We came here for Aloha All Ways Tustin Island Fair and was needing of some coffee bad!!It's in the Mess Hall surrounded by some offices. The mess hall itself looks almost like a food court, fancy food court I guess. The vibe of the place is really cool and the outside seating area overlooks a park. I'm a plain Jane and order my coffee black. Their iced coffee is tasty and has a nice pick me up. Also grabbed a chocolate donut, a bit on the small side but that was also tasty.Overall, a nice experience with friendly staff.

This is now my favorite go-to for iced lattes. The service is always exceptional for me here. Friendly smiles is how you win my money over. Olivia and Sydney are a great time. Both are always positive and up beat. They deal with my nonsense special custom order and don't ever give me a hard time either lol. The coffee they use is pretty distinct and I can definitely taste two shots worth in my 16oz latte always. Plenty of seating inside and out. Most people park at the park lot due to the new parking lot rules that are in the lot right next to the mess hall. Less hassle in my opinion.

This place is located inside Mess Hall. This place has a lot of parking and is validated for 2 hours. There are many seating options insides and outside. It is very nice for you and your friends to talk. The lost bean has many popular coffee options. Their matcha refresher was very light. If you are a big fan of sweet then I would suggest to add extra sweeteners. Even though I had syrup it was still similar to a 6/10 sweetness level at other places. I would like to see more unique drinks as there was not too many drinks that stood out to me.

Coffélier ..
Apr 18, 2024
INTRO: I am the worlds first Coffélier™ (pron: Coffee--lee-a). Think sommelier but for coffee. I've been severely addicted since I was 12 when my dad offered me a black drip coffee and I've never looked back.Considering my coffee palate has been in development for quite a bit longer than most, I consider myself reliable to review coffee. One thing is always true though, I never review stores with more than 100 locations. At that point, that would be as futile as reviewing every McDonalds, not worth your or my time. We know what we are getting with those stores.COFFEE:As my intro suggested, I am a fan of black coffee. I nearly always order an Americano, which for the uninitiated, is merely an espresso shot with hot water, or if it is iced, then an espresso shot with cold water and ice. That being said, if your preference is to drown your coffee in sweeteners and cream, this coffee will pair nicely. My Americano was surprisingly sweet for black coffee, the roast I would desribe as medium/dark, not nearly as sharp or as pungent as a starbucks Americano would be, but overall, a lovely UNIQUE roast, unique being used in a GOOD way.CUPS: My Americano was served in a plastic "sippy" cup, straws were available, I was NOT asked if it was for-here or to-go. My personal preference is to be served in glass/ceramic/something not plastic, but alas, this cup was of good quality and up to normal standard.ATMOSPHERE:A bit tired, but lovely none-the-less. The interior could use some love, but i've seen worse and I've seen much better. For a coffee shop that has not been remodeled or redecorated for 5 years, it is in fairly good condition. Tables are clean, staff is extremely friendly, not very crowded (I am here at 11:30am on a thursday - 4/18/24)PRICE:My Americano was $4.25, which is right on the money for SoCal and is about what I have paid all week. I usually pay cash and leave the 75 cents in the tip jar, which is enough to make the staff smile usually, but not enough for me to expect more than regular service.PARKING:Abysmal. Some of the worst in Tustin. If you can, walk, but if you cannot, I recommend parking by the bank of the back of the complex where there are NO parking TIME limitations. OVERALL:I've been coming to the lost bean for more than 10 years so I may have a biased opinion, but in reality, there is a reason I have been coming to this coffee shop for over 10 years, it is one of the best in Tustin. Hands down. Only other direct competitor is Tru Bru.FULL DISClOSURE: I am friends with the parents of the owners of the Lost Bean, and I have met the owners as well. Being born and raised in Tustin, I know a lot of the locals, and I feel I must acknowledge this. That being said, I do feel my review is unbiased and no different from any other review I would conduct, but in the interest of full-transparency, I feel I must disclose these facts. Thank you for reading my review! Subscribe for me! (Is that even an option on yelp? Lol Idk X)

Had a frozen mocha. It's was super tasty. I think there might have been little pieces of chocolate or coffee beans in there which made it extra good and more unique than other places. Loved it.

The coffee, tea, breakfast food, and the quiche is all delicious. This is the type of care where the barista can call you by your first name because they really know your type of drink.

This place has good coffee, but so do many other coffee shops in OC. However, I like this place for 3 reasons:1) Michelle is the best. When I'm getting coffee I feel like I'm catching up with a friend, not just ordering from a barista.2) they brew organic coffee and have gluten free pastry options - which is a bonus from a health standpoint.3) it's inside the Mess Hall @ FLIGHT (an upscale food court), so there's always plenty of seating, and good spots for lunch.

The coffee beans are so good that I keep coming back. The staff is always kind and welcoming. It's also a great spot to get work done. Plus, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee here is just delightful!

Terrible service. I ordered a latte with coconut milk. It tasted like plastic and I asked them to remake it. They remade it and when it still tasted like plastic they told me that they switched their coconut milk and because I didn't like it I would have to pay to get to drink made with another type of milk. I left my drink and will never go there again.
