I have been coming here since I was a lil kid all the way out from the IE.My parents passed away and I never could pin point it until yelp came out and have loved it ever since. They have such a vast variety of items to suite anyones pallet. From wet or dry noodles. Dumplings, wontons, leek cakes, you name it. I just cant express enough how much i LOVE this place.it is warm inside yet makes sense with all the broth pots they have going on.COME and (you might have to wait) enjoy - you won't regret.

we ordered the #19 chiu chow noodle soup and the beef chow fun. also wanted the chinese fried donut but they had sold out for the day by ~3pm :( overall, this place isn't bad especially considering the affordable prices + large portion sizes. the noodle soup was decent tasting. they give a good portion of noodles and meat. i've had better chiu chow noodles at kim ky noodle house in san gabriel, but this place is pretty comparable. the beef chow fun was a HUGE portion. can definitely be shared by two people. only note is that it didn't have enough flavor/seasoning.

"Newhope" is what my husband calls this place. His family has been coming here ever since he was a kid & this place is nostalgic to him. It is always so busy here especially for breakfast. Husband's fave is the duck noodle soup & I love the beef chow fun dry (no gravy). Can't leave without bringing a few cha quai breads to go. Nothing fancy. Just your no frills, local noodle spot. Service is good. They turn tables here quickly as well so the wait isn't so bad despite the lines.

Restaurant with a lot of history, dating back to even before I was born. Taste and portions have dwindled down over time but still a solid choice for hu tieu / chao chow noodles.Highly recommend what they're known for - number #19 chao chow noodles. (4/5, $13.75). You get a choice of: small/big rice noodles, small/big egg noodles. The noodles are accompanied by shrimp, fried slice pork, grounded pork meat, pork meatball, liver, duck, chicken, & beansprouts. I prefer the dry version, so your noodles don't overcook & expand during your meal. They'll provide you with soup broth on the side. The highlight is really the soup! Cooked for hours, clear, savory, clean, & light. Before you know it, you'll finish the soup and want more. Service & food is fast. Not much of an ambiance here - you go in, enjoy your noodles, and go on with your day. Pro tip: Get their freshly fried Chinese donuts and dip it into their delicious soup!Pro tip 2: You can ask for more soup broth (free of charge).Pro tip 3: You can request for a combination of both rice noodles & egg noodles for added texture and variety when ordering their chao chow noodles.

Came on a Sunday afternoon the parking plaza is a mess and a challenge to navigate and you're lucky if you snag a spot. There was a bit of a wait as I had a larger party of 5 this place does not do well for large parties they shoved us all into one small tables and the condiments on the table already took up 1/4 of the table so there wasn't much room to eat. The service here is quick, nice, and friendly. We ordered and the food came out 5 mins later piping hot. I got the wonton combo soup with wide egg and rice noodle. The portion was huge way too much for one person. It was not good though it was flavorless. I tried adding the toppings on the table but it didn't help. I ordered two fried breadsticks (gio chao quay) these came out cold and it was chewy but not crunchy the flavor was sweet I was not a fan it reminds me of Vietnamese banh tieu without the sesame seeds. Lastly I got the fried crab and shrimp ball and I also did not like it it was lacking in flavor the sauce it came with did not pair well with it and it tasted more like grounded beef or pork I didn't taste any crab or shrimp. Overall I would not come back the parking situation is terrible and the wait is not worth the food being flavorless.

This place is absolutely legendary and has been a staple that my family has gone to for 40+ years. My favorite thing to order is the wonton noodle soup with thick egg noodle and thick rice noodle. The wontons are magical with a silky smooth and thin wrapper filled with the right portion of meat. It hits every single time. They also have this magic sauce in squirt bottles on the table, make sure to dip the wontons into it!! The broth is always super light and packed with flavor, it's not overall salty. They are always heavy handed with the portion sizes and I find myself always lugging a huge bag of togo with me when I leave. They also offer a dry noodle version which has everything in the wonton noodle soup just with the soup on the side. They also put this tasty sauce into the dry noodle which gives it a completely different flavor profile. I can't say whether the wet or dry version is better because it is totally up to personal preference and just how I feel on a given day. Their soy milk is also so tasty. It's not overly sweetened and has a strong soy bean flavor. I usually like it cold but they also offer it hot. Depending on the time of day you go this place could be packed with long wait times. Usually the morning time is super busy and it trickles off towards the afternoon/evening. But beware that if you come later in the day they might sell out of things for the day! The parking lot is pretty small and really hectic so be prepared to do a couple of loops if you come in the morning! The restaurant has a pretty cozy feel to it but it can be tight when there's a lot of people. They recently renovated and updated the tables so it feels a lot cleaner than the past. Overall Trieu Chau is a great place for a hearty and homey meal. A must try if you are visiting the area!!

Been going here since I was a kid. The one thing you'll notice about this place that it has a lot of Spanish speaking waiters/staff/cooks and customers. It's very rare to find a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant like this. The staff is mostly Asian and barely speak English. Ever since I was a kid I've always noticed that the Latino community has always been welcomed here that generations come eat here. I love this about Trieu Chau.

I love a no frills restaurant with bad service. Typically bad service = amazing food - But this place is straight up dirty. I'd even say a health concern. There was a short wait which got me really excited because that just means locals are eating here. Upon being seated there was a wet napkin that was behind the condiments. The floor covered with used napkins. Every plastic cup was chipped. I moved the napkin container to let them know it was out and there was a red ring of oil that the container was hiding. The pickled jalapeños are a show stopper, it's very good and it seemed like every table needed a refill. Instead of dumping the pickled juice they put it back in the container they scooped it in. That's a little gross but whatever it's communal anyways. I think what put the nail on the coffin was when the staff was cleaning up the table next to us. They dumped the soup in a plastic bin and it splashed on me. I literally wanted to throw up. The spacing is tight and very chaotic. As soon as you're seated they will come up to you immediately for your order and if you ask for a minute they don't come back until you flag them down. I think there was also a bit of a communication barrier as well. But not the fore front of the issues. Save yourself the trouble.

Decent noodle soup, you get what you expect here. The duck was soft and the other meats were the usual. Soup is flavorful and my egg noodles had a bounce to them. This place is kinda dirty. Your utensils and table will have a strange feel to them. The napkin dispenser was a little oily. The workers cleaning the table behind me splashed some liquid on me. When they were cleaning the table to my left, they splashed liquid on my partner. Wasn't the best experience and also a huge line to get a table. Not worth the visit

Triều Châu Restaurant has been around since way before Yelp or the Internet existed. It will probably outlast many newer, more trendy fusion restaurants. It serves traditional Teo Chow style (Triều Châu) Chinese dishes for breakfast until late lunch. The menu is comprehensive with more than one hundred dishes. I have tried only a few of the noodles dishes over the years. The taste is a little different than that of other Chinese noodles houses in town, and you might like it or not. My favorites are the appetizer combo of Xíu Mại & Dầu Cháo Quẩy (Shao Mai and Fried Doughnuts). They are a great value for breakfast or lunch, and are usually sold out early. The doughnuts are more doughy less chewy, unlike what you usually found elsewhere. The restaurant gets very busy during the weekend and parking can be challenging, so I usually come early in the morning. Minimum $20 if paying by credit cards to avoid service fees.
