Came in with friends to catch up on life and ordered the papaya salad, fish cake, pad see ewe, and BBQ chicken. The portions are a good size. My favorite was the BBQ chicken which actually tastes like a baked chicken with a BBQ sauce that leans heavy on fish sauce. I love fish sauce. I would just come back for the BBQ chicken as it was very delicious. Fast service. Good parking. Casual.

This is my go to casual Thai spot in OC. I love supporting local mom and pop shops, and this one doesn't disappoint. It seems like this place is family owned. & the food is authentic as I always hear the ladies conversing in Thai in the front of the restaurant.Anyway, The service is pretty good, and the food comes out pretty quickly. My favourites are the duck curry (it's, rich flavourful, and perfectly balanced), the Chicken pad Thai (can't go wrong),And the ginger mushrooms. I haven't tried any of their other offerings as the three I stated above have been consistently excellent.Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Thai food and happen to be in the area.

I found Thai Chaiyo on Yelps list of places that are helping the fire victims. I wanted to try someplace i haven't been to.I had the BBQ rib lunch special with rice, salad, and two egg rolls. The food was delicious. I left with a happy tummy. Everyone here is really nice. Service was great. I recommend.

Ordered online through my corporate lunch catering vendor called Foodja, and they packed the lunch up so nicely for me. I requested extra spicy, and they did oblige with extra Thai pepper flakes! I love how soft and chewy these rice noodles were, it could've been a little spicier, but I understand they didn't wanna overdo it just in case. I would definitely make a visit in person if I'm ever in the area!

My wife and I came here Friday night about 45 minutes before their closing time so it wasn't too crowded but we were treated so nicely while we were here. Service, pricing, and food were all amazing! I'd definitely come back for more.

Really solid Thai food. We tried out the usual noodles like pad Thai, pad see ew and crab fried rice. All of them done well. If you forced me to rank them, I would put this place above all the ones in orange (and there are a lot of Thai places in orange).Service was great and the ambience is more homey and intimate. If you want better go to manaao.

Reasons why I love choosing Thai Chaiyo :(1) They offer free food delivery - if you're within their zone 1 or zone 2 AND with a minimum of $25 spend. (2) The pricing is very reasonable especially the lunch specials starting @ $11.50. I appreciate the fact that if you choose beef that they do not charge extra. Some Thai places do!(3) Food is here genuinely really good!Pretty much all the items I have ordered for my family and I have been delicious. Very fresh and savory. My parents favs (and mine as well) is the signature Tom Yum Rice Noodle Soup - a classic Thai-style hot and sour soup. Complex, yet comforting for it is bursting with citrusy, spicy, savory and sweet flavors! We also love getting the Garlic & Black Pepper Sauce with Beef and The Bun's fav is the BBQ Chicken. I am a huge curry fan and my favs here are: Massaman, Panang and Green curry. I truly appreciate they do not skimp out on the protein. As for appetizers - we love getting the Thai Rice Cake Chive, The Beef Jerky and the Chicken Wings were surprisingly scrumptious. Just wish for The Beef Jerky - portion was kinda small, perhaps more veggies to accompany it would be nice.I've never dined in before but I've done pick-up for take-out and as well as delivery. Although the interior is small with several tables to sit at, you can feel the hominess and comfortability. The staff are pleasant and friendly. I will definitely be back to try more of their items~ Gotta support the small mom & pop businesses!

Came to Thai Chaiyo the other day and it was a pretty standard experience. The food itself was decent but the service was lacking, so the restaurant was nothing special to me. The food itself was decent. I got the yellow curry and the green basil curry, and enjoyed both. The portion sizes were good for what you're paying for. On the other hand, I also got a mango sticky rice for dessert and was pretty disappointed. The coconut cream was a very watery consistency and the sticky rice itself was hard and cold. The service was slightly disappointing as well. The server barely checked in on our table and had to be flagged down a few times, only for them to cut us off mid-question and assume what he wanted. We had to ask for the same things many times, and it made us feel like a nuisance rather than customers. Parking: Ample parking in the plaza.

We were craving some good Thai food in Irvine and saw this place in Tustin and decided to give it a try because of the reviews. The restaurant is relatively small, where you're sitting super close next to the other party. Overall all the food was really sweet and wasn't anything mind blowing or wow factor. The ladies there were nice, but it wouldn't be my first choice!

Went here after work and it wasn't busy at first but within the hour it was packed. Quaint little place with about 7 tables. Food was good we tried a bit from different sections like pad Thai, crispy shrimp appetizers, pork fried rice. We were happy with everything but wouldn't get the crispy salty shrimp again due to lack of flavor. Service was fine. I would go back to try other items.
