The Stand - American Classics Redefined

I've only been here once, but man, the burger I had rocked. Location: In a shopping mall on Alton Parkway and sandwiched in between two other eateries. Parking is large with their own parking lot, but it is shared with other shops in the same center. Food: It was a battle between the Onion Stack and the French Onions Soup Burger, but The Stack won out because the idea of wet bread didn't excite me. Quality and juicy meat cooked medium rare. Hearty portion. Crispy bacon. Wasn't a fan of the tomato jam. Toasty bread. Loved it. The fries were crisp and seasoned. Summary: I couldn't be happier with what I got. They have a large menu for everyone who doesn't want a burger from salads to hot dogs and wraps. Even a kids menu and dessert. Service was quick and patient as I couldn't decide and my meal came out piping out and you can watch your meal being made with a large window on the side to watch the chefs work their magic. I need to come back here again and luckily for me, there's a location much closer to home for me. But give this place a try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Happy eating!!

The brisket on the pretzel roll was worth the ride. I was thinking sit down, but ok. Fun atmosphere but counter service not what I expected. Still, great place to eat!

Though delicious, most of the items at The Stand taste heart attack-inducing. And that is not necessarily a bad thing, at all. You should just know what you're in for ;). The burgers are top-notch. My favorites are the Onion Stack and the French Onion Soup (yes, that is still a burger). I also highly recommend the Short Rib Grilled Cheese - honestly, I can't bring myself to finish this whole thing myself so we usually order one and split it amongst our family. One bite goes a long way. We receive mailer coupons occasionally, and those usually bring us in.

We enjoyed the ABC burger and short rib grilled cheese sandwich. Both were so yummy and we added a lot of extra toppings like the pickled jalapeños (my fave), grilled onions, sliced red onions, diced red peppers. We also got an order of Stand fries and tried so many of their dipping sauces. The fire and the jalapeno scallion aioli were very unique, and as always ranch is a good go to.

Was very displeased with my Togo order yesterday and the only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the milkshake was yummy and I've been here multiple times and the food is normally delicious for the price. Ordered multiple things to go Friday night as we were all feeling under the weather and didn't want to dine in. First time ordering Togo and will be my last. I had the stand burger and the patty was so overcooked and dry and there was little to no sauce making it pretty much inedible for me I had one bite and tossed it. My son had a kids burger which was just burnt/dry patty on a bun, no condiments or anything. My husband had the jalapeño burger which also had pretty much no sauce but was tolerable as there are a lot of other ingredients that helped him scarf it down. The kids chicken tenders were ok I had some of those since I threw away my burger. On the bright side the cookies and cream milkshake was good. Such a bummer cause we live right down the street and was excited to get food but was ultimately disappointed.

Growing up from rice and bamboos, burgers and mayo are a mystery to me. In a way I don't understand it but am intrigued in doing it right. The Stand Is SoYummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The menu selection itself is a fun journey to go through, the variety of choices, combination of flavors and what it means to have an actual vegetarian burger and not just as Ron Swanson puts it, 'food'n'stuff- where he gets most of his food and stuff. Where burgers are just meat with buns. The ratio of the stand burger in shredded lettuce, tomato, patty, spread and cheese are just perfect with every bite. Nothing falls out of place while your mouth barely cuffs the entire bun from top to bottom. I loved the havarti shroom burger. I'm sure it would be amazing with medium rare patty but just as mind-blowing with a veggie patty. You can see everything that's in there. The corn, carrots, chickpeas.. whoever makes that patty, I salute you and let me just peel some potatoes for you. And those chili fries, so addictive. Sticky, spicy, salty and sweet. That's hitting all 4 S's! Sweet potato fries too, so yummy and cut in the waffle shapes. I love that but often in regular potatoes they don't age as well after 10 minutes. Sweet potato maintains a certain bounce even after it's cooled. I eat slow because I got teeth like one who qualifies for AARP. Also you just can't beat the price, especially given what's around and how good it is. But I'm not sure about their spicy honey mustard sauce.

We were looking for some dinner and found The Stand on yelp. Reviews looked good so we thought we would check it out. Inside had tons of seating and outdoor seating as well. Inside was semi clean, but few tables had food still sitting from previous customers. Service was super friendly. We placed our order and we took our number and found a seat. Food took a while to come out, but once it did it was tasty. We loved the house made fries and guac. The fire fries were disappointing, they were completely soggy from all the sauce. Maybe put it on the side of just drizzle it on? The short rib grilled cheese was tasty and very filling. Next time we are in town we will be back

While at a previous job, they had ordered food from The Stand and I've been meaning to go back myself ever since. My old boss had recommended the short rib grilled cheese, and I was obsessed with it on the first bite. Fast forward to a few months later when I was able to taste this masterpiece once again, and it still hits the same. The short rib is flavorful and tender, the bread is buttery and just crispy enough. Their blueberry lemonade that I also just tried was great too, this will definitely be a common new lunch spot for me!

The food is always yummy and made to order. The server Tu was very friendly and helpful. She made sure we received our order, had the utensils we needed, and any extra dipping sauces. She promptly cleared our table when we were finished.

We ordered the new braised beef bowls and my son got a super weird piece of meat in his bowl. Like leather and not able to chew through it.
