The Hive Sports Bar & Grill

This was my first time attending this sports bar and I had a fantastic time. The owner, Johnny is phenomenal. He checked on us at least eight times to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I ordered the lemon pepper wings, which were the best I ever had. They were made to perfection with a nice real lemon pepper sauce and the chicken was very tender. I then ordered a lettuce burger wrap with a side Caesar salad that was delicious. I had a watermelon skinny margarita, a glass of Prosecco, and a shot. The drinks were very good and tasty. The atmosphere was very cool. It had lots of memorable of athletes all around. My favorite thing was the Kobe Bryant hallway that was amazing. It made me smile. They have a nice-sized bar and stage for entertainment. Anywhere you sit, you can see a television to view whatever game. Note: Great place to see a game. They have UFC events also, and a live band on certain days. Happy hour Monday-Friday. Easy parking. I will be coming back to enjoy other festivities.

Was in the area on business and because of crazy traffic, I decided to stop have dinner and watch the semi-final college football game. I found the Hive Sports Bar and Grill via Yelp and wasn't disappointed.This is an amazing sports bar! With lots of TV's...seemingly everywhere; across from me, above., to the side. Additionally, it didn't feel cramped...there was a large party in the middle of the space and I was still able to see the monitors. To its credit it doesn't have anything that distracts or clutters from their main focus: food and monitors to watch a sporting event.Also, they chose to feature the college football game....so it was on most screens and the volume was up so one could hear the play by play. However, there were other games on (hockey, BBall). I'm not sure what they would do if there was a full slate of other games ( baseball, football, hockey).One things for sure you can watch the action here with all their monitors! My server Brooke gave me lots of good advice on what to order from their happy hour menu and was attentive enough to make me feel that I wasn't being neglected. The star of the show for me was the food. I mostly ordered from their Happy Hour menu because it had a combination of items that Ive had at other sports bars while also having items new to me.I ordered:stacked tots: I don't have tots often...this dish all the goodness of a baked potato with crunch and stuff you'll find in some nachos mixed around.Very very delicious! Pulls pork sliders: melt in your mouth goodness.Mac n Cheese: I always like order MacNcheese theirs is particularly creamy, gooey and 100% good.Spring rolls: taste familiar and like what I expected. It helps that it wasn't too expensive because of happy hour.Onion rings: truth be were a little over cooked and chewy. The rest of the menu looked awesome...I wish I had room for...I may comeback to partake in them with or without a sporting event that I desperately wanted to watch. Great experience this community is lucky to have such a good sports bar with everything to enjoy watching a favorite sports event: Monitors, good food and good competent service.

We've lived in Yorba Linda for a few years now and my sister-in-law turned us on to The Hive. Now this is our go to sports hang out. The service is amazing, all the staff AND the owners are friendly and welcoming!! It's clean and nice, truly setting the sports "bar".Your dollar also goes a long way and that's a huge value. We come with our little ones, family and friends to watch USC games, UFC, boxing, the World Series and we'll keep coming back so say hi when we see you there!!

Love this place! Always great food, flowing drinks and great service and atmosphere! Here to support the local high school charity event.

We went to see the band. Band was great. Bartenders made the evening no bueno. I wish they knew the more people buy the more they make. Sad

If you live in Anahiem Hills give this place a try! My fiancé and I used to go often as they have great appetizers and reasonably priced drinks. The customer service has always been great, the staff is always super nice! There are lots of tvs & seating. I would recommend the fried zucchini sticks and the blueberry margarita!

The Hive is a nice local sports bar and grill with an open space, plenty of TVs, and a mix of bar and table seating. The walls are adorned with sports photos and memorabilia, creating a homey atmosphere. The quirky cardboard cutouts add a touch of fun, even if they seem to be floating around. A friend recommended The Hive, and it was my first time recently since they took over the space from Slater's 50/50. Yes, it's been a while. The restaurant wasn't too busy for weekday lunch, but there was still a nice crowd around the bar and a few games on the TVs. There are plenty of tasty-sounding items on the menu, and I referred to some of the reviews on Yelp and a friend to help me decide. I ordered the Smash burger, as it's one of the favorites among the reviews. I enjoyed the burger, but it was a bit too salty. The burger was a decent size for the price, and the beef patties were thicker than other smash burgers I've had. I also upgraded to onion rings, and those were exceptional. They had a crunchy coating and thick-sliced onions with great flavor and texture. We also ordered a Giant Bavarian Pretzel to share, which was a bit denser than expected but still a good snack. My friends also ordered fish tacos and The Buzzzzz Turkey Burger. The verdict was delicious, and we left with satisfied stomachs.Overall, it was a good first experience for me, and I'd return to try more items, relax, and catch a game. The staff was attentive and kind as well.While we were dining, a musician set up on the other side of the restaurant, we didn't hear them play, but live music is also available.

My first time going to The Hive and it did not disappoint!!! The Saturday night I went they were streaming the UFC fight and the vibe was so on point everyone was eating drinking having a great time. I went with a group of co workers and the food was super delicious!! We tired the Queso Fundió and it came with chorizo and I think papa (potatoes) and THE FRIED ZUCCHINI was like woow honestly some of the best I've ever had believe it or not it had sooo much FLAVA!!! And it comes topped with real Parmesan cheese not the powder stuff!! For an entree I got THE GRILLED CHEESE and added BACON!! I was super surprised to see that it had CREAM CHEESE in it which is a plus for me because I LOOOVE IT!! And I've never tried or thought of that befor!! It came accompanied with a side of TOMATO SOUP with alittle oregano which really hit the spot!!My friends also enjoyed their meals!! The service was great out serves name was ALEXIS she was SOOOO NICE, she was joking with us which made the experience Gmail much fun!! and she was very ATTENTIVE!! Even the owner was cleaning up table and mingling with the customers which I REALLY LOOVE because it gives a more personal vibe!! We will definitely be stopping by again!! Oh and also the restroom was clean so that's a very big plus!!

It's been a year (since my last review) and it's still one of the best burgers I've ever had! So much flavor and so juicy (in a non greasy way) it was cooked thoroughly (I'm a medium well gal) and it was still very flavorful and juicy (I don't know how they do that :)My mom had their fish & chips and said they were delicious, and you get a hefty portion for the price!Brooke was our server, she was awesome. So sweet and attentive, she checked in on us several times and made sure everything tasted good and we had whatever we needed.I live almost across the street from this place and i can't believe it's taken me a year to get back here?!? I will DEFINITELY be back (sooner than a year from now!)

Great service and good bloody Mary's!Sadly, they use these frozen potato nugget things in their breakfast bowls. Ironically, tator tots are on the menu so why not use those? Frozen or not they'd be a huge improvement. I just don't understand why not use fresh? Potatoes are pretty simple and cheap.
