The Lost Bean Organic Coffee & Tea

Stumbled upon The Lost Bean as I was wandering back from Moulin and I'm so glad I did! It was utterly charming (and delicious!) - pleasant patio, prompt and kind service, and a fabulous holiday special - the iced peppermint bark mocha was really well balanced without ever teetering into saccharine territory. Immediately dropped a pin to all my travel companions so they could enjoy it as much as I did!

First off, great tasting coffee with good selection of pour over and espresso drinks from a small coffee bar. Prices are good (given the Newport location). Friendly and quick service.Possible downsides: parking is limited if you are not within walking distance, and the only seating is on their covered patio.

I had just landed at SNA and looked up nearby coffee shops before I headed into the office. I actually found the one by the Google office but was turned off by having to park in the structure. I turned back toward the airport and redirected myself to The Lost Bean, which was 2nd on my search list.I found The Lost Bean off the beaten path and tucked behind a few apartment buildings. What an adorable outdoor coffee shop! It did have covering, but I liked that it was open to the elements. I arrived at the shop around 8am on a Tuesday morning. There was a customer picking up his order when I got there, and then there was a customer who came shortly after I had placed my order. That being said, I felt it wasn't that busy, but there was a steady stream of customers who kept the solo barista busy. The barista was very friendly and he made a solid latte for me. Sometimes all it takes for the start of a great day are a warm greeting and a well-made latte with quality coffee. I'll definitely back again. Though I didn't get fancy with my latte, their specialty lattes looked tasty. They also had a good selection of pastries and baked goods.

My hot vanilla oat latte was great! Not too sweet, not sour, and the perfect temp. This is a coffee stand with a lot of generously spaced covered outdoor seating. A cool little spot in a place full of sterile business buildings. I would be back!

A hidden gem! This place is tucked inside of Redstone, an office building here in Newport Beach next to John Wayne Airport. It's a little coffee stand with a good amount of outdoor seating, great for little coffee breaks. I ordered the Taro Latte, which came out pretty quickly and the presentation was wonderful. It had just the right amount of sweetness and it went really well with the espresso. I know they use powdered mix, but I think flavor can be improved.Either way, the service was excellent, and I felt welcomed the moment I stepped up! I totally recommend this stand to anyone in the area!

Just enjoyed a blended frozen coffee. It tasted good but it was so thick it was difficult to drink. I noticed it even as it was coming out of the blender that it was just too thick. Would have been much better if it was made properly but still enjoyable.

The caramel macchiato is my go to. I always love the coffee here because of the espresso beans. The service is always so nice as well

Atmosphere is awesome. Fully outdoor coffee shop hidden in a business area. Coffee was good. I had the better than bulletproof which was pretty mellow. Had good flavor and not too sweet. Barista was nice and gave recommendations.

What a cute little coffee stop! I've been to the Lost Bean over in Woodbridge/Irvine, by the lakes off Barranca - so familiar with the quality of their coffee. This little coffee stop is a standalone in the middle of the parking lot of the Redstone business complex. Oddly enough, Google Maps shows this place located in the parking structure - but it's actually adjacent to the parking structure somewhat - with a little outdoor patio that's covered. I opted for the Zebra Mocha blended drink - a perfect mix of white chocolate and chocolate/coffee - a treat for what was Day 3 of the unusually long heatwave plaguing Southern California right now. The clerk was friendly, chatty and was pleasant to interact with. There's a small display stand with some pastries, but none of the quiche offerings like the Barranca location. When I asked - I don't think they'll be getting any since the footprint here is much smaller - not sure if they have a proper refrigerated case or heating options here. Quick, fast and friendly service - a nice alternative to other coffee options in the area.
