Yikes, this place intentionally overcharged me. I ordered a carne asada plate which was almost $20! I did notice that the owner rang me as "custom item" which means essentially you can charge any amount. I had ordered it before and thought ok it's been a while maybe the price went up. I paid for it then looked at the menu. For any combination it is only $12.99. Basically just asada, rice, and beans such as what I received. Shady business and never again.Edit: the meat was hard snd dry. If you're going to overcharge me at least make it good.

I just came back from Mexico City recently & was missing the lengua and cabeza tacos they had there. I found this place on Yelp during my lunch break and it was close by, so I thought I'd try it. These tacos definitely aren't street tacos -- they're HUGE. One got me super full, and they pile on so much meat in each taco. It's definitely a good bang for your buck! I ordered the lengua taco and the cabeza taco. The lengua taco was delicious and the quality and taste of it reminded me of the ones I had in Mexico. The cabeza taco, however, was far too fatty than what I'm used to so it was a bit overwhelming for me. I couldn't even eat half of it. But hey, if you're into the super tender and fatty cabeza then go for it! It just wasn't prepared the way that I like it. I would not order the cabeza taco here again. The tacos came out piping hot and since the tacos were so huge, they broke when I tried to pick them up. I used a fork to eat the tacos. The people in there were incredibly friendly and kind, striking up a nice conversation with me. That gave them an extra star. The ambiance is typical of a taco joint but it was nice that there were seats so you could eat inside.Overall, not too bad, and I'd come here again next time I crave lengua!

This place blew me away. The food blew me away. I tried the ribs, tried the nachos, and tostada and they were incredible. Can't wait to come back.

I don't know about everything on the menu but I can attest to the cabeza tacos I ordered. It was awesome and let's just say, I'll be back for more. The tacos are not street size. They are double the size and that's why you see the pricing at $4+ for tacos. Well worth it!

When I walked I they were talking about tamale so I got a tamale. It was different from what I had before. It was wrapped in a banana leaf rather than a corn husk. It had potato and the chicken was bone on with ribs attached. After that I had a carnita taco, the carnita was dry and crispy. The owner was friendly add one star,

I had a great experience here! I was craving a torta and Taqueria Las Alondras was around the corner from where I was at the time. Very hole in the wall, which I'm a fan of. I was early for lunch and there was only one other patron there, sitting at one of the tables outside.I was greeted warmly and ended up ordering the asada torta. The man who took my order (Nick, who I believe is the owner?) struck up a conversation and we ended up chatting while my torta was being made. I'm new-ish to the area and it was really nice to encounter someone so friendly.I had ordered my torta to go so after it was finished I left to eat it at home, really hoping that the taste would match the friendly service. Very happy to report that it did!The bread was soft and toasted, as it should be. There was a layer of beans, lettuce, tomatoes, asada, fresh cotija cheese, avocado, and sour cream. I love spicy and I was pleased that the spicy salsa I had requested was indeed spicy. I intended to eat half and save half for later... but it was so good I ended up finishing the whole thing in one go. I was also given some chips and I tried one just to see what it was like, and it was good. Nice and thick and crunchy.I did see they have a taco Tuesday deal ($1.99 tacos at the time of writing), and the menu was pretty extensive. I plan to go back to try other items, and at the very least I now have a solid torta spot. Thank you!

After dining at this local neighborhood restaurant for over 7 months, I recommend Taqueria Las Alondras. This is a typical family run restaurant like you would find in many communities of Baja California. Very clean restaurant and very quaint outdoor dining in their patio. Their menu is extensive offering a diverse selection from soups, salads, sandwiches, combination plates and desserts. They have a great salsa bar that offers a wonderful tomatillo salsa, a fabulous avocado salsa and a chili de arboreal salsa. You can't go wrong with the food and outstanding service. This is not a fancy restaurant by any means. Like I mentioned, this is a typical small town restaurant reminiscent of old Baja California. I do not support national or regional restaurants in general. I do strongly support small family restaurants. If you're looking for a no frills restaurant offering exceptional Mexican cuisine, please support this local business.

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant. It seems that they are just making by there there loyal customers base or someone like me rolling in their. It's clean but interior is on the low end which I'm ok with. The food was ok not bad and fairly priced. Now would I return? Maybe if I was in the area and I really want some authentic food yes!

The food wasn't good. They were out of pastor and the tortillas were crunchy and way too big, the asada had wayyy too much fat on it and the carnitas were super greasy and had no flavor really. The salsas were good and the guy gave us a free refill on the horchatas. I'm not sure if it's cause he was an older gentleman or if he was trying to get over on me and 2 others but he charged me for 6 tacos when I only ordered 2. Also pretty pricey for what it is. Won't be going back.
