The Wok Experience

The customer service was great, even during a lunch rush on a Sunday. They hook it up on portions! The chow mein, orange chicken, and mushroom chicken are great. The women at the counter are very friendly and attentive. They were dealing with an A-hole customer, but did not let it affect their mood, so props to them.

Last review: 2016Just went again yesterday and, unfortunately, I can see a SUBSTANTIAL change. BOTH in quantity AND price.Of course, I've been here since 2016 as it's the closest fast food Chinese food near my house. Sad to say this time I was buying for a friend who just got out of the hospital... and I'm sad to say, disappointed as I thought it had been getting better again.Yesterday, I could immediately see that they had new SMALLER containers. Hum. As she's dishing up the chow mein, I could also see the portion size was going to be MUCH smaller as there isn't as much room in the container. Sure enough.... MUCH SMALLER PORTIONS ON BOTH OF MY TWO ITEM COMBOS. Remembering the food was so generous before and the price was extremely reasonable. I understand we've all been through a lot and small businesses are struggling, HOWEVER, it's a double shock to see an increase in price (from $8 to $12) AND a decrease in portion.ONE FINAL POSITIVE NOTE. The food is still tasty!I took and posted two photos, but you cannot tell how shallow the container is. I'd honestly say, HALF OR MORE of the portion it used to be. Sad. Going elsewhere next time.

I have grown up going to this place and it never disappoints me. They have huge, and I mean 3 meals worth huge, portions for good prices. The service is quick and clean, and the staff never mess up my order. I have tried tons of things off their menu but can never go without getting the chow mein. Please give this place your business if you are in HB, you won't regret it.

I do not usually write reviews like this but it is deserved and hope it helps others in their decision to order from The Wok Experience. I hadn't eaten here in several years and it has greatly declined in the quality and taste of the food. I had been craving Chinese food for weeks and since the place I usually order from was closed I ordered from The Wok Experience through Uber Eats. I ordered the Tofu Eggplant and Vegetables with fried rice and chow mein (2 entree plate) and an order of Cream Cheese Wontons. The quality, flavor and taste of the food was awful. it both looked and tasted old, like it had been made days in advance. It had no flavor, the veggies were soggy sitting in a pool of water and the cream cheese wontons had a very strange smell. That said, I could not eat the food nor did I feel safe eating it or offering it to a homeless person so it was thrown out. I will not order from this restaurant again and do not recommend. There are several other Chinese restaurants in the area and/or available for order on the food delivery apps.

So good! I remember coming here as a kid, and the food is just as good now! I used to go to Gong's until they closed, but now will keep coming here. Large portion sizes, super friendly, and genuinely tasty food! We got their orange chicken, chow mein, black pepper beef, and hot and sour soup.

Busy place about the same in price as many fast food chinese, but the counter items looker fresher than most.Also, you can get cooked to order menu items at a reasonable price.

This place has the best Chinese food around way better than Hong Kong express and the two ladies working are super friendly would highly recommend been there 5 times already and the food hits every time store was very clean as well.

My first time a week ago. The Egg Flower soup was delicious and I got the house specifical fried rice.. it was great!!I'll definitely go back and recommend!!

Woman named Sovana got my orders to go & was completely beyond rude, she was hateful. I wanted to order almond cookies and egg rolls, but she refused to hear me, had my two orders id already gotten wrapped up and kept saying Apple Pay? Apple Pay.....I finally said to her you don't want to wait on me anymore to take my orders and she said the line is waiting. I did not get any almond cookies or egg rolls or the side of spare ribs I was going to order. I've come to Wok Experience for 25 years & never had this sad service. They've lost a good customer with many people who I feed in my family and guess they don't need or want my business. Sovana represented this restaurant so poorly that I won't be back. Sovana caused harm to a good customer and to this restaurant. I will spread the word that Wok Experience is not at all a good place anymore due to such bad service by Sovana. Chinese restaurants are everywhere and no problem to go elsewhere. Sad to have this happen thought after all these years.
