Smashburger

My review is only on fountain drinks and a large Fry - For two reg drinks and one large Fry the price was $10.50 which is average now days . Our drinks were served by our server as we did not get to get our own which is fine due to Covid and I'm sure they can't watch patrons inside the food court .They offer free refill on your drinks as well. We did want a Diet Dr Pepper but they only had Diet Coke or Coke - Also the Lg Fry came in the cup which was nice as we were sharing the fries and they were to go but once we started eating them inside the dining room and they were hot and tasty we had to eat them all right there . The cashier was nice . These days when 2025 when paying for a coke and a fry I don't feel the need to give a tip as it ask for almost 99% of the time . Most of the time it ask for 10% on up . It did offer no tip which I did choose this time . I always tip even if I buy a burger etc. Thank you Smash Burger for being open in the mall , can't wait to try your burgers and I will tip my normal 15-18%.

This review is limited to the Smash Tots. Now, I thought they were pretty good tasting but the size is so small. Not enough to share and barely enough to enjoy with alone.

My husband likes to get their burger every time we're at the mall.He said it's good but I never tasted it so I do not know.I recently tried their cobb salad for the first time. It comes with mixed greens, blue cheese and a fried egg. You can add any protein for an extra $2.50. So I added the chicken breast, which I really didn't care much for it.The salad and their balsamic dressing was good.Hubby ate the burger too quickly (he was hungry, ha ha), I didn't get a chance to take the picture. Huge fan of truffle anything so when I saw they had a burger with truffle AND mushrooms, I was immediately on board. Located inside the mall food court (upper level next to Blaze Pizza), parking is difficult because everyone wants to park in that area. Your best bet is to park in the parking structure and walk through the mall. Once I got past the parking debacle, I was able to focus on the food at hand. - Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger | Thick, savory meat patty with sautéed crimini mushrooms. Messy, but it tastes great in all its potent truffle pungency. I added tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles (free) to help balance the burger. I recommend trying it out.- SmashFries | Crispy, herby fries (rosemary, garlic, and olive oil are mixed in). - Onion Rings | Thin, shoestring onions; lightly battered and slightly sweet. I'd come back for another meal filled with truffle and rosemary; it was delicious!

My husband has sorely missed Smashburger after the one in Aliso Viejo closed. Since we were passing by while picking up something at the Shops at Mission Viejo, we decided to share a Smashburger just for old times sake. I ordered at the counter and waited for it to be ready. Service was friendly and the burger was pretty good. The cheese was melted perfectly and the burger had fresh veggies. We normally don't eat a lot of fast food but once in a while, it's a nice treat. This location is clean with the food court but we don't go to the mall too often these days. You can utilize the app if you're in a hurry and they offer happy hour priced shakes on Fridays from 2 - 5 pm.

I was at The Shops at Mission Viejo to pick up a Mac at the Apple Store. I had to wait an hour, so as I was cruising around the mall the hunger pangs for lunch kicked in. After circling the food court a couple of times I stopped at Smashburger for the Crispy Chicken Sandwich that I have not had before. Once decided I stood in line to order and the line moved quickly. The sandwich and a Diet Coke were all I ordered as I was not in the mood for fries. (I know, right? Who's not in the mood for fries?)The cashier was helpful as I wanted to break a $50 that has been in my wallet forever since no one likes to take anything larger than a $20 it seems. They had no problem doing it but the manager had to quickly step in. With my Diet Coke and the "order ready" buzzer in hand, I went and found a table. As I saw people that came after me getting their orders I was about to go to the counter to ask where my sandwich was when the buzzer went off. It was 15 mins which seems like a long time for fast food. Went back to my table and opened the wrapper to reveal the sandwich. I did not realize Smashburger also meant smash bun! But that was the case. Beyond the smashed bun it didn't look bad. Not perfect, but not bad. Biting into it surprised me a bit since it was incredibly hot. Yikes. Had to chew and try breathing in at the same time. You know the drill. While I was glad it was hot I did let the chicken cool off a bit before trying again. Continuing to eat, I quickly realized why it took so long to get my sandwich. They wanted to make sure the chicken was equally dried out all the way through. The outside looked nicely browned so not sure how they dried out the chicken so much. Ate 1/2 and threw it away. I didn't feel like going back and discussing the situation with them, so I just left. My bad for not checking Yelp before I stopped there. On the bright side, the the Diet Coke was great. Go Somewhere Else. Eat Something Different. HAVE FUN!

Are you in The Shops in Mission Viejo? Are you bored? Are you bored hungry? Do you not care about your waist? Then check out Smashburger in the food court.It takes them a bit of time to make the food, but you get it within 15 min. The food is on the oily side. But walk around the mall for a few hours and you're set. The far is kinda burned off. But the chicken sandwich was good. Like i'd go back and eat 2 sandwiches and subject myself to walking around the mall good. Skip the fries. They were meh. But I lived the chicken sandwich with onions and tomatoes. No unnecessary sauces. Just a great chicken sandwich got out of the kitchen.Try it out!

Don't understand the bad reviews as this place is affordable and reliable and it is a place where you can get value for your hard earned money and I'm thankful for this. Also next to a pizza place that I've reviewed as well but lost all of my old reviews but will work hard to get a bunch up go help.eveyone

Pretty disappointed. I was absolutely craving a smashed burger so I figured who better to order from than Smashburger?! The fries and tots were actually very good. The problem was the burger. As you can see from the photo, you can't even see the burger it's so thin and the bun is so big. Also, the mushrooms are only on one side of the burger. It just wasn't very satisfying BUT the flavor was decent. Not sure if I'd order from here again or not. Today, I was disappointed.

This place is way overpriced, never again! 2 burgers, 2 cokes and 1 fry should not be $31.77If you have read my reviews over the past 3 years (i.e.COVID times), I have been very generous in my praise of local eateries, mom and pops, etc.. during tough times, as they were delivering good food and service and I wanted to support them. Well COVID is over and restaurants are still gouging us with their high prices due to "high Inflation". Poppycock! Prices at restaurants are never going down until the consumer decide to not go to these places. Going forward, D-Ron will unleash the Kracken on restaurants that are gouging prices, in my opinion.Good luck overpriced establishments.
