Ubenebon is an absolute gem for cinnamon rolls! I've had the pleasure of trying their Red Velvet and Pandan rolls, and both are incredibly delicious and unique. I've visited them at the 626 Night Market in OC and the OC Japan Fair -- and they have never disappointed. Their cinnamon rolls are not only tasty but also beautifully presented. The staff is always friendly and happy to answer any questions. Recently, I tried their Pandan drink (as recommended by the staff) and it had real coconut pieces! It was delicious! It pairs perfectly with the Pandan roll ;)If you're looking for a unique and delicious treat, Ubenebon is a must-try!

We recently went to the 626 night market in Pleasanton and had this there! We watched a YouTuber try the ube overload and they recommended so we decided to give it a tryI like how it was served warm and the portion is really generous! They also gave us an option to take it home as well. It was super soft and moist! It was definitively UBE OVERLOAD with the ube sauce on top as well. Ty for coming up to the bay and sharing your yummy ube dessert with us!

The good:I got the champorado and pandan rolls. I liked the pandan more because it had a cream cheese tasting frosting and toasted coconut flakes. The more sour flavors of the frosting gave it an extra dynamic and less one note like the champorado. I liked the texture of the champorado topping and how it wasn't too sweet. Visually, these are really eye-catching because of the oozy toppings and deep purple ube color. The bad:$32 for two desserts is astonishing. $16 for a single dessert the size of a cinnamon roll is the price of a fancy fine dining dessert that's made fresh. I didn't know the price until after we got home and my husband told me. These were plastic wrapped desserts with frozen icings/frostings that you're supposed to microwave in the plastic. I got these desserts at an outdoor food festival event for the new year and expected to have them freshly prepared rather than given in packaged wrapping from a freezer into a bag. I thought the dough would be more yeasty-tasting like a cinnamon roll. The pandan one resembled more of the bread-like flavor I expected but the champorado roll had more of a cake texture. The interesting:They're listed as cinnamon rolls but there's no cinnamon.

My first time trying this place was at the Japan Fair. I have to say, it was amazing. I purchased the cookie butter Cinnabon. I tried it again at the 626 fair, and the quality was still the same. I really wish they had an actual place where you could go to purchase. However, if you go to their Instagram page, you can order whatever you want, and they will deliver it. You'll just have to prepare it at home, which is very easy with your microwave.

My friend ordered this for pick-up, and totally got lost as this seems to be a small kitchen in a confusing personal office area. Also, apparently they sell out of a lot of the flavors, and there was a lot of confusion in how she was able to order things that were sold out. HUGE bonus points to the owners for accommodating for the mix-up and sending some rolls our way during the evening pick-up shift. That said, the buns themselves were good, but not great. I liked that they weren't super sweet, but some of it was a little less flavorful than we'd like. The instructions were nice, and they are definitely more flavorful warmed up. We tried ube, pandan, and champorado. Favorite was definitely pandan. Champorado had a great texture! But needs more flavor.

While attending the 626 festival in Orange County which had so many different vendors, we came across this delicious treat. This is the first time I had seen an UBE roll. The line was long because so many people wanted it too, but so worth it. Not only are they so pretty but they are so fluffy and delicious . The service was so nice and helpful with questions cause we all wanna know what's in these babies . I would definitely get this again. Thanks to 626 festival for having them

I got an Ube Cookie Butter Roll/Bun at Ubenabun at the OC 626 Night Market. I requested it warmed up to eat there, and I was stunned at the size of the bun! It was massive and topped with lots of cream cheese frosting and cookie butter/biscoff cookie crumbs. The cream cheese frosting and cookie butter toppings were delicious! The ube bun itself had a pretty good ube flavor- a subtle nutty and vanilla flavor. I find it can sometimes be difficult to really bring out the ube flavor in baked goods. I did think that even though the bun itself looked fluffy, it seemed a touch dense/claggy in texture as I ate it.Service at the Ubenabun stand was good, no complaints!

Ubenabon has a spot for the holidays at the Blossom market hall in the SGV and I was so excited to try these ube goodness! I was able to grab one of these babies home with me. Ube overload was my pick from all the flavors, I love ube. So basically it's a ube Cinnabon, with ube sauce, ube topping and more ube sauce. So basically ube on ube on ube. The heating instructions was perfect and I was able to dress my buns all nicely at home. It's huge and believe me you need a few people to share with. You can taste the ube in everything!

Update: I have emailed with the owner who was kind enough to refund my cost. I appreciate that they are willing to guarantee satisfaction. She expressed there are added costs towards shipping and logistics for this event. However, I stand by my review and hope to see improvements on fair pricing, quality of ingredients, display of prices, and onsite preparation of orders.DO NOT BUY! It's not often I would recommend someone not even try something, but I cannot possibly recommend anyone to buy this, it's highway robbery.I bought one of these at the night market in San diego. First off, there's no pricing anywhere so you don't really know how much these things cost. 20 dollars! For one cinnamon roll! I spent less on groceries for myself for the week. Insane! I've never even seen a dessert at the fanciest of restaurants cost $20.Secondly, it's not even prepared for you! I'm at a food market and i cant even enjoy the food i just ordered!?There's even a display of them laid out showing what you're getting, it's false advertising. I wasn't even told I had to cook it at home until after I bought it and I received a bag with all the ingredients. How can you possibly conceive of charging $20 and not even prepare it. Preposterous! Thirdly, the flavor is the most bland pastry I've ever had in my life. It's not even a good cinnamon roll, much less ube. The Pillsbury dough boy has got way more cinnamon flavor and I could buy 50 of them at this price. There's just a bit of cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top and that's it. There's absolutely no ube taste. I was expecting something in line with ube pandesal but not even close. The icing was frozen when I got it. $20 for frozen icing! How can you possibly get cream cheese frosting to the proper temperature and consistency in the microwave as the directions tell you to do. The other toppings were just an oreo and a mashed up oreo. I shared a pic with the ingredients on it, take a look. No ube powder or actual ube yam present. Just ube extract. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just purple food coloring or some artificial flavoring. Somehow there is more nutmeg in this then there is ube or cinnamon. Again for $20 I would expect actual ube to be used here. The only thing going for this was that it was soft after I heated it up so the texture was good. But there's not even a good pastry flavor here at all, might as well have been wonder bread. And for $20! How can you justify charging so much for this! I'm shocked at how many reviewers are happy spending this money for such a flavorless blob, yelp has it wrong here, I don't understand how people are praising this. Go read the Google reviews, you'll see some more honest takes there. Please don't waste your money on this!
