Taste of Persia Bakery & Cafe

Everything I've ordered from Ellie (one of the owners) has been fresh and delicious. The bread reminds me of the fresh baked breads I tried in Iran as a kid. The breads strike a good balance between thickness, texture, fluffiness and crispyness. Ellie and her husband run a wonderful bakery and they use none of the toxic dough conditioners, preservatives, and other unnecessary additives that many other bakeries tend to add. I've tried all the other local Persian bakeries, and Taste of Persia is definitely the best when it comes to traditional Persian breads. I also noticed that they don't let any bread sit out for very long, and they are constantly rotating out the "old bread" (seems like an hour old) with the fresh bread and turn the older bread into crackers. This is now the only bakery I buy bread from. You'll appreciate the bread once you try it, and you'll also appreciate the transparency and ethics of the owners. I recommend cutting the bread into small pieces and freezing, and then toasting in the toaster oven for breakfast. 10/10!

New spot recently opened in OC for Persian style bread and confectionery. Bread is freshly made and tastes great!

Amazing! Honestly this is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. They make the best Persian breads. Plus for all the health fanatics out there who watch their carb intake, they do offer wheat as well...

A great new Persian bakery opened recently. We stopped by and got bread. The quality of the bread was great. I definitely recommend checking them out.

We LOVE the sangak and their other bread. Sangak comes with whole wheat and less. Their taftoon is also delicious! Give them a try

I was walking through the shopping center while I was waiting for my to go order at one of restaurants. Its a nice little bakery that cares about what they serve. Everything in the display looked great. I settled on the baklava. It was very good. Nice choice if you are in the area

I stopped by this place randomly while waiting for somebody in the parking lot. I tried some chocolate cake and baklava. Both were excellent. The chocolate cake was reminiscent of Black Forest German cake but it was definitely Persian. The baklava was quite luxurious. I ordered two but it was so rich I should have only had one. I'm going to try the breads next time.
