Clean environment with quality food. The fish is really fresh and well prepared. Service is a little slow. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended!

I've been coming to Sushi Noguchi for a years now. Solid place for great quality sushi and they always made us feel welcome. We bring our friends here whenever someone is in the mood for great sushi and omakase. Hiro and Jun (owners) are always so friendly. Recently we came in for Valentine's Day and ordered the Valentine Omakase special. It was delicious per usual. We sat at the sushi bar and had the pleasure of being seated in front of Hiro. Everything was so fresh and tasted great. We had a seaweed starter, sashimi set, 2 sets of nigiri, and 2 hand rolls (uni and otoro). We were so stuffed and felt like it was definitely worth the price. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Would definitely recommend reservations on holidays. It was super busy on Valentine's Day.They are a great option for takeout orders as well. We ordered Hiro's omakase during the pandemic and it was so good! We live about 10-15 min away and the food held up great.

Decided to take my fiance here for Valentines Day. I wanted to have more traditional style sushi instead of the run of the mill California rolls with all the heavy cream based sauces. I saw that Sushi Noguchi was ranked as a top sushi place here in the OC. I made an 8 o'clock reservation for the 2 of us.We were seated on time and given the menus which included their Valentines Day special Omakase. We tried to enquire about what was included with the V.D special and got a vague run down of what was included. That should have been my first clue to leave. Against my better judgment we decided to do the $180.00 per person Omakase special. I did explain that I unfortunately have a shell fish allergy andthey were ok with substituting. 1st course came out promptly which was a fine seaweed "soup". It was tasty and got me looking forward to what was to come. We waited for over an hour watching other tables get plate after plate of food. Finally the guy pouring water noticed that I was becoming frustrated with the wait. The sashimi plate finally arrived and while the fish and garnish were delicious the portion was small. My fiance had gotten shrimp on hers and they offered to deep fry the head or make miso soup with it. She chose to have the miso soup. 2 soups with shrimp heads are set down... I kindly remind the server of my allergy which she apologized and took the extra bowl back. Minutes later she returned with the same bowl of soup with shrimp in it. I ask if they have the soup without the shrimp which she confirmed they do.... then never returned with it until I was able to flag her down another 20 minutes later.Just as I finally get my soup they bring nagiri. The first 5 out of 10 nagiri were flavorful but again portion size was small. Wait another 20 minutes for the next 5 to come out... this time I'm served clam.... Again I remind her of my allergy.. this is now the 3rd time I've been served shell fish, had she not explained each piece I might have mistaken it for tako as it had a similar appearance. Final course was uni and a tuna hand roll. While good again portions were small. All in all I am disappointed that I spent 400 dollars on sushi and walked out still hungry. I'm only giving 2 stars because the quality of the fish was excellent but the portions were not worth the money I spent and the wait between each course was way to long. I definitely won't come back nor recommend the omakase menu to anyone.

We ordered:Premium Assorted Sashimi Rainbow & Crunchy RollsAgedashi TofuMixed TempuraGrilled Amberjack CollarMiso CodChawanmushiI would describe this experience as high quality, small portions, and pricey. Save it for special occasions and don't expect to fill up unless you have a small stomach. I was very impressed with the flavor and texture of the sashimi and the fish on the rainbow rolls. Agedashi tofu and Chawanmushi were quite flavorful and perfectly executed. The miso cod and grilled hamachi collar were okay, I've had better versions.Service was good and I would recommend making a reservation.

It's been a minute since my last visit, but I dined here recently and had a wonderful experience. We made reservations for dinner, and everything was set up when we arrived. We looked through the menu and decided on some nigiri, hand rolls, tempura, starters, and a couple of beers. The sushi tasted fresh and well prepared, and the nigiri were decently sized. I enjoyed the Baked Blue Crab Handroll and the Agedashi Tofu. Overall, everything was delicious. We had one child with us; his order was the karaage (fried chicken) plate for kids. The staff was excellent, and the owner greeted us and ensured everything was going well. This is a solid sushi restaurant. with a relaxed atmosphere, and I hope to return to try the omakase and other offerings.

We did the Hiro Omakase - this was my first time doing Omakase. Our waitress made me feel safe and was very accommodating as well as intelectual with each dish we were served. I was definitely pushed outside my comfort zone with a few items of food but I also found a few things that were enjoyable and delicious. I frequently do all you can eat sushi at a different place but this is a more elegant style sushi and more of an experience than filling.

It's a very traditional sushi spot, the staff are very respectful and the food they bring out is high quality. A must have for people who like a more traditional authentic experience with Japanese food. Omakase available as well. The inside of the restaurant feels very traditional, neat and aesthetic too.

Sushi is amazing! It's our favorite spot in Orange County to get sushi. The only con is that they're not open till late night. Yorba Linda restaurants need to be open to later at night. Overall, food and location is amazing

Jun's and Premium Omakase were soooo good. Each course was filled with quality ingredients and had a good portion size. Fish were fresh and melted in your mouth. By far the best sushi in town. Their interior ambiance is perfect for a date night, and their rising sun roll is to die for. Sushi was extra fresh and their service was immaculate. I'm glad I found this hidden gem!
