Shirley's Bagels

A kind colleague brought us a variety of bagels.I'll do my best to describe them.PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL:-- very slight touch of sweet-- not my usual pick but this bread is good for you like squaw bread-- got better with the airy whipped plain cream cheese-- nice quality bagel with good textureRATING = A-CHOCOLATE CHIP BAGEL with PLAIN WHIPPED CREAM:-- light clear sweetness via semi-sweet chocolate chips-- could use some more choc chips-- good texture and tasteRATING = APLAIN BAGEL with STRAWBERRY WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE:-- similar texture and quality-- this cream cheese is legit-- not too sweetRATING = AMy wife is a bagel fan so I will have to see if we can drop by.

Was in Newport Beach & craving some bagels & luckily found Shirley's Bagels!We ordered two Californian bagels - 1 with bacon & 1 with sausage ($8.50)The bagel was soooooo big. It was lowkey a little hard to eat, but definitely worth it. The eggs were super big and fluffy & the red onions added a nice flavor to the bagel. The only thing I think was missing was some hot sauce. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

I prefer the Costa Mesa location on 17th Street to this Shirley's Bagel location here in Newport because I like to get the Salmon Lox sandwich and sometimes (like today) the salmon lox is very fishy and tastes stale :-(The bagels and cream cheese are always good at this location I just wish the quality and freshness of their salmon lox was better.

I've been wanting to try this place after I found out it supplied bagels to a coffee shop I frequented. There was a large selection of bagels to choose from. I got the santa fe breakfast bagel on a cheddar jalapeño bagel with a side of chive cream cheese. The bagel was super yummy, especially with the aioli. This place got super busy after we ordered and we noticed that people who ordered after us got their orders before us. After talking to the counter, we realized they entered our order as a phone order which got placed on the shelf. We wished our bagels were hot.

The bagels were good here and the cream cheese was nice and smooth. The eggs actually tasted like actual eggs, not like the watered down eggs you get from most bagel places. Ordered in person around 9:40, a wave of people (8-10 people) came in after and ordered and left before us. Turns out they accidentally put it under a phone order so our bagels were just sitting on their behind the counter shelf for about 10 minutes. We ended up getting our order after 20 minutes of ordering. The bagel sandwiches were delicious but would probably be more fresh if we had gotten it right away!

Love the bagels from here. My fave is the jalapeño and cheese bagel with their fiesta cream cheese. The bagels are fresh and super fluffy.

It was my first time visiting Shirley's Bagels and it was great! We arrived around 7:45 AM and there was already a line. I knew it was a popular spot. Food was fresh. Service was quick. The only thing keep in mind is tables are very limited. It's feels more of a to go place but if you happen to grab one of the tables, you'll have a good time!

Can't beat the quality or the price they are always fresh the workers do there best to be fast but you can't rush good food love them employees of the year in my book

This place is great! They take care of business quickly and efficiently and their food is always delicious.

If you're on the hunt for delicious bagels, look no further! The bagels are fresh and flavorful. They have your typical bagel variety - cinnamon sugar, everything, blueberry, etc. The service is quick. What more could you want in a bagel shop? The inside is tiny so best suited for couples if you're planning to eat here.
