through. It's extremely tight as you're leaving. If you're not careful the pole on the left will grab ya. If you get a chance, I highly recommend volcano burger. Along with a great food they always have outstanding friendly service.

Needed a cheeseburger and it was too hot to cook tonight. My hubby threw out the Volcano Burger option and I agreed.Trying to get into the parking lot at 7:15pm was tricky. The cars in the drive thru block the entrance to the parking lot. They need a better system here!Parked on the street and walked up to the window to order. I was craving chili cheese fries so we agreed on an order to share. I got a cheeseburger, hubby got a colossal burger, thinking it was 3 patties.Order came pretty quick. Hubby was disappointed when he saw his burger. Not what he thought it would be. It had pastrami on it. One bite changed his mind! He was really loving it!My cheeseburger was delicious and the fries I said I'd share were mostly devoured by me! The chili had a nice spice to it and the fresh grated cheese was perfectly melted.We will be back but I hope they figure out their parking soon!

I grew up in Hawaiian gardens so lived down the street from this spot. I've been going here for over 10 years and nothings ever changed from the menu. The service is fast paced (for ordering) but you can expect a little wait time because they're making everything as soon as you order. The foods always fresh and near to perfection. I love their chicken club, burgers, fries, chilli cheese fries, just everything. Inflations gotten a little crazy but i would still pay 40$ for two cheeseburgers (both added bacon & one avocado) and fries with one drink, here.
