Sunrise cafe is a cute breakfast spot in San Clemente. We ordered Pigs in a blanket, hash browns, and Spicy chorizo burrito. The burrito is big enough for two people and has a wet sauce on top. Hash browns were good just a tiny greasy. Can't go wrong with pigs in a blanket. See pictures for reference!

Very grumpy staff. The guy busing tables was stressed out. We asked to sit inside and he argued that we can only sit outside. He wouldn't let us wait. Kitchen was extremely slow. Waited 25 minutes for pancakes and eggs. No smiles from anyone here. Must be a miserable place to work.Food is mediocre. No way I'd ever come back.

I would have loved to give these guys 5 stars, but the food is just not good. We got the chorizo eggs and the machaca eggs. It reminded me of your cafeteria from grade school. You have to eat the food and don't have a choice in the matter. It's too bad they are subpar since they seem to have a local following. Maybe it was a replacement cook? But it was NOT GOOD. I had hoped the eggs would be fresh, the salsa interesting, the chorizo full of spices but it was just bland and one note , I'll have to go back another time. Bon appetit
