Surfin Donuts

Sweet little donut shop right off freeway. I was driving to San Diego and needed my donut fix. Very beachy vibe! I got my standard sprinkle cake donut and added a warm ham and jalapeno croissant. Can't go wrong!I am a fan of Surfin Donuts!

We were told this was an "institution" so how could we not get some donuts?Quick and prompt service. Very large selection of donuts all fresh and delish. We had maple bars, chocolate glazed, and my fave a blueberry.The chai espresso lattes were very very good and better priced than Starbucks. We went several mornings in a row for coffee.The vibe is local and kind of "if you know, you know." Plenty of outdoor seating at benches and around back. There was very swift business in and out. Lots of fun people watching with families, dogs, and surfers all grabbing their grub.

Love this spot so much. Every time we come down to San O to surf we always need to make a stop at surfin donuts. Amazing donuts, fresh oj, great espresso and coffee with lots of flavor options. What's not to love? Also be sure to try their ham and cheese bagels, they are amazing especially when fresh. They have a decently sized parking lot as well which is usually easy to get a spot. On a busy morning you might have to park in the street but it's easy.

Great coffee, great donuts, but parking is very limited. I do recommend because service is very exceptional

Did someone say donuts?. Someone did! I heard it!This is absolutely this place! Best frigging donuts in South OC! The best and biggest too! Service can be a little slow first thing in the AM and early weekends. Wanna know why? They got the best frigging donuts! They offer other items but I have not tried them. I'm all about the donuts!Get there early or be patient. It's a donut shop!. The only bad thing I can say is that it's too close to home and a very short walk. Gonna get in trouble with my cardiologist!

I usually get a number 2 with a croissant but then I saw this one with a donut instead

Okay, I love Apple fritters And my friend and I discovered we had this in common. She raved about this spot but I always forget when I'm driving by (from San Diego or Santa Barbara). Today she brought me one and oh myyyyyyyyy. She wasn't kidding. Sometimes you get Apple fritters that are doughy or gooey in the middle because they haven't cooked through and those are my least favorite. These are crunchy on outside and perfect on the inside. Even after the drive from san Clemente to carlsbad they are better than any Apple fritter I have had in years. I see this potentially becoming a problem. So good and wait! What? There's blueberry too? Have to go to San Juan Capistrano on Tuesday I see blueberry in my future!!

Classic donut spot. Some donuts were good some were not. The glazed and chocolate raised donuts were superior. I would just get glazed lol The apple fritter was flat, hard, and ridiculously rich. Like 3 bites you're nauseously full.Glazed 8/10The rest: 3/10Their croissants look pretty solid. ‍

Respectfully, the food here is not good. My cinnamon twist donut did not taste like cinnamon, and my chocolate cake sprinkled donut was pretty flavorless. There were also round sprinkles on the donut that were so hard, it hurt every time I bit down on one. My boyfriend's egg, bacon, cheese, and jalapeño croissant sandwich was dismal.The coffee was decent though! On the whole, this was a disappointing use of $25 :(

I was in San clemente, CA for a marine reunion for my dad and we all thought lets give it a go before we pick up his friend so we did If I could I would give it a 6. Their mango smoothie was DELICIOUS If I were you I would definitely try it . If you every want some good donuts and coffee just go their it is cheap they are VERY kind they will help you with anything you need. They will not get mad or frustrated. They decorations are really aesthetic and pretty. So If you are every in the area pop In and please help that small local coffee shop. I AM IN LOVE, and I hope you will too.
