I have been eating at this chain for years! You always get good food with large portions. The service is always great, whether you're eating in or getting it to go. The vibe is basic Mexican restaurant but is cool. I would have given 5 stars but my crunchy taco was falling apart when it made it to the table. I wish places ensured that they fried the shells so that the customer actually had a crunchy taco when it hit the table.

Order through Door Dash ~3/5 The food was cold. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with a churro. The bean and cheese burrito has shrunk in size since the last order in the spring. It was cold but tasted good. The churro was horrible and tasted like cardboard! It was not worth the money nor wait. Darn! I was hoping for a moist inside of the churro.

The food wasn't that good supposed to be hardshell tacos and they weren't even fried hard. The portions were small for the price.

Food is not the greatest. But service was very cool. Ambience is nice. They have Mexican music playing. So that went well with me. Plenty of seating. I tried the chile verde with rice and beens. Chile verde lacked a tiny bit of flavor. It's like they boil the meat and then mix it with salsa verve. Then put everything in a plate with rice and beans. And warm up the whole thing. Chips and salsa to start is always a plus. Tap beer -yes. Will take that.

We chose to sit outside bc it was actually warmer than inside on a chilly night. They must have had the a/c on inside. The waiter (Juan or Jose?) was friendly, but for some reason it took a long time before they took our order and delivered our food. I would have added another star if it were not for the slow service. We usually get take out but decided to eat in. I always get the fish plate which is delicious with lots of veggies. I just wish they could offer a brown rice alternative.

I miss the old locations Mark owned in Fountain Valley and HB Beach Blvd so it nice to drive down to Irvine and have the same quality I grew used to all these years. What I missed the most was the Carnitas and they did not disappoint! Wonderful, tender and flavorful!

Stopped by since the ramen place next door had a half hour wait. Sat in the nice outdoor space on a Thursday night. We ordered:- Al pastor enchilada and beef taco combo: taco was not that crispy and enchilada was just standard. Also served with rice and beans. Rice was dry.- Chicken burrito, which was huge!-Flauta, which were quickly devoured. Served with rice, beans, guacamole, and sour cream.- Tostada salad, with a delicious taco shell.Complementary "chips" were round corn tortillas that you could bite off or break apart into chip form. A nice different take on chips and salsa.Overall, just standard fare with nothing outstanding. 10 locations around SoCal, so a pretty successful chain by that measure -- the interior has Mexican charm, where you could be tricked into feeling like you stepped into Mexico. But too bad the food just misses the mark.

First time. Will not be returning. $80 lunch for 3 people, no problem. HOWEVER, one of the plastic grocery style carryout bags was overstuffed and badly packed with a 16 oz salsa, an 8 oz salsa, 6 bags of chips, and a large ALBONDIGAS SOUP. The soup is stored in a foam cup which is deformed due to the heat and covered with a plastic lid which is BROKEN. This mess of a package is then covered with plastic wrap.On the way back, most of the HOT liquid spilled out of the broken container. Thankfully they had the insight to double bag the soup so nothing leaked. HOWEVER, it was still extremely hot and uncomfortable to have burning liquid on my leg for 10 minutes. No lunch for me because my soup is FILLED WITH PLASTIC LID SHARDS. $16 soup in the trash. We live too far away to go get a replacement and complain so I'm lodging my complaint here. Just my opinion, but you owe me a free lunch (all $80 bucks worth) for the inconvenience, ruining what should have been a fun Sunday lunch, burning my leg and serving me plastic infested soup.NO THANK YOU SUPER MEX!!!!!NOT AGAIN. Bye Felicia!

Super Meh is more like it.Tap beer is warm and flat.Bottled beer is just warm.Chips are stale. If anyone is paying attention there, they would know about the above. How can you charge 2024 prices and serve stale chips and warm beer? Rice and beans were mediocre as were the tacos our table ordered. The Michilada was weak and (once again), served with warm flat beer. The Spanish word is "falla."
