Ice cream was creamy, it had a good texture, but there was nothing special about the flavors. Tastes like any $1 scoop cheap ice cream you can get from anywhere. Really wasn't good. The sugar cone even tasted old. Maybe it's hyped up because the area is so touristy? But if you are an ice cream fan, this is not the place for you. The inside was also pretty janky, which I can look past if the ice cream is good, but it's not, so the whole experience was pretty off putting.

The organic lemon zest at Summerland Artisanal Creamery was delicious. It tasted light and more sherbert-y. The storefront itself was not fancy unlike the name's suggestion. It is an older looking ice cream shop compared to its counterparts that line the marina side of Balboa Peninsula. My man and I visited on a Sunday night in February and it wasn't busy at all. No one was inside so we didn't have to wait to order. Service was meh, but my transaction was quick and we took our ice cream to go so I wasn't too bothered. *Be prepared to pay cash. When I visited, there was a sign on the register that said they require a minimum spend of $10 for credit card transactions.Parking: metered street parking and a paid lot across the street.

Took my girl here for ice cream last night, and it was a delicious dessert after a good dinner. They have multiple flavors of Amy ice cream you like. Think she got Cookies n Cream, and I got a Sherbert Ice cream. The service was good. My first real time here. We enjoyed it. I will be back.

Absolutely love this place!! Best ice cream on the peninsula. I love that it is all homemade fresh by the owner himself! And most of the flavors are organic! And they have vegan options, although I haven't tried those. But I like that they offer a variety for everyone. It is yummy and so delicious! There are no artificial ingredients or colors which I love for my kids.
