The Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar

We always eat here when we are in the area. This time we tried the Sunday brunch with bloody Mary's. Everything was delicious and our server Shawn made sure we weren't missing anything.We also received a basket of various muffins which we couldn't finish. We brought them home for next day. Seating outside with the ocean view is the best part of this restaurant. We would be back once the weather warms up

You pay for the view. It' phenomenal.The host and our waiter were amazing, very nice and accommodating (we changed table in the middle of our lunch to get closer to the water).You get a delicious complementary bread loaf and packaged butter. Wine selection and prices are decent considering the location.Now the food: My first huge disappointment is that the "clam feast" (or any fish "feast" deal) required a minimum order of 2. A single guest will not be able to order the "feast". 0 star.My seafood pasta was tasty however they only had 3 ridiculously small pieces of fish (literally 1 bite each) and 3 small shrimps. 2.5 stars for the price paid.Clams were great but over priced.I could go back. I heard their brunch deals are good.

We've been coming to the Fisherman for quite a few years now. Every time we're In the area its one of our favorite places to eat. Tonight was especially excellent! What set tonight apart from past visits was our server Lindsey. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible experience!She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. It was really refreshing to have genuinely good service with great suggestions! We ordered oysters to start and the Halibut feast for 2, which she had recommended and it was nothing short of amazing! We had so much food! Everything was beautiful, fresh & so flavorful.Not a single complaint! Our entire experience was phenomenal.Thank you Lindsey & The Fisherman Restaurant for a wonderful date night.

You can't beat the service, quality of the food, and the view from this restaurant. It's a must try for families, friends, and dates anytime of the day. We've enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner and are always so impressed with everything they have to offer. Must try if you are in San Clemente for the day.

We sat outside and enjoyed the ocean breeze and waves. The waitress is nice but she doesn't eat fish so I need samples! We ordered a bucket of mussels and I am tasting the fisherman's chowder. Great beach vibes.

The outside patio has a great view of the ocean with plenty of heaters. Service was slow, but the server was friendly and apologetic. The clam chowder, served in a sourdough bread bowl was delicious! The bread was fresh and crusty! The fish fry, however was disappointing; the fries were cold and the coleslaw was warm. I'd go back for the view and the chowder.

It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon in San Clemente and I met up with a friend Downtown for some Christmas shopping. We decided to visit the pier for a quick bite and to enjoy the perfect, December day. We decided to each have a cold Trestles beer served in a chilled glass, split the spinach salad with warm, bacon dressing and halibut fish basket with fries. It was the PERFECT order to have some healthy and fried food. Our waitress was ON IT and even brought each of us our own tartar sauce. Yum, fun and perfect scenery. It is ALWAYS a treat to eat on the pier!

I haven't been here in years. I have memories coming as a kid and eating and playing in the beach. We went at the random time of 3pm on a stay and we were sat right away at the best seat in the house! The corner table on the patio. The sourdough rolls came out right away with my margarita. Both were amazing. I had the sea bass piccata bc I'm a sucker for capers. The fish was hearty and well cooked. The sauce and pasta were awesome. The shish taco had a great grilled flavor and sauce. To top it off the waiter was awesome. I love it when it seems like they are trading your mind. He was on top of it. And you cannot beat the view or ambiance of being on the pier on a sunny, summer day.

It's been 5 hours and I'm still thinking about the delicious food from lunch. Wowwie Everything here is delicious from the fresh hot baked sourdough bread served at the beginning of the meal to the out of this world peanut butter pie. When you walk in there's an option to go right which is a beautiful bar where they have a limited menu and to the left where the main restaurant is which was kind of confusing at first. It seemed like a lot of people preferred sitting outside but I enjoyed sitting inside safe from the elements. Plus, there was nobody inside so me and the man had a quaint and delicious private lunch overlooking the water. The prices are decent for the quality of food. The crab was super fresh and we dipped it in the cream sauce from the seafood special pasta of the day which was dangerously amazing! Service was prompt and the woman was great I didn't catch her name. Definitely coming back maybe even for my birthday.

Food: food was delicious but the menu fell short of our expectations. For example, for appetizers we were interested in calamari or ceviche but it was not an option while those options are typically available for seafood restaurants.Service: great. Our server was friendly and attentive.Ambiance: a pleasant location on the pier with indoor and outdoor seating. It may be small for larger parties.
