Tantalum Restaurant

First off, there is plenty of parking where they are located. When you first come in the restaurant is very dark with dim lighting. We came on a Saturday at 6pm and they had just started setting up for a live band. We ordered a few appetizers. The calamari was definitely the best one, if you had to choose one appetizer that's the one you need to choose. If you are looking to have a conversation this is not the place to go. The music and noise all around was a bit unbearable at some points. The singer at one point just started to almost yell. Was very confused about what was going on there. I got the ribeye sandwich and my husband got the burger. We both shared and I definitely preferred his burger though the sandwich was delicious. The burger was super juicy and flavorful. The serving size of the skinny fries was crazy! There were so many!The service was great and our server was super helpful and fun. Loved the place, I think I'll just come without the live music and maybe in the morning for some light.

The food was great! Dont forget to order the calamari as its a MUST have! I love their coctails and sliders!The service was good and the vibe is always great. One of my fave LB restaurants and it doesn't disappoint The video shows all the food we got instead of the chicken lollipops which are def worth a try!

We were seated outside for the lovely marina view.Service: terrificFood: seems like a big Polynesian influence where the food is a bit sweet. Great if that's your jam.Overall, it's a very fun, unique theme experience.

Wow this place was great! My friends and I made a reservation for a Saturday night, and I'm glad because it got pretty packed. There was a live jazz band playing, which made for a nice little show. I ordered the wasabi crusted filet mignon, and man was it good! Everything about it was delectable. I don't even really like mushrooms much, but I would definitely order it again. And the banana bread pudding for dessert was also great. It was very sweet, but had a nice consistency and flavor. Loved this place, and would definitely recommend!

A friend and I caught up post my birthday and the holidays. What a treat it is to experience Tantalum! A hidden gem tucked in the corner of a shopping center next to Nordstrom rack and Acapulcos.The moment you walk in, you're taken to another continent, culture and world. The atmosphere is a huge plus with all the details from the plants to the restroom door kick plate.Once your eyes adjust to the dimness, you start to notice the views fromThe bar and patio. A marina with boats and passersby on their boats and the sunset!This was a visit for happy hour and more chit chat with my friend. Enjoyed the fried Brie with the fruited sauce that had a kick to it. Honestly couldn't tell you what fruit but all I know it was delish! The cocktails will do that to you LOLOL. Speaking of cocktails the Tanta oldFashion was traditional and strong which I like. Nothing out of this world but a good serving and kick. Service was good could have been better if they had more than 1 server. She was doing a great job even when it was starting to get very busy.Such a great restaurant. Perfect for your group get together at the bar or even having a private back room with a Buffett for a birthday would be fun here. Feel like you want to transport yourself into another world- come here and enjoy yourself. Will be back for some banana bread pudding!

I went during Happy Hour and gotSkinny Fries $5 (not pictured) 5/5Basic Well Cocktail (Classic Margarita) 4/5They had a small menu option for happy hour but definitely worth coming to take in the views of the waterfront from the bar. I also went during the week so it was not too crowded. I was there for a company dinner so for my entree I ordered the Scottish Salmon and it was just okay. It was nothing special and I felt like the flavors clashed together. I would not order it again.

Tantalum is in a beautiful space with marina views that make you feel like you've been transported out of Long Beach. You can come in just for drinks and appetizers and sit at the long bar with a perfect view of the water or sit at a table for a more intimate experience. They do show sports on the TVs at the bar, and on a Tuesday night they had live music as well.The menu is mainly Asian-influenced and we really enjoyed the food! My friend and I shared the Beef and Chips to start, their version of a poutine with short rib, duck fat fries and a white cheddar truffle sauce. The fries stayed crispy the whole time, the short rib was so tender and the cheese sauce perfectly complemented the dish. I went in with plans to order the mahi mahi but couldn't resist the Ulu Watu, an udon and filet mignon dish with tons of flavor that was a special for the night. I would consider this more of a special occasion restaurant but I look forward to returning.

It's tucked in the corner of the shopping center, but its jungle-like entrance draws you in. It's very dark inside though so be aware. We were lucky enough to have the entire back room to ourselves as well.The islander vibe comes through with their menu items and we rate not disappointed. We did however opt for a Bordeaux blanc for a light drink instead of a cocktail.The tuna tartare was delicious albeit spicier than we imagined. We also ran out of chips towards the end of the appetizer.My wasabi crusted filet was perfection. There was no overpowering wasabi flavor, or reaction. It had a pleasant crunch to the bite.My husband's short rib sliders were tasty and definitely required the fondue that accompanied it to balance its dryness alone. The truffle mac he got was huge, easily for two people but oh so good and earthy!!! Our waitress was great and attentive, we left feeling like we were well taken care of care of and will be back in the future.

Gorgeous gorgeous restaurant with a great view of the water. Parking was easy and plentiful. Service was fast and friendly. Got some tasty cocktails and I had the Mahi mahi which was so tasty.

The restaurant is nice inside. The food is overpriced and not that great because it lacks a lot of flavor. The dishes look pretty, but they do not layer any flavoring and lack serious seasoning across the board.This place is good for a date because it's intimate, but the food will still leave you hungry and your bill will be through the roof.Good spot for the young , not good for families or anyone over the age of 35.
