The Coconut Truck

I had a pleasure of visiting The Coconut Truck a couple weekends ago when they were outside the Anaheim convention center for an event.My friend was able to try the food earlier in the week and had recommended it. The food was pretty good and so I came here for my lunch break. I got that garlic noodles and shrimp although not what I had in mind taste of garlic noodles, they were still pretty good. It was easy to order and my food was done fairly quickly, so I was able to have a very tasty meal in a short amount of time. In hindsight I wonder if they had any sort of hot sauce or I wish I had access to hot sauce, but I would've enhanced my food a little bit more to give it a little more kick. It was still great overallOverall, the food is pretty solid and it was a great tasting meal. I don't think I'll be hunting them down but I would get food with them again in the future.

I love food trucks and this one was outside my office today. Ambiance: Well it was parked in Irvine, so who doesn't love that? Beautiful skies, great weather!Food: I had the half and half bowl, which is half teriyaki chicken and half orange chicken. You can choose to have it over rice or garlic noodz.I picked the garlic noodz so I won't have to talk to my coworkers long. It was outstanding...hot, fresh and with a little sriracha, just right!!Service: Fabulous! They greeted me quickly and I had my food within 5 minutes....just lovely!If you see this one parked out there, go get ya some garlic noodz (noodles btw)

Here at the Anaheim convention center and Coconut truck was one of the food truck vendors. The pictures on the menu did NOT match up with what we ordered. I had the teriyaki chicken $15.79 for what looks like a sample bowl. It looked like she took 2 or 3 teaspoons of chicken and spread it over a little bit of soggy rice from the cole slaw. Didn't taste teriyaki to me. It was served in a small paper tray you would get an order of fries from in & out. For $16 it was NOT worth it. Hubby got the orange chicken and we counted 6 pieces of orange chicken smh. His chicken had more flavor than mine. Wished I had taken a picture of it but it was a long day of sporting event we scarfed our food and was so disappointed. Because we were STILL hungry, we ended up going into the Hilton hotel food court to Crave pizza. Bought 2 slices and paid almost the same amount as 1 tray from coconut truck. Shame. Pizza was good though and fulfilling!

We had then to our neighborhood for an event a few weeks ago, and they were great. Staff kept up with the orders and was ON IT! Everyone I talked to also had wonderful things to say about the food. Only bummer was they ran out of shrimp a bit early, but they said we ordered alot more of it than they had anticipated. Great staff and great food, (I tried 3 things and all yummy) highly recommend. Oh, and prices were reasonable.No issues with communicating with them, they always got right back to me and did exactly what they said they would. Defiantly would have them back.

I ordered the orange flavored chicken and rice which was overpriced for what I recieved. The portion was small but not terrible, what was really bad was the fact the chicken was room temperature and the sauce was cold making it inedible. Not only that but I tried to send the receipt to myself and she took the machine away before it went through, making me feel rushed even as I was the only one in line.

Coconut truck was posted at one of our most recent events and was the lunch of choice for everyone. With the large crowds around I can say that Coconut truck had one of the most efficient operations that day! The lines were long but their process kept the people moving and the food coming out in a timely manner. 5 mins max from order to pay to grubbing! We got the garlic noodle bowl, orange chicken bowl and lemon grass tofu bowl!! The tofu was a bit mushy for my preference. I like a firmer option but the flavors were outstanding! The orange chicken was fresh and crispy with lots of sauce from the sauce! Even after 20 mins the chicken stayed crunchy and flavorful! The garlic noodles were simple and packed with flavor! A great stop for lunch when you see them around!

Ordered this teriyaki chicken dish from the Coconut truck on the second day of a 4-day conference and I was favorably impressed. The bowl was generously portioned and about 75% full (to the line around the edge), the cole slaw was fresh, the chicken was ample and had great flavor, and the rice was perfectly steamed.Today, the last day of the conference, is another story. This is the bowl exactly as served (minus inserted fork). The bowl is perhaps 40% full, the chicken has an over-strong char flavor with a smaller portion, the Cole slaw is limp, and the rice is dry. Its a shame; some variation is expected, but this is quite extreme, and disappointing. It is still edible, but no longer inspiring.

Very friendly and welcoming Got a chance to try them here at the location called The Met in costa mesa I ended up getting half and half (teriyaki and orange glaze chicken)Hands down I gotta say it was delicious and with very reasonable price Be sure to check them out they have their own website and its great that they show ya where they go its no wonder why they been giving this delicious food since 2014 thank you guys are awesome

Found this truck outside Wonder Con, I wouldn't recommend it. I got the noodles and they were over cooked, unflavored and all clumped up together. They were also cold. Food was extremely over priced and not worth the value for the quality of food. They chicken teriyaki was so mid and rice was stale. They didn't even have the coconut shrimp lol
