I come here once a month to enjoy the beef brisket sandwich and ask for more protein and they usually charge more which is fine but this time the same oh was so wet on the bottom I couldn't pick it up and it didn't have more beef but to only find it full of fatty pieces.... It was so disgusting. They must have changed the supplier for meat and will never come back... will also warn everyone I know around the medical offices that come here to avoid a complete disappointment of a $20 lunch.

Food: 3/5Service and Setting: 1.5/5Value: 3/5Sometimes there are cravings that only one specific restaurant can scratch. For me this weekend, that was Stone Oven. Stone Oven in Fashion Island is the soul of the mall. To me, they are synonymous. The foodcourt space they occupy is large and the overall cooking space seems clean. The dude helping us was honestly a jerk, more like a word that starts with "d" and rhymes with swoosh. He didn't seem to want to listen to my order and even put it in wrong. The food came out pretty fast I think, but they don't have a good system to notify you if your order is ready, so they just yell when it's time to pick up your food. Make sure to sit close by and have a good view of the restaurant. Garlic and Basil Chicken Sandwich: 3/5I always get this sandwich and regret it. The garlic and basil mayo (basically pesto, they just trying to be fancy, but isn't saying pesto fancier?) is bomb and super delicious. I would make sure to ask for extra on the side next time. The bread is also super good and baked to order. It is the perfect texture between crispy and chewy. Toppings are all super fresh and went well with everything else. The chicken though. When I hear jokes about white people cooking dry unseasoned chicken, Stone Oven manifests and creates it. Dry, tough, bland, the chicken alone dropped this sandwich into the 3/5 territory. Overall, this sandwich is good without the chicken, but because the bread is flat and hot, be prepared for all your toppings to fall out. Pesto Pasta Salad: 4/5Objectively, this pasta salad is bad. Soggy noodles, bland, watery and totally soaked dressing, and no other additions will make any Italian nonna cry and have a funeral for the poor farfalle noodles that met this fate. BUT, this was the craving. Something about the blandness, the sogginess, the coldness, resonates deeply in my gut and it is unexplainably soothing. The first time you eat this you might be mad because it is bland, but as you keep going it grows on you like that one cousin you never talk to at the family gatherings. Potato Salad: 3.5/5This potato salad straight-up tastes like those tubs you buy from the super market except with more potato. Sweet, tangy, and not overly dressed, I love this potato salad but cannot objectively give it any more points. If you like the taste of traditional potato salad this will be for you.

My favorite place to go for salads.Friendly, fast, and great for Togo.Parking is little tricky on weekends. So, I usually make it Togo and park at 15 min parking.

This is probably my favorite "mall" food stall ever. I would even eat here if I wasn't shopping, a lot of times I drive specifically to the mall just to get stone oven sometimes! I get their pesto chicken sandwich with a side Caesar salad. SO GOOD, highly recommend.

Delicious focaccia bread sandwiches served with a standard salad (or whatever side you choose)- not a gourmet sandwich, but it hit the spot for me.-1 star because the sandwich meat could have been a little better, but I've had plenty worse at other establishments. Would eat here again.

Very delish sandwich! Reasonable prices ( except the bread- a little bit pricey just for a bread). I'm a Stone Oven fan since I was in college in Northridge abt 15 years ago. Now I live in OC and Fashion Island is the closest place. I wished we could have one in Irvine or Hungtington beach.

If you love sandwiches, don't bother going anywhere else this place hits the spotFreshly baked bread, their salads amazing. Their ingredients are so tasty. I only wish places closer, I would frequent it more often

My meal was ready at least 10 minutes before my son's, who ordered somewhere else. Couldn't make up my mind but I settled for the Asian chicken salad. Was surprised that there was bread on top when I picked it up. Wow! The bread was delicious! Gave some to my son and he agreed he should have ordered there too. The salad everything in it and the dressing were very good. That was Tuesday and here it is Friday and I'm still thinking about it. I hope I picked the right one? It was Fashion IslandCall me crazy but I love the simple things in life.
