Royal Donuts And Burgers

In a quaint little place in a strip mall, lies a thing of dreams. Doughnuts! Amazing doughnuts! I live in Virginia. There are no doughnut shops in Virginia that are anything like the California doughnut shops. There is no comparison. When I am in California, I make sure to get doughnuts. The doughnuts at Royal Donuts and Burgers are simply amazing. All of them are good. I can't pick one over another. We haven't tried the burgers, yet. I hope I will on my next visit. The service is wonderful! We had help with anything we needed on every visit! Take a moment to try this place. It is worth the drive.

They need to pay their employees more or spend some time training them. First stop into Royal Donuts based on Yelp reviews and last visit based on service. Hispanic lady meets me at the counter and I asked her what their most popular donuts were. She just looks at me and then asks some little kid. The kid looks like he's 10. Neither answer so I just ordered. Not one smile from any of them. Donuts were fine.

Oppsies on the pic responsibility. Wanted to give this place a try because I love me a small business. Burgers were, I thought, pretty reasonably priced but honestly not sure how they can call their quarter pounder a quarter pounder. The patty was razor thin and dry. Thinner than In n Out. This means the price actually is in the higher end. Got a pic of the pretty pink sprinkle donut though which is a tiny bit better than average. The search continues for a South County donut shop that rivals Torrance Bakery.

Sweet and simple donut shop with great donuts and also burgers ! I wanted a chargrilled type of burger and saw the reviews and went for a try. Burger was great, meal comes with thick cut fries and you also get a donut of your choice with the meal. Lady who works there is super sweet. If you love a good tiger tail this is your spot. Also their Apple fritters are huge and delicious too.I also got the piña colada smoothie. It was way too sweet and just tasted like coconut sweetener? Next time I'll just get a plain fruit one. If you're in the area worth a stop by for a donut or a burger or both!

Love this place! All the food is delicious and the service is great. The donuts are delicious and the royal combo is the perfect lunch for any donut enthusiast (or pregnant lady)

I give Royal Donuts 4 stars for the people that work here. I like that they have local kids helping out on weekends and that they offer a lunch menu as well but something has changed with the dough they're using in their donuts, what used to be light & fluffy is now heavy & dense. A Twist or a maple bar should be light, not tough. I dont get it? Different cooks? Different suppliers? I dunno but today was the 3rd time it happened. Cake donuts are great though. If only they had crullers...

One of my favorite local treats to stop at! Not only do I think they have the fluffiest donuts but they make a great burger! Gotta shoutout the one great lady behind the counter serving fast with many people ready to put in their order! She's quick to helping and getting what you need! Not only that but she gives you some extra donut bites if it was a wait or if she knows you! She's amazing and I can't wait for more! Enjoy!

Over the last 35 plus years, I've lived in all of the surroundings cities here in south orange county, and Royal Donuts hands down has the best: pricing, tasty and good size donuts around in South Orange County. I currently live in San Clemente, and nothing here locally compares to Royal Donuts, and so it's well worth my time to travel to Mission Viejo; where I lived prior to moving here. I highly recommend giving them a try!!

This is my go to donut shop when I'm in the area. I was so disappointed today. Their iced coffee was darker than usual so I asked for extra cream and it was good to go. The donut was as expected but the h, cheese egg croissant was terrible. The croissant was so dry it was inedible, it was clearly an old croissant that might have been microwaved more than once!
