Tacos La Pina

Got a chance to sample some of TLP's menu today and it was all fantastic. They prepped everything super fresh, and their service was incredible. I especially appreciated them being incredibly considering of some folks in our groups dietary restrictions (vegan & halal). They are based out of The Hood Kitchen Space so the ambiance is non-traditional - tables outside in the business park. It is close to John Wayne Airport so there are quite a few planes passing overheads, but it is a nice place to grab a quick bite nonetheless. The main way id eat TLP again is via takeout, and their packaging is top notch, ensuring that your tacos stay in good shape until you get home! I especially loved the Shias fees as and seasoned chips, as well as the homemade tortillas and can't wait to try more!

If you're looking for Authentic Mexican, this is the spot! We ordered Al pastor and carne asada tacos as well as the chorizo and cheese. The carne was seasoned perfectly. We had it plain so our 2 year old would eat it. He of course liked the queso-taco. They grill the cheese and get a good crisp on the edges before adding it to the tortilla. We enjoyed the chorizo so much, we went back for another one and decided to try the churros. OH MY GOODNESS, these took me back to the days my mom would make homemade buñuelos. Such amazing sugary-cinnamon deliciousness. The service was great, despite the limited seating inside. The outdoor seat is better if it isn't so cold. The kiosk for ordering is very user friendly.They're only open Tuesday and Thursday currently. BUT they're working on getting a permanent spot (near the airport) that should be opening in the summer, look for it, you'll be glad you did!The Only remark would be to blend the rice in the horchata a bit more. The horchata flavor was sensational, certainly most like my mamas recipe!

Tacos aren't authentic!I literally got my tacos and it was cold. From the tortillas to the carne (meat). I ordered tacos al pastor and they were more tacos adobada than anything. The service was rushed. They didn't even give out lemones, salt, or salsa without charging their paying customers. Nearly $4 for a small taco!They'll even wrap up their tacos with aluminum foil and not even the foil was hot. Disappointed!

Had a great meal here. This spot is in one of those shared kitchens but they have everything branded as basically their spot. We ordered 4 out of their 6 tacos and they were all good. Our favorite was the carne asada though because it wasn't your typical carne asada. Instead of being like little mini chopped up bits of steak these were actually chunks. They were super tender and flavorful. My girlfriend doesn't usually like carne asada because of the quality of the meat but she loved these and wanted to come back for more right after we left. The chips are really good too so definitely get at least one combo whether it be with the salsa or the guacamole. Coming back for all the asada!

This is our GO TO taco place in Costa Mesa. The tacos are always freshly made, guacamole is amazing as are the chips and salsas. You can order on line or in person.They are in a shared kitchen so limited availability - only Tuesdays and Thursdays for now - but what a treat and we do look forward to them. Very limited menu which means they know what they can and do well and they do it consistently.The boxes the combinations come in are super sturdy - way over built and I hope that they aren't spending too much on these cute pink boxes because I want them to be around for a long long time making tacos. You can serve mine in a paper bag for all I care - haha!See you on Tuesday.

Woah. Some of the best tacos al pastor I've ever had. Interesting concept: I think they designed it for takeout orders, but accommodate eat-in diners (everything is served in what is essentially a to-go box).But man... those were some good tacos.

The best under the radar Taco spot in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa! It's located at a shared kitchen space with ample parking which is a great combination because after ordering, you're able to look at all of the other incredible food options in the building including Pie's, Lucie's Kitchen and more! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu but my favorite is the mushroom taco, chips and guacamole and Agua Frescas!

Tacos are cold and meats are super dry. The flavors are kinda off, too little sauce on the taco, overall, am not that impressed, and thought you would want to add a couple slices of lemon would be great. Salsa is dry too.. service is good, quick, and thoughtful, just the food quality was kinda disappointed. I'm not going to leave a bad star this time because i know your business is still new and new businesses are struggling, however, i hope this feedback would help you to improve the quality going forward to attract more customers.
