I cannot believe I haven't gotten around to writing a review for this spot because my husband and I loved it so much. We had brunch here with our rowdy toddlers a few months ago, and I remember the waitress was so kind and patient and every time we're shown some grace in public, it just always goes a long way, you know? Some parents just want to try to have a fun breakfast out and sometimes, toddlers have other ideas lolBut with that being said, for such a busy spot, the service was excellent. And then the food? Ohhhh my god. My husband ordered the country fried steak and eggs and I don't know what they put in their gravy, but it was to die for. So memorable that my husband and I try to find reasons to go back up to Anaheim for this spot from San Diego. And then I had the chimichurri steak and eggs, and it was delish! A little heavy of a choice on my part for breakfast, but it was easily great leftovers for later in the day too. The tots shared some pancakes and hashbrowns and considering they actually ate any of it says a lot to how good those staple items are. But the spotlight goes to their homemade banana bread. I have dreams of that thing. It was smothered in butter (though I don't remember now if we did that, or if it came like that) and it was warm, and rich, and moist - and literally perfect. Fluffy, but dense. Melted in my mouth, but had actual texture. Like - I don't know, it was literally that life changing to us! My husband and I for sure need to go back because for a "hole in the wall" spot, it was truly divine.

Food: fantastic! I ordered biscuits and gravy with my meal, the bad hombre ! the green tomatillo sauce is great. Service: pretty good. The wait is pretty standard for a Sunday brunch time. About 20-30minutes. The waitress was attentive. For a larger party ( 6 adults , 3 toddlers, 1 baby) , we were satisfied. Ambiance: interesting vibe. i didn't really understand the theme and it's kind of dark inside.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday. It was pretty packed, but I was able to get seated right away. They have a ton of different options on their menu. I ordered the CA chicken omelette and it was delicious! I chose the banana bread and my side and I'm still dreaming of it! It was the perfect amount of sweetness. The omelette was packed. Only thing I'd say was it was too much cheese clustered in one spot. The servers were attentive. I'd love to come back and try more from their menu! Only thing is that it was crazy loud in here I could barely hear my bf talking right in front of me.

Grateful for this local spot. I got the chance to treat my boyfriend this morning before a job. I told him of my last experience and decided to get the same thing. I'm glad we have similar taste because he loved it. Said it was delicious and the best thing was. It was still easy to cut and he fed me a few bites. I'm glad I called in because it was busy this morning and by the time I got there, it was ready.

This place is popular! Make sure you write down your name and party size on the sheet list they have outside. They are busy, but the food comes out fast and delicious. Really happy we stopped by for a good hearty breakfast before heading to the amusement park.

Time and time again Scratch room will remain as one of my favorite brunch spots! Service is very quick and friendly and are always kind enough to make recommendations or further explain menu items. Great for smaller parties since larger than 3 can take a very long time. It's always busy especially weekend mornings but definitely worth the wait. Oj freshly squeezed and yes served ice cold! I got that along with a Scratch omelette, eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon and spinach. Some orders come with either homemade biscuits and gravy or banana bread THE BEST IN TOWN HANDS DOWN! My friend got a house coffee and regular pancakes, he loved! Definitely can get pretty loud and noisy and a bit hard to have a conversation depending on where you're sitting.

I really enjoyed the food at The Scratch Room. It was my first time here. The restaurant has a medium sized square space and an urban farmhouse style decor with booths and tables. It was very busy but we came closer to closing so there was no wait. The chile verde omelette was really tasty. We ordered the banana bread as one of the sides and omg it's so good - with that melted whipped butter on top too. I had the corned beef hash which was also good although a bit salty. It wasn't the canned hash you typically get. Rather it was the shredded corned beef with potato chunks. It came with 3 eggs and 2 sides. I substituted bread for the pancake which I'm so glad I did. The pancake was perfect - not bready or fluffy but kind of chewier with toasted edges. Yum yum. The service was fine. Our server was efficient and friendly and made sure our needs were met. The one thing to note about this place is that it is loud. Conversations just bounce off the wall and back into your ears. I could hardly hear the server. But all in all it was a good experience.

Looks small from the outside but is actually very roomy inside. We came in with a party of 12 and they were able to accommodate in less than a minute. The food was very tasty. I had the corn beef hash Benedict. It was a hit. The staff is super friendly. The server and busser were on their A game. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting the Disneyland theme park or area. Can't wait to try different menu items. Also the syrup containers are brilliant. Less mess and kid friendly. Easy to pour.

It was our first time coming here. Interesting. We got the chile verde, protein bowl, and grizzly Benedict. When we first got there, there was a hostess/waistress with serious face - "all business." It's Sunday and it's brunch - shouldn't be anything serious but things turned around. Our waitress came by - friendly and smiled. The place runs like a military camp- everyone knows what they are doing or should be doing. No need to ask for coffee refill. For the service and atmosphere- I rate it 5 For my GRIZZLY Benedict - a 2. Don't get it. The hash and eggs were the only thing edible items.
