I've been here for years and I'm glad it's finally getting the recognition it deserves! My go-to is always either the Jalepeño Ham & Cheese Croissant, Blueberry Cake Donuts, or the Green Thai Tea. On a good day, I'll get all three! The prices here are very reasonable and worth it for the goodies. Best part is being open late enough for me to satisfy those late night cravings! If you want to skip the line, visit literally any other time except at night. It's worth it!

Overrated and not worth it if there's a wait. The drinks are super sweet and boba is very soft and breaks apart without any chewiness. The green thai tea tastes like play dough and bubble gum. The donuts are mid. Crossaint ham and cheese are okay but nothing special.

I've stopped by Seaside Donuts a few times during my bike rides along the beach. It's always buzzing with activity, and the lines can get pretty long, especially on weekends. Since it's open 24/7, it's a go-to for students looking to satisfy their late-night cravings. They have a wide selection of doughnuts and baked goods. I've tried the cronut, buttermilk bar, old-fashioned, and donut holes. One side of the display case is filled with doughnuts, while the other features savory items like ham and cheese croissants. The place is convenient and always busy, but the doughnuts aren't anything to write home about. The ham and cheese croissant didn't taste particularly fresh, and the croissant dough felt more like a donut (ie. less flaky). It's definitely a spot that caters more to late-night munchies. I also tried a smoothie, and it was too icy for my taste. Don't get swayed by the long lines, it's all out of convenience!

Happened to go by this place while walking near the pier and am so glad I stopped in. Staff is friendly and donuts are delicious. While I'm partial to an old fashioned, the cronut was 10/10 as well. They also had savory food options and some drink choices as well. The place itself is pretty small so you'll have to eat your food outside with a beach view (I know, how hard is life ). It's not enough to warrant a special trip, but I'd definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

Visited the old stomping grounds and made our way to Seaside Bakery. I must say I was hesitant because it went viral on Tiktok and the lines are so crazy now but thank goodness the line moved quick. I'm proud of their business growing but it does make me sad that the wait time increased lol. Never in my previous visits to Seaside had the line wrapped around the way it did. Yes students were done with finals but still, the way the line wrapped around was wild. My all time favorites are the matcha Thai iced tea, the matcha Thai donut, their jalapeño ham& cheese croissant, and their donut holes. Everything they make is super delicious but I always just stick to my usual because they're just so good. For the prices and being open 24 hours, you can't go wrong. Shoutout to Seaside for all my college memories + post grad! I'm not sure when the next time I'll be back but I'll definitely look forward to it.

Stopped by after the Newport Boat Parade! 24/7, small & convenient donut shop right by the Newport Pier. Frankly, it is your typical donut shop, no signature nor specialty menu items. There's donuts, pastries, croissants, coffee, smoothies, and even cup noodles.Surprisingly no long wait on a Wednesday at 7:30 PM, smooth... sailing line.Bags advertised Fresh Daily, but the donut holes were dry, lacked freshness, and did not make my experience... whole. For the croissant, the turkey and cheese are baked inside, not those kinds of flakey croissants that are sliced in half. Can request microwaved for warmth. To me, the hype is location for the beachside vibe. Imagine nice and warm croissant, or steaming cup noodles for a late night bite after some drinks nearby, while listening to the waves crash. It's cozy, nostalgic for some, but not much WOW about the food. Right next to parking lot, parking free after 6 PM.

SEASIDEEEE. This place made the rounds online as the ABB/ABG hotspot. Lemme tell you that the vibe is way different in the daytime when we went since it's empty and the amount of pastries and donuts were plentiful. Parking costs money until 6pm so that further makes the place less busy, but there are people still going here as a stop along the beach as it is conveniently located seaside, as the name suggests. We got the ham and cheese croissant with jalapeño for a bit of a spicy kick as well as the green Thai tea large, the common staple I see online. We also got a strawberry strudel and maple cronut. The hype is real for the ham and cheese croissant as it is buttery though soft but warm. It just hits the spot for a nice snack or light meal. The green Thai tea, although premade, is really fragrant and complements really well with what we got. The strawberry strudel was okay, with a somewhat flaky texture. The maple cronut is on the sweeter side, and despite it being a cronut aka croissant donut, I didn't really taste much butter nor was the donut very flaky like a baked croissant. While the sweets were not the best, I can't complain much as the prices are super cheap compared to nearby places or even within the greater SoCal area. $2.50 donuts and $4.25 croissants the size worth a light yet satisfying meal - you can't really beat that. P.S. pay with cash to avoid a 4% credit card surcharge!

I kept hearing about Seaside but I didn't know what it was since I'm not Cali Asian but I had to make a stop when you're in Newport to see what the hype is. Honestly, just hype but happy to support an AAPI owned business. Prices were decent. If you go like 4pm, there's not line. It's open 24/7 but the lines are probably hours at midnight. But we are in our 30s now, can't play like that anymore.I had to order the green Thai tea and honestly, I can't tell the difference between this and regular Thai tea other than the color. The green Thai tea donut was better - I could taste some elements of green tea. The best was probably the ham cheese jalapeño croissant. That was delicious with the jalapeños cooked in between the melted cheese. Donuts were just okay. Nothing stood out so get the croissant sandwich instead. The shop is small. No places to sit. It's meant for pickup and eat walking around the beach. Service was quick if customers know what they want.

Hits the spot. Very good and fresh dough. I highly recommend eating it immediately though. All their donuts are good.
