Christmas Day with the family is rare because I'm usually working. This year I was blessed to be able to join them for an annual Christmas Day restaurant lunch. Upon it entering it was busy that's when you know that the restaurant has good food. My aunt & cousins with their families in tow were already eating so I am not sure what the wait time was. The table set up was clean. The place smelled great like delicious garlic that was not overwhelming. The food was absolutely amazing as it tasted as good as it looked. Every dish had just the right amount of sweet, salt & mouth feel. Portions were decent as well. The only thing that was not appetizing was the manner some of the servers threw it on the table. *POOF* then no where to be seen. We asked for sugar for the tea & one of the servers looked upset. Then they tossed it on the table as well. Then when it was time to bring the check The server repeatedly came to check on it. As it is trying to share a bill with several people is hard because you have to gather it together. The server kept waving the bill in front of everybody at the table and kept on trying to push it at somebody to pay it. I realize that it's busy and they want to get some of the tables out but totally unnecessary to be so aggressive.

OG Chinese restaurant in Westminster. They have a big parking lot and there's no wait to be seated. We food was solid but I've tasted better at other places. The sizzling shaken beef was a little tough and the anchovy fried rice was ok. The house special fish fillet was better than we anticipated.

Seafood Cove 2 was always so crowded and on week end, the wait can be up to 1 hour so I thought we should try Seafood Cove1. I used to live in Garden Grove and at that time there was no SC2 we used to go here all the time, the only other choice was Seafood Paradise across the street. We were excited to see the price of lobster advertised right at the entrance $32.99 a lb, we were seated right away. I have to give them credit for their honesty, they brought the lobster out for us to look, it was definitely 2.5 lbs. 1) The lobster seemed to be an old lobster, the shell was so so thick, it did not taste juicy or delicious like what I had in Maine, the brown sauce thrown on top was tasteless w just a hint of butter, the flambé taste was missing and THERE WAS NO GARLIC! Just hot jalapenos. I was so disappointed. 2.5 stars. The lobster at Capital seafood was delicious but a rip off price $38.99, the dinner could cost close to $200 w tips, tax, soup, it was insane. 2) Hot and sour soup was good 3.5 stars 3) Beef chow mein, same brown sauce, so tasteless, I asked for Sriracha sauce, they brought out the Sriracha made in China, not the rooster Huy Fong made in USA by the VN dude, the sauce tasted like a fermented paste and I hate all fermented stuff in Korean, VN or Chinese cuisine so I had to ditch it, what a waste. 1 star. 4) What was 4 stars were free hot tea, they had the door open, it was drafty and cold so hot tea and after dinner real mung bean dessert were appreciated. Today I called and asked if they had sweet and sour fish, they said no only hot and sour w fish sauce, Yelp review said they had it, also on the menu, hot w nuoc mam is not my kind of fish, they used to have the sweet and sour fish, they don't have fried chicken either, no longer available as it's a hassle, most restaurants all stopped having this, the chicken was usually marinated and it was so delicious. Unfortunately Furiwa, Royal Capital and Seafood World all went under, if you want good Chinese food, you'd have to go to Los Angeles/New York Chinatown or Hong Kong, it's not good in Beijing or Singapore either. Sorry but I'm not going back.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family or could be that we're regulars haha. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which is one of the many reasons we keep coming back.We love coming here for special occasions or just when we're craving their delicious house special lobster--it's hands down the best! The flavors are unmatched, and you can tell they put a lot of care into every dish even though it comes out so quickly! For us, it's all about the food and the customer service--nothing else matters. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is top-notch, and the food is consistently delicious. If you're looking for a place with heart, amazing food, and warm hospitality, this is it! Highly recommend!

I don't know but the food was kind of bland. I expected more. The fried tofu was good. They ran out of crab. Veggies were ok but the pea shoots were not as expected. Walnut shrimp felt off with a weird off yellow sauce that didn't really taste right. The service was as expected for a Chinese restaurant- not rude not overly great but enough to get you situated and served with an abundance of family style food. Thai clams were ok but sauce was kinda viscous. The fried egg noodles were already soggy by the time they got to our table. We tried an Americanized orange chicken for good times sake and it was iight but not Panda. Very loud. Likely would suggest their other location near Little Saigon at least the place isn't as cramped

I don't live in SoCal anymore and yet I try to go here whenever I visit. I'm sure I've already written a review for this place. I went here with a friend for their lunch hour and we barely bothered to read the menu. Our individual families have been coming here for decades, and we know what we like. We ordered the kung pao chicken and salt & pepper spare ribs. Tried and true orders. We didn't even bother with a vegetable dish. Both delicious, if not a little salty- but eaten with plain white rice and it's fine. The waiter never brought us water or tea so we had to ask. We got a nice bowl of dessert pudding. This place is no frills. Someday I'd like to explore other menu items, but for now these two dishes are the only thing I crave.

I had to redeem myself at seafood cove. Took the fam here and man the meal was worth every penny. Lunch specials are $15 dollars a plate . The portion size is enough to share. I will gladly comeback next time. I highly recommend this restaurant. I didn't take enough pictures but check out the clam plate, there's more than 8 pieces forsure ! Service is A+. As of today 1/26/25 lobster is $34.99 a pound .

This review is specifically for the original seafood cove located on Newland and Westminster. This is hands down, my all time favorite hole-in-the-wall authentic Chinese/cantonese spot that my family has been frequenting for decades. Their customer service is quick, no-nonsense, and not overly friendly which is how you know the food is good because they don't need to overcompensate. Here are my go to items to order:-House Special Chicken: Crispy, buttery, with a strong umami flavor. My favorite dish here since I can't find any other Chinese restaurant out there that can top their recipe-Fried Tofu-Basil clams-House Special Fried Rice-Shaken beef-Honey Walnut Shrimp -Salt and Pepper Pork Chop (Squid, fish filet, or any other protein is good)-Garlic Pea Sprouts-Fried Fish-Fried Egg Noodle (Mi Xao Don)-House special lobster with noodles

Been going here since the 90s for good, consistent, family-style, Chinese food. A delicious hot & sour soup to start, buttery house special chicken/tofu/pork chop/ fish dishes, and the best sweet tapioca mừng bean dessert to finish. I remember when lunch special prices were about less than ten bucks, now it's average about $15/plate (dinner dishes $22+).Iconic decor inside with golden dragons on walls, pleather chair seats, and well worn red carpet. Casual and friendly service. Some items ordered: salt & pepper fish and pork chop, house special everything!!, stir fry "cái làn" (Chinese broccoli) w/garlic, clams with mint, Vietnamese "cảnh chùa", and stir fry noodles
