Ruby's Sandwich Saloon

Sandwiches Huge & deliciously fresh!Everyone was super friendly even the customers. Service was quick even in the lunch rush(which there is). Food tasted wonderful and was super fresh. Small eatery but they have plenty of seating. You will not regret coming here we also got a huge pickle with both the potato salad and macaroni salad, but we were so hungry I forgot to take a picture. Really good though.

Ruby's was a great find! Wanted a fresh and tasty sandwich and found exactly that at Ruby's. A busy spot that is frequented by many locals that seem to know the young ladies working behind the counter. Service was friendly and fast. The sandwiches were made to order with fresh ingredients. The chicken noodle soup was hot with noodles that seemed to be homemade. The dining area at Ruby's is small and clean with tables and a bar area to sit. Over all, a nice lunch at a spot I would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

I've been told that Rubys Sandwich Saloon is a popular location for the locals and students of Newport Harbor High School to come visit. I've been here many times but this is my first review. It's a shop that specializes in sandwiches. When you walk in, grab one of the paper slips to fill out and customize your order. Turn that slip up to the front and they will prep your sandwich while you pay. There's a cute chip corner if you want to add a bag of chips. I'm a classic tuna on wheat kinda gal, so that's what I always get. The squaw bread however is nothing like I've ever tasted and my boyfriend likes to get that for his sandwiches. Small dining area, but most people take these sandwiches to go.

Small sandwich shop. I have never had a bad sandwich ever at this place. The quality is amazing always fresh. The employees are all very nice. The turkey on squaw bread is a must and the macaroni salad is so good. The prices here are one of the best around town for a sandwich.

One of the best in the Oc! Great food. The french roll is my fave, fill out the paper order form on the counter when you go in and enjoy.

Step back in time to Ruby's! There's nothing like a delicious, classic sandwich. It's a great deal when you consider avocado or sprouts as part of the veggie options you can pick without an additional charge. We ordered four sandwiches 2 turkey, 1 tuna, and 1 turkey/ham...there were no complaints from my group of picky eaters. The online ordering was hella easy and ready on time. The customer service was a delight when I arrived.

I always go for the Hot Barbecue Sandwich roast, or the Tuna one. Ruby's is a great Sandwich place in Orange County only. They have huge portions of sandwiches as well, so bring a big appetite with you. Sandwiches are delcious. They come with drinks and all. Nice staff, and cool place to eat, Always feel good eating here.

Lived here 15+ years and never knew about this place. It's hidden and unassuming but a treasure. It's like stepping back into time. The food is well priced, fresh and small town friendly customer service. I had a whole egg salad sandwich and my husband had a hot pastrami. Very tasty and soft breads. It was peak lunch rush and I still got my food pretty quickly. Would totally recommend to anyone who wants a quick, cheap Sando! Thanks for the recommendation Yelp!

This is a small town feel sandwich shop that's been around forever. Melinda and her staff are so kind and personal and the sandwiches that I've had there were so good and fresh.This is my go to place for sandwiches.
