Rooster Tea - Costa Mesa

I just love this place. Cookies and cream slush is the best I've had here. Boba is always fresh and delicious! Staff is so friendly- just overall the best experience here every time. Totally recommend!

Went on a Sunday evening around 5 and it wasn't busy! Worker was pretty helpful and drinks came out quick!I got the mango hibiscus tea with honey boba. I like that they have this flavor because I've never seen it anywhere else! It was a good even mix of fresh mango flavor/juice and hibiscus tea. The hibiscus part was a little too sweet so I'd get lower sweetness if that was an option next time. The honey boba was pretty fresh and chewy. I tried a sip of their peach tea too and I liked it because the tea flavor balanced out the sweetness better. Would come back and get the same or try something different!

I was craving for a brown sugar boba milk drink and found Rooster Tea on Yelp while in the area. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon - it was pretty empty inside with only one person ahead in line. Drinks were quickly delivered upon ordering (~3 minutes). 17 oz Tiger Sweet Milk Boba ($5.45): I asked to adjust sweetness level and was told they could include less brown sugar around the perimeter of the drink. The drink ended up still being incredibly sweet and some of the boba was tender while others had a bit of a hard center. Very disappointing. 17 oz Taro Slush ($5.15): All powder only with no fresh taro, drink was very watered down with just a hint of taro flavor. Overall, not a tea shop I would visit again as the ingredients did not seem as fresh as other boba shops.

One of my favorite boba spots in the area!!The owner is always nice and I love supporting local businesses. The drinks are delicious and pretty good quality in the milk and toppings, at least as far as flavor goes.The biggest con is the parking - this lot is often a nightmare to get in and out of, particularly at rush times. Finding a spot on my last visit took over 5 minutes of circling the lot in chaos.The staffing may need to be upped. The girl at the counter was upfront and let me know that it would be a bit of a wait on a week night at about 5:30pm. About 5 other in-person orders were made ahead of mine, as well as what I assume where onlines. But I ended up waiting 15+ minutes for a single drink (I agreed to wait, I'll admit). Not my finest visit here, but I've had good experiences in the past.

I happened to be in the area today and decided to try out this location. I ordered the mango hibiscus drink and was really impressed. It tasted fresh, fruity, and refreshing, with small chunks of mango that added a nice touch. The boba was perfectly chewy, just the way I like it! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the shop was cozy and welcoming.They also have the lunar new year decorations up which make the shop even more festive.

Great service, super friendly staff! The drink was pretty good too, would definitely stop by and try something else if I'm in the area!I had to stop by for my "30 before 30" challenge to go to 30 animal themed tea/boba places before i turn 30, because look at that rooster!

Sub par fruit tea, other places have way better menu selection and options. Here, you can basically just "build your own" with limited flavors and no fruit pieces added to the tea. I got a small instead of the large that was paid for and adjusted the sweetness level way up without asking so the drink was also really sweet.

Dropped by with some friends & our kids all ordered their slushy boba. :) Lots of flavors to choose from with very friendly service!

Stopped by for a boba fix, and saw they had pretty good reviews! Their drinks are very fair priced, their toppings were good and fresh, and their teas and slushies were delightful. I got the lychee green tea which was super delicious and light. My kids go the mango and strawberry slush and couldn't stop raving about it. There do offer seating but it is limited. Service was quick and friendly.

Whenever I step into this store, it always reminds me of the beach! I love how chewy their boba is here and the drinks are always consistently made. I love their exclusive flavors too, back when they had blueberry matcha!! The mango matcha is always my go to. The matcha isn't the best, but it's pretty good as a tea drink and the fruits taste fresh! The drinks were made quickly and the servers were friendly. I love how this place has outlets near the seats and lovely decor!
