This spot will satisfy that bagel sandwich craving you have without making you think you overpaid. The price of food has gone up so much and it's hard to distinguish what is a better value: eating out or making it yourself, especially if you don't mind cooking. This spot gives you that hearty sandwich with familiar flavors that you expect. On the bagel side, however, they had interesting flavors like french toast. I did not try those but will be back for more.I ordered the Lowers w/ Sausage, on a cheddar bagel. Their cheddar is a whole piece on top of the bagel, not the shredded one sprinkled on top. Big plus one here. Their sasauge was flavorful and juicy. The scrambled egg was not hard. It costed me $7.72 before tax. Considering that my local McDonald's sausage muffin is just as costly, this is a much bigger portion, better tasting, and a feel-better experience for supporting a local business.

This was my first time trying The Bagel Shack and overall I was impressed. The bagels were very good; nice chew but not too much, good flavor, good size. We got some basic cinnamon sugar bagel with butter, a couple sesame seed bagels with baccon egg and cheese, and then a lox bagel. Again, all were very good. The two down sides. First, when I ordered online and went in, it was not clear at all where to pick up food. I went to where staff were there handing out orders to people who ordered in the store and were also assembling the bagels. They tried to call back to other staff to help grab my order, but since they were pretty recently opened, no one heard and they had to stop what they were doing to grab my order. They were nice about it, but it was clear that this was happening a lot and was making operations run rough. This will likely be resolved in time. The second part was the cost. Oh my goodness the cost! I ordered 5 bagels and it came to $75!!! They were good but that is insane. I can't imagine I'll be back again soon, just due to the costs.

Delicious bagel sandwiches! I got the cotton on Asiago and then an open face one with avocado on it. Also got their blended mocha, super rich but still good! We took them to the beach to enjoy. Pretty quick and nice service as well.I want to go back to try their blueberry cream cheese and their cinnamon crunch bagel.

Bagel Shack was just okay. I ordered a bagel with chive cream cheese, and it took 7 minutes to get to me--untoasted. I didn't specifically ask for it toasted, but most bagel places toast by default, so I was surprised. The bagel itself was dry, which made me wonder if toasting would have helped. The staff all seemed tired and unenthusiastic, though it was 8 AM, so I get it. On top of that, the bagel cost $5 +, which felt a bit pricey for what I got. For the wait time, quality, and price, I expected better. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

I love that they are open early. They have a good selection of flavors. The French toast is a favorite with my kids. The bagels are not as soft as I personally like but the kids love the bagels from here. The staff are always pleasant.

The Bagel Shack has my favorite bagels in Irvine! Their bagels have that nice chewy exterior that I've been searching for. It's a little more pricey than other bagel shops, with bagels being about $2.10 each or $12 for half a dozen. Interestingly, they don't upcharge for their Swiss, cheddar or jalapeño cheddar bagels. We got a lox bagel ($16), with cream cheese, tomato, onion and capers and served open-faced. I had been used to the fancy bagel sandwiches in LA, so it was almost a shock to see an old-fashioned style one for about the same price. At least it was loaded with three slices of salmon on each half. Online ordering prices on their website are inflated vs. in-store (single bagel is $2.75 online vs $2.10 and half-dozen is $15 instead of $12).This is a new location, so there wasn't any line when I visited on a weekend morning (as opposed to East Coast Bagels, where there's always a line at that time).

After visiting the location in Lake Forest several times, I was very looking forward to this location open as it's closer to where I live. I visited in the afternoon--given it was about an hour before closing, they were pretty slow. (Which was to be expected since this spot is more known for its breakfast). Inside was very clean and organized. For the time of the day, they still had a good selection of bagels left. The workers there were very friendly and took my order right away. I was in and out pretty fast which was good. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a iced caramel latte. The bagel was very fresh and had a good amount of cream cheese to bagel ratio. I would have liked a little more toasty, but that's something I will ask for next time. I was actually surprised how coffee forward the latte was. It had a bold and strong coffee flavor with hints of caramel flavor--it was very good! I will be back and can't wait to try other sandwiches on their menu.

Definitely a solid bagel shop! Been here a few times since they opened. Love how convenient and close they are. Typically they're pretty lowkey on weekdays and busy on weekends. Love how it's not trying to be a New York bagel shop, but rather embracing Orange County with their menu and decor. The service is usually solid. I definitely prefer it when the manager is there as he is always very friendly and welcoming, as opposed to the teenagers who don't seem as eager to answer questions. I typically switch up my order to try new things and no matter what, the bagels never disappoint. The texture is always so good. The one complaint is that the cheese bagels seem a little greasy, but other than that it's a phenomenal bagel. Glad this place is nearby

What a great little spot! Walked in on a Monday on a whim and was pleasantly surprised on the quality of the bagel sandwiches. I got the Wedge (pictured) on a Swiss bagel and my husband got the Lox bagel. Both were served open face and each was stacked with toppings. The Wedge was *chefs kiss*. They won a repeat customer!
