This place is one of the best sushi places in OC. I love that they haven't changed their menu in years and that they still have my favorite items on the menu. My personal favorite is the truffle salmon carpaccio, yellowtail jalapeno, rainbow roll, shitake salad (which you cant find anywhere and is out of this world) and the lobster roll.I wish they would add few other fresh rolls (non tempura or baked) without spicy tuna or crab to their menu. The shitake salad is a must have and they have good house sake and miso soup as well.Note: images are from various visits

We ended up here after leaving another restaurant with uncomfortably small tables for couples, only to find the same issue here. Honestly, we consumers should collectively boycott these cramped seating arrangements.Fortunately, when I asked the host for a different table, they were accommodating, which I appreciated. The sushi was good, and the service was solid, but the prices were way too high for what you get.

We usually love coming here, but the hostess tonight (Jan 3 at 6:00pm) was not paying attention to the waitlist and we ended up having to wait way longer than parties that came in after us. Our quoted time of 25 min was closer to an hour.Great food though, but management really should work on training the staff better. The hostess' attitude was also unacceptable which made it even worse. Instead of being empathetic to the mixup and helping us understand how much longer we might need to wait, she popped an attitude and told us that small parties of 2 weren't a priority and they prioritize larger groups.

Vibes and service were great..But not the place for quality sushi.Fish is mid and not good quality honestly...Maybe cause we went later at night??But its what you would expect to find at a sushi place in a mall!

Food was great, we had the sashimi and volcano roll, house salad and miso soup. Salad was a large portion, all of the food we had was delicious. Would recommend! Server was attentive, Eva did a great job!

My boyfriend and I visited this sushi restaurant for the first time, and it was delicious! We'd been looking for a new sushi spot and, despite initial hesitation, were impressed by our friendly, attentive waiter.The ambience was pleasant, with background music at the perfect volume for conversation. I tried two drinks: a gin-based specialty cocktail that wasn't to my taste, and a margarita that was excellent.For appetizers, we shared the edamame, which was good but not exceptional--though I'd order it again. The jalapeño poppers, however, were disappointing and overpriced, with bland flavors that didn't justify the cost. The highlight was our shared spicy yellowtail roll, which delivered an immediate burst of delightful flavors.I would say this place is a great spot for casual dining. Just be prepared to spend!

Ryōshi Plate 10/10- honestly one of the best poke bowls I've ever tried! The presentation was absolutely stunning with all the ingredients arranged in these beautiful colorful stripes - it almost looked too pretty to eat. Everything in this bowl was incredibly fresh. The poke-style marinated sashimi literally melted in your mouth and had such amazing flavor, while also being incredibly fresh. The ikura was also so fresh and I loved how it added these perfect little bursts of saltiness throughout the bowl. The avocado was perfectly ripe and added this amazing creamy element, while the cucumber and seaweed salad gave such a satisfying crunch factor. I really appreciated how they added micro greens which made everything taste even fresher and added such a nice pop of color. All the components worked so incredibly well together and created the perfect balance of textures and flavors. The portion size was super generous - this bowl was actually so filling! Such a beautiful and delicious bowl that really exceeded my expectations and was plated perfectly. This is a seasonal special so I highly recommend trying it soon if you're in the mood for a poke bowl as it's exceptional. The service was also incredible.Instagram: @hungrytamale

I was expecting more from this restaurant. Very fancy looking, loved the vibes. Service was ok. Our server was nice and friendly. They have an ok selection on sushi but not a wide variety. The bento boxes were very pricey. My husband had the Udon Beef Ramen and he really loved it. The gioza was nice and crispy. I had the Angel Hair Specialty roll and it was good but was expecting more flavor/spiciness. Very pricey. Not sure if I'll come back here since I've tried better sushi places.

Well...Consistency is the standard for this elegant casual dining locale. The service was attentive, prompt, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Good value for a high-quality dining experience. I had the sashimi salad, which came in a beautiful presentation and the taste matched the look.This casual dining Irvine Spectrum establishment checks the boxes. Good stuff!

Robata Wasa is a fantastic spot! The patio was beautiful with the heaters and fire on! The crispy rice was delicious, while the rolls were beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. My favorites were the jalapeño bomb and seared ahi avocado crema. The quality of the food and the attention to detail made for a truly memorable meal. Highly recommend!
