Not a fortnight shall pass without a vanilla frosted chocolate cupcake.Maybe my first time here was a fluke. The cake is fluffy, bouncy, and has a perfect crumb.The buttercream frosting does not disappoint. But, the apple crumb pie reigns supreme. Epic balance between crumb and sliced apples.

SusieCakes is an absolute fave. Whenever I'm out in the OC area, I try to grab some treats from here. I love their chocolate cake. It is one of the best I've ever had. They had a whiskey vanilla cupcake. It was good but not one of my favorites. Their mocha cupcake is also very delicious!This location is a walkup counter where you order from a case of yummy delicious goods. The staff was nice and accommodating when asked questions about their offerings.Highly recommend SusieCakes for anyone with a sweet tooth looking for a nice treat!

I have been a fan of Susie cakes since they opened at this location. All their cakes and cupcakes are delicious. They also have large variety of flavors. Their customer service is also amazing. They always make sure we got the cake decorated the way we want it. The place is clean and you can even see their kitchen and how they decorate their baked goods.They have outdoor dining areas as well.Definitely the best one for all occasions!!

This was my first time at Susie Cakes - I had heard about it but I didn't realize how close it was to my office. I was in a pinch and needed some cake for a little get-together for my son's 'early' birthday celebration, but I definitely didn't want grocery store cake. I'm actually a baker, so the bar is set high for my family when it comes to cake - they are used to having fresh baked cakes that aren't dry or that have been in the freezer for who knows how long. But since this little celebration was pulled together kinda at the last minute, and it was during the week, I really didn't have any time to bake. Thank goodness SusieCakes popped up on my Yelp search!I picked up a few slices - carrot, marble and celebration vanilla - which were perfect for 5 people. We actually had some leftover. Everyone really enjoyed them - they weren't dry, you could tell tbey were fresh baked, and they tasted really good. The only one that someone commented on was the vanilla celebration cake - that it was too sweet. But I have to admit that this is a great option for me when I'm in a pinch. It's hard to find bakeries that I'm ok with buying cake at when I'm not able to bake myself.We're actually having another get-together tonight, so I'm going back after work to pick up some treats we can have for dessert.Just a note - they have an app which you can earn points towards I'm not really sure what - but if you like earning points with your purchases, be sure to load the app and create a profile before going there - their wi-fi is REALLY slow so it'll take you forever if you do it there - that's what happened to me.The shop is small but cute - they have a few little party supplies available, and the young ladies who helped me were very nice!

I'm sorry Susie, but I'll have to break up with you. For so many years, since your first Brentwood bakery opened I've been a fan. First, you now have employees that work here that obviously don't give a f*ck and they have terrible attitudes (Elaine), minus Noel. The client experience, docking 2 stars. You don't offer miniature cupcakes unless they are pre-ordered, there goes another Star. What happened to cookies, banana pudding, lemon and berry bars? And now this pre-packaged, pre-assembled cupcake box?!?! You and your strategic team of bakers have lost it or lost touched on the essence of being our local bakery. So commercialized! If this was the case I'd driven further to Costco for something prepackaged and yucky yet at least the folks at Costco are NICER and more professional!

I still come back to SusieCakes when I want cake. I have a sweet tooth, but I am also picky when it comes to my sweets so I don't love all things sweet. When it comes to cake, I'm not a huge fan unless it hits all the marks. SusieCakes takes the cake! I continue to be amazed by the quality of their cakes. The most notable thing about their cakes is how moist they are. That is the number one thing about cakes that is a must for me and SusieCakes does it well.My favorites continue to be Fresh Berry Vanilla Cake (seasonal), Carrot Cake, Tropical Coconut Cake, and Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake. They are pricey, but not overly so. You're paying for the quality and hefty slice of cake. The people who work at this location is always friendly and efficient. Their store is clean and bright - I just love everything SusieCakes!

It was my husbands birthday and I got slices of carrot cake, German chocolate cake and coconut cake. The cake was very dense and wasn't as fluffy. The banana cupcake was also very dense too sweet. The chipset chip cookie was by the far the best. Each slice of cake was about $8. I probably wouldn't return back just because the cake was too sweet and too dense. My husband wasn't a fan either unfortunately. Service was great though and they were all nice.

SusieCakes is my absolute small chain bakery, and CM is my favorite location! Not sure how this is my first review but nevertheless, here we are! What I love most about this location is that even though they may not know me by name, I know they recognize me and always give me the best greetings. The staff is consistently nice, consistently helpful, and warm and inviting. I've been helped by many, but today, shoutout to Suzie! I bought a mint chocolate, pumpkin cream cheese, sees Bordeaux, and received a red velvet cupcake for having my leg pulled lol. All were delicious! I love the sees candy collaboration. The other thing about SusieCakes is that the product is always consistent. I've never had a bad cupcake, cookie, cake or pie slice. I'll probably be taking another trip in for Thanksgiving!

I recently tried their carrot cake, gingerbread cookie, and two cupcakes (Vanilla and Strawberry).The carrot cake was flavorful, though a bit too sweet for my taste. I found myself wishing they offered hot tea, which would be a perfect pairing to help balance the richness of the cake.The gingerbread cookie was lovely--soft with a touch of chewiness that made it irresistible. A great seasonal treat!But the real stars of the show were the cupcakes. Both the Vanilla and Strawberry cupcakes were incredible! The buttercream was light, soft, and delicately sweetened, leaving me satisfied without the dreaded sugar crash.The store itself was clean and bright! i wished they had a little seating area so I can enjoy my treats there and chat with a few friends. Thankfully this plaza offered tons of place for seating BUT no where sold hot tea! Only cold boba and on a cold night I did not want that.

Love Susie cupcakes and cookies! Always fresh! always yummy! In my experience the staff has been exceptional! Kind, courteous and friendly Hope you add a hummingbird cake soon! They're my favorite!
