Taco Connection

I'd drive from almost anywhere for this. You won't get a more satisfying meal for the price. Service, atmosphere and that grilling smell. I'll be taking everyone there tomorrow for Fathers Day.

Tacos are so bomb! Fresh off the grill!! There aguas are fire!!! Definitely recommend the vampiros de chorizo and a mulita de carne asada bomb!!!

I went to get my normal fix of pastor tacos from Ayutla Oaxaca, but I was still craving something crispy/crunchy and cheesy. Wandered a couple of trucks down (seriously, Central Street is popping with trucks now) to Taco Connection, and I thank the taco gods for my fortuitous encounter with this truck. This truck specializes in tacos al carbon--charcoal grilled. My review is specific to the two items I tried, although I'm very confident everything else is just as good. I tried the campechano gringa taco: griddled cheese shell topped with a mix of some of their meats. It was 5/5. Crispy and maintained its shape without falling apart. Meats were tender and smokey. Also had their vampiro with chuleta, which is pork chop/tenderloin cooked over mesquite charcoal. 5/5. Tortilla was crunchy with a nice chew. Chuleta was the star of the evening. Just the right amount of fat, tender, smokey, and crispy along the skin. It could definitely give the pastor nearby a run for its money. Good selection of aguas. Salsas were excellent (I recall a roasted tomatillo, jalapeno salsa verde, and a spicy orange habanero). Prices are a bit steeper than your usual truck, but it's so worth it. I will be heading back tomorrow night for more. Don't sleep on this place.

Look...if you're in Santa Ana and didn't stop by Taco Connection. Did you really visit Santa Ana? Even if you're a native to Santa Ana, you have to stop by Taco Connection to get your taco fix. Pick your poison, you can get the gringas (my favorite), regular tacos, vampiros, burritos or even quesadillas! Not only that, my favorite go-to drink is the Cucumber Agua Fresca to wash all that flavor-packed taco down. They got it all! Also, everything is homemade and packed with tons of flavor from the meat cooked on the mesquite grille to the homemade habanero sauce, MAN! If you're looking for those late cravings, Taco Connection should be the go-to-stop.

Amazing authentic Mexican food.I always order the vampiros, but today the owner recommended I try the chuleta mulita. Wow, this was amazing! The chile oil gives it a big KICK...The chile habanero, the best I ever tasted! I could not get enough of it. Guacamole simply delicious. I highly recommend the chamberete tacos for those of you who prefer tongue, or cabeza tacos the meat is so tender it melts in your mouth....

If you're a burrito lover I am recommending the mixta burrito . My wife had the carne asada torta which she liked. The vibe there is chill laid back. The customer service is great as well. If you talk to the owner tell him David recommended The Taco Connection to you... enjoy!

I've been coming here since they first started and it is amazing seeing them grow as a business. All their meats are "Al Carbon" this isn't your average taco place. I highly highly recommend this place. Once you try this place you won't go back.
