This place is a hole in a wall, very unique due to the western style interior with bunch of ties on the walls.Trabuco canyon oaks is located in a deserted area, only open on Friday to Sunday and parking is valet (free for diners). It was pretty packed at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. For drinks we shared a bottle of red wine, and chefs salad.I got the beef rib for my main ($38) came with side of beans and garlic bread. The beef rib was tender and rice! Portion is huge so it's 2-3 meals for me.The others for steak and chicken dishes. For dessert we shared pineapple cake and churro with ice cream. The pineapple cake was delicious.Overall great ambiance restaurant with solid food.Would love to try the seafood my next visit.

Have wanted to come here for some time. My friend's long time customers suggested it for dinner Saturday night. Have to day it didn't disappoint at all. Menu had lots of choices for all from appetizers, sandwiches & great steaks. Lately I've had lots of MY steaks that disappoint at big company steak houses but no their Ramrod NY which I had rubbed and covered in Gorgonzola garlic butter! Wife's surf and turf also on point and lobster is alway a gamble to be fishy not here it was fresh. Finished with the Mud pie and have to say excellent service. Only draw back is it far out there but worth the trip!

This restaurant is hidden and all the way in RSM. The decor is a blast from the past, you can find neck ties all over their walls. The restaurant is small but service is relatively quick. They offer Open Table reservations and are accommodating when it comes to kiddos. They offer a kids menu, as well as a variety of meats. We got the Kansas City Ribeye medium rare but it came out medium well. The smokey flavors and char was nice, but needed to be cooked at the requested temp. The steak is $59 and only comes with a side of texas toast and a small ramekin of beans. The beans are simple pinto beans with little flavor, I'd suggest ordering a baked potato and splitting it with someone. Overall, it's a quaint little place and different if you want to go somewhere out of the ordinary. You can find this restaurant around the corner of Cooks Corner

Great prices for upscale food which is non existent these days. The staff was friendly and fun. Got the Beef Ribs which were amazing. My woman got the steak and lobster which was perfection. Diamon in the ruff!

This place is down the street from me yet I have never been! I was invited for dinner and it was such a fun experience! Amazing atmosphere inside and so much going on and the steaks were perfection! If you wear a tie into the restaurant be aware they may cut it off and hang it on their ceiling or walls! Extremely casual atmosphere with steakhouse quality steaks. Service had a few hiccups with some items being forgotten or brought to the table late but we were having so much fun we didn't let it upset us. Full bar as well as table service. This place definitely takes you back into time and I can't wait to return again. Valet parking is the only option since their parking lot is tiny. I had the 16oz Kansas City bone in ribeye with a loaded potato added on. It comes with beans and garlic toast. The toast is so good I had to refrain myself from eating too much of it.

Came here for my birthday. Listened to the server and ordered the ribeye based on what she'd seen coming out of the kitchen. I'm glad I did as the steak was cooked to perfection and delicious and the baked potato was loaded. Wife had the filet mignon with Gorgonzola cheese sauce which she said was excellent. Fished off with mud pie for dessert and then a couple of drinks at the bar. Came here with low expectations after reading the reviews and we both left saying we're definitely coming back.

Bone in Rib-eye with Garlic Butter sauce was the bomb. Also the Halibut with bread and veggies had a delicious sauce as well!!! The bread, steak, and decor was even better than last Valentine's Day! Service and Valet was spectacular! I loved that the valet gave me a rose!

Great unique homey steakhouse! Was hesitant to try at first bc of the 3 star rating, but this place is a perfect example of why you shouldn't always go by the ratings, but instead check out the pictures & go with your gut Pictures on Yelp looked fresh & delish, so had to give it a go! Ordered the grilled tiger prawns as an app, delish! My bf ordered the Lil Wrangler w the most perfect baked potato.I ordered a chopped salad w/ a huge fresh Grilled Salmon And don't forget to ask for their crispy fluffy garlic bread! Great customer service & complimentary valet too Will definitely be back to try other items, like the halibut, lobster entree, & sweet potato fries

If you're looking for a nice dinner settled up in woodsy area, but not really in the mountains then this is it. This place has a history with mini and especially cutting ties. Which they proudly hang up throughout all the years. Very cute there's even 2 living trees within the building as well. The place is very charming and a great date place. The food is delicious. They have plenty of drinks to choose from and great wine list. The service is awesome. Our server Tina and was just top notch. Definitely a place to go back again. I would recommend getting a reservation because the place is not big and they do have a lot of regulars.
