Sushi Hama

I went all out, and I mean all out, at Sushi Hama for the first time. Otoro, chutoro, tuna, yellowtail, salmon, blue crab, yellowtail collar, kiss roll, and a chefs dessert tuna. Threw 3 hot sakes and an Asahi on top of that to wash it down.The otoro and chutoro obviously blew my mind. Worth every penny. Every single one of them came with an extra piece which surprised me!! Don't be afraid to splurge here and Chef will take care of you.Top 3 sushi experience of my life. Bought chef a shot and enjoyed everything he churned out for us. Amazingly fresh, nice staff!

First time coming here! I wanted to try a new sushi spot in the area and this one is the best. The prices are SO GOOD and the food is DELICIOUS. Vicky, the receptionist and the bartender, and the waiter were SO NICE to us. We ordered to go , but sat down to drink some 15$ SOJU and they gave us 2 complimentary pieces of sushi roll. They had just opened at 4 pm so it was empty and I got to take some pictures of the atmosphere.Definitely come eat here!!

I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time this week. What a culinary experience!Food was delicious. The creative masterpieces presented to me were fresh, artistic and I could taste the layers of flavor in each bite .My new favorite sushi destination

They have amazing rolls and great quality sushi too. The workers there are very nice and they have a good selection of sake. The interior is nice and clean and just a great place to spend the evening with friends.

I visited this restaurant this past weekend with my cousin as we were craving sushi. The staff were all very friendly and our food came pretty quickly. We ordered a few salmon rolls, and crispy rice roll. Everything was good except the crispy rice roll that was cold and super hard as if it had been sitting out for a while. It tasted old. Other than that I would definitely recommend. Location is nice where you can enjoy a walk on the pier after. Place was small and quaint and clean. Will go back again to try something different.

The Otoro Tuna really saved the day. At $19 for two pieces, it has to be one of my favorite tuna pieces that I have had thats not from Japan!The setting is small but very modern and new! The service was slow because the staff always had to ask the main manager questions at the front. She was clearly running the show, but they had to ask her for everything, and she even rang us up at the end with the check. It's not the biggest deal, but I heavily disliked my rainbow roll. The fish tasted dried out, and I found plastic from a wrapper on my sushi still! That should have been taken care of before it got sent out. Moving forward, they need to handle some of the issues of being a new restaurant but probably would skip out if in the Seal Beach area. The chicken karaage was good, though!

Just so nice to sit at an old school sushi bar with the chef and his helper cranking out good quality fish, fresh, fair servings, good service, great pricing and the best thing; they use real crab in their rolls, just make sure you request it. Nothing fancy about the place, which we actually found refreshing! Since ditching our old favorite place for 30 years, we had not had sushi for over a year until last night...we found our new spot.

Overall would rate this between 3 & 4 stars. Ambiance and atmosphere: 4-5 stars. Very clean, well decorated, nicely lit restaurant on Main Street. Service: 4 stars. Had to ask a few times for more water, server was unable to identify all the types of sashimi we ordered. The owner was very friendly and attentive. Flavor: 3 stars. Bland rolls, sashimi was good but nothing exceptionally fresh. Probably won't be back unless invited to join with friends.

Tried it once, the fish was super fresh and nice big pieces. Nothing super unique in terms of rolls, more traditional sushi but great quality and nice service.

If you haven't been to Sushi Hama yet, you're seriously missing out. Hands down the best sushi and ramen in Seal Beach. Everything tastes so fresh, and the quality of the fish is on another level. Every bite is bursting with flavor. The ramen is rich and comforting--honestly, I could eat it every day.What really makes this place special is the owners--they're the sweetest couple and really know how to make you feel welcome. Plus, the food comes out fast, and the atmosphere is just perfect for a relaxed meal. No doubt I'll be back again and again. Highly recommend!
