I am from San Diego and I will say that we don't have many places like this so when I found this late night snack, it was more than a hidden gem. People in Irvine you don't know how good you have it with your Asian food and your late night open dinner places.Ricebunn is located in a food court with many other good eats, but what caught my attention was the various types of rice and protein that you could have. There was a reminiscent flavor of Japan that you could taste from the food. It was not as good as Japan, but I will say that it hit the spot for a late night snack. I couldn't believe the hours and you could see that they were open late. Glad I found this place and it is worth a visit if you are nearby.

For anyone looking for a late night bite, apparently it's open until 3am. Arrived a bit after 11pm. Ordered and paid via kiosk. It took a while for the food to come out since there was one staff member on site.Ordered onigiri trio (salmon, kbbq beef, chicken). Surprised they charged an extra $.50 for salmon and kbbq beef. A bit pricey for the portion and little filling inside--several bites felt like rice and furikake with barely any protein...but wanted to try it out since another spot nearby closed early. Overall, flavors were there. They charge for sauce but the onigiri was seasoned well enough that sauce isn't necessary. Felt like a snack more than a meal. Located in Trade food hall. If cold out, they have a few heat lamps available.

I came here after picking up some friends from the airport that is close by. This place is open 24/7 so we came kinda late at night. It was not very busy since it was so late. We ordered on the kiosk. I got mine to-go and took some home for my boyfriend. I ordered the Triple with KBBQ, Crab and Tuna Mayo. The rice balls were pretty big and topped with extra ingredients. It was pretty messy to eat. I ate the tuna mayo and crab there and saved the kbbq for later. The tuna mayo was alright, it was pretty plain, but I did like the seasonings in the rice. The kbbq was ok, the meat was on the dry side. The crab was my favorite, super creamy and delicious. My friends enjoyed their rice balls. I did like that this place was open late, but we did have to wait a while for our food as there was only one guy in the kitchen. I feel like as far as onigiri goes, there are better places to get some in the area, but we mostly just came here for convenience and I wanted to try it out.

Good spot if you are looking for a quick snack! The worker was super friendly and had recommendations if you wanted to make it spicy. I got the Kbbq with chili sauce, and loved it! It was a little hard to eat because it was falling apart, but the rice quality was good!

The worker was very nice and helpful, however I was a little let down with the presentation and price. It was about $5 for one onigiri, which is a little pricier than other places I've been. The presentation was also not the best as it was falling apart before I even touched it and then completely fell apart once I tried to pick it up. The flavor was okay, not the best but also not horrible. Was expecting a little more but maybe I shouldn't when it's part of a food hub/court

Food was really good! Just pricey (as everything is). Service was amazing. The location is tucked in a corner of an indoor food court. Good place for lunch

After enjoying happy hour at Center Hub inside of Trade Food Hall, I got the munchies and was looking for a dinner option. I decided to give Ricebunn a try since I'm a carb lover. I had a few questions about the menu, but it was disappointing that they didn't have anybody working the front to ask. Customers are expected to order and pay at the kiosk and wait until their name is called. I ordered the Onigiri Trio because why not take the opportunity to try more flavors? I selected the Salmon, Tuna Mayo and KBBQ Beef and opted for the Spicy option for all three. They were good, but I felt the ratio of rice to ingredients unevenly and heavily favored the rice. Of the three, the KBBQ was my favorite. I'm not sure I'll visit again but if I do, I'd be down to try something different like their Onigiri on Plate options.

I recently visited Ricebunn, and it's a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal! The onigiri here is reasonably priced, and they don't skimp on the filling, which is a huge plus. The flavors are good, my favorite are the salmon or beef. The rice is always nice and warm, making each bite comforting and delicious.Service was speedy, so it's perfect if you're in a rush. However, the to-go packaging could use some improvement--it's not the best for keeping everything intact on the go. One downside was the lemonade, which tasted a bit medicinal. I'd probably skip that next time. Also, if you're a crab lover, be aware that they use imitation crab instead of the real thing, so you might want to pass on that one. There is usually plenty of open outdoor seating but this food hall can get busy during lunch time on the weekdays since there are a lot of offices aroundOverall, great spot for a quick, tasty meal. Just stick with the onigiris and you'll be happy!

Came here on a Wednesday evening for dinner for the first time. It's located in a cute little food hall in a busy plaza with other restaurants, cafe, and dessert spots. It was busy in the food hall and there was plenty of outside seating. We decided to go with Onigiri... salmon, spicy salmon, crab and beef, with a side of edamame, and pickled cucumbers. I gotta say... I was pretty disappointed. Pickled cucumbers and edamame were fine but the Onigiri was not so good.... Food came out slow and for some reason my sparkling water was flat. Sorry, but I won't be coming back.
