Patio was nice for sit down dinner, service was fast, and the bean and cheese burrito was amazing. Definitely will return for another beef crispy taco as well.

We frequent this small strip plaza for Koko Sushi and recently tried Santora next door, which have both been added to our go-to rotation. With this upward trend, we had to give Taqueros a try and y'all, it's a hit.We arrived at opening so we got to spend a bit of time figuring out what to get without holding up a line. When we finally settled, we got a few things to share. I chose the 3 Taco Plate and got a mix of meats - 2 carnitas and 1 chicken. The plate comes with rice and beans, so it was pretty filling. We also grabbed a cup of the Naranja agua fresca, which we were told was made with mandarin oranges. It was sweet, juicy and the perfect citrus flavor to cut through the spices we subjected ourselves to from the salsa bar.Hubs got the Cali Burrito. It was filled with Steak, Fries, Cheese, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Salsa and Rice. He chose to make it a combo with rice and beans on the side, but it ended up being a bit too much since it was already in the burrito. They also offer chips if you dine in, but we declined since we had a lot of food. They have a salsa bar near the front, so we got one of everything to give it a try. Hubs favorite was the verde (green) salsa since it was mild. I really enjoyed the verde with the carnitas, but if you love spicy, the light orange one definitely packed some heat. It's the type of heat that lingers and builds, but you can't stop eating it haha. I'm sure we'll be back. With the agua frescas using seasonal fruits, we are most anticipating their feature for Summer - possibly a watermelon refresher? I also want to give their chilaquiles and birria a try.

I stumbled upon Taqueros Mexican Restaurant after meeting up with friends next door at Santoras Pizza Subs & Wings. As I was wrapping up my visit, Sarah W enthusiastically suggested I check out "the Mexican place next door..." 'And so, I did!Up until then, I had been enjoying some beer and pupus, but it was mostly light snacks - though I believe I may have had more beer than wings... 'And maybe a shot or two of tequila in between. It turned out to be a great night at Santoras but I was still hungry. After leaving Santoras Pizza Subs & Wings, and entering Taqueros, I was warmly greeted by Isabel. Things were off to a fantastic start!Isabel - https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/taqueros-mexican-restaurant-mission-viejo?select=xQf4mwIT808OTn6JUSOjUQMy order:Birria Quesadilla - Big Flour Tortilla packed with Beef Birria, Melted Cheese, Cilantro, Onion and Limes. Short update: It's been a while since my last visit to this business. The last time we came we weren't happy about the items dropped from their menu. I understand that the business did this to give them more time for their family, which I respect. The decreased options unfortunately is what kept us away for a while. I don't know why we returned here the other night, other than I was craving tacos and we were at the mall. Imagine how surprised we were to see that the menu was full again. I'm not sure why items returned but it's for sure welcomed. We ordered a few items, which of course was delicious. But the birria...OMG the birria. I missed theirs so much. I'd forgotten just how delicious their birria is. I've had birria elsewhere but theirs is my favorite. Thanks for putting our faves back on the menu. We'll for sure be regulars again.

I've come here a few times now. The service is always excellent. Plenty of parking available. Outdoor and indoor sitting areas. Clean. Very Hispanic decor. I love that they always have the 2 teles playing something different. One of them always has this African safari show. The food is delicious. I have an obsession with their chips. Haven't been brave to try their salsa yet, but I may step up the chip game by trying their salsa dips. Their birria is delicious. Their tacos are fulfilling and well priced. The normal size tacos fill me up with just 2 and their Tuesday tacos fill me up with 3-4. They always have a variety of agua frescas, sodas and beer available.

The worst tamales I have ever had. Dry as the desert and dense. I waited about 20 minutes on a slow night for this. Also I paid $13 which is insane. I'm actually so bummed my dinner was ruined by how terrible this food is. This is the worst mexican food in Orange County. 0 stars if I could.

This is a long overdue review and I'm here to say this place never disappoints. Fresh food, great service, affordable and near my home what more can I ask for! My husband and I used to drive to Santa Ana for their Quesabirria and since finding this gem we no longer have to.Definitely one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants.

Great for lunch. They have vegetarian friendly beans and the bean and cheese burrito and crispy potato tacos are good. Sometimes they have the cucumber lime drink

I have been to this restaurant before because I have had the birria tacos and they were all right from what I remembered. I was in the area today and went by for lunch. My main concern for this review and my reason for one star is the cleanliness. After the cashier had taken my order mind you I paid with cash so he was handling the money with his bare hands. After he began to eat with his fingers from a bowl that was sitting in the back by the cooks. I was watching him, feed himself and lick his fingers. He did not wash his hands, only wiped them on a towel that was there. Then he began to bag up my order. I was absolutely disgusted, as I was standing there, contemplating whether I should ask for my money back as I didn't really want to eat the food after seeing that. I have attached a photo of my tacos so you can see that they don't look the same as other tacos in the pictures. I guess if it's a different Cook, you get a different outcome. There's no true consistency in their food. After this, I definitely will not be coming back . I hope the owners have cameras so they can start to look at their employees and what they do. This will affect their restaurant in the long-term and can cause for state inspections. You can go to La Tia in Mission Viejo off of Alicia and Trabuco. They have amazing tacos three of them for $10. I paid over 15 for these three tacos at Taqueria de anda never again
