Rendez Vous French Bakery and Cafe

We've come here three mornings straight in our vacation and lemme say,their pastries are delicious,coffee is wonderful and ambiance pleasant. But the best thing is their service!Kind,friendly and clean!

Rendez Vous is located on one of the main streets in Corona del Mar. We came during the week and so parking wasn't an issue but I can see it as a challenge during a busy weekend or prime time hours. Walking in, I immediately got the French vibes - pastries in cases, cafe menu, indoor and outdoor seating. I want to say taking in the ambiance was my favorite part of my experience here. We ordered a few coffees and pastries and got situated in a corner table. I only wish their customer service, their coffee and their pastries were in sync with their aesthetics. We didn't get the cheery, merry mood that most people are in during this time of the year; she wasn't welcoming or warm or approachable. Their coffee and pastries were fair which was also disappointing.

Rendez Vous offers a quaint dining experience, with a simple patio overlooking Pacific Coast Highway in Corona Del Mar. After ordering at the counter, a number is provided, seating is open, and there are several indoor and outdoor options. A wall coated in flowers and neon lights grazes the entryway, and I selected to sit outside to soak up the sun and get some fresh air. The service was timely, the dish was prepared well, and for a traditional French meal, it tasted fine. This place has a very social atmosphere, and is great to enjoy brunch with friends, or a rendez-vous.

Half a mile from the beach, is this cute and charming little French cafe. Service was very friendly and helpful from staff. Really enjoyed the coffee and dessert. Ordered: biscoff latte, dulce de leche latte, hot chocolate, fruit tart, raspberry dome, & cheddar jalapeño crossiant. Paid about $42 for everything.Great selection of sweet and savory. Limited parking spots, there were a handful of spots on the street for free.

In town for a wedding and decided to check out this place, so glad we did. On the PCH, it's conveniently located close to the beach and around shops. When we walked in, it was extremely busy, which is always a great sign. We got a seat outside, which outside of the street noise that they can't control, it was a quaint setting. It gave off a sitting on a busy street in Paris vibe. Let's start with the crookie. Oh. My. Gosh. One word.....heavenly. They heated it to the perfect temperature. It had the 2 cookies on top but inside is where the real magic is. It had a cookie heated to the perfect temperature that when you bite in, it oozed out the most amazing goodness. Next we had the La Payasanne, which was delicious. The chicken was so tender, when you bit into it, it just melted in your mouth. The combination of the cheese, mushrooms and sauce just made this dish 2 thumbs up. The other item was the Croque Madame. The ham, cheese, and sauce was nestled between 2 thick slices of toast. It could have used a little more sauce for my taste but the flavor was still amazing. I would definitely eat it again. This is somewhere that I would recommend to all my friends that are in this area or coming by.

Such a cute coffee shop offering fresh crepes, omelettes, and pastries at reasonable prices with the best service. Pastries are very fresh. Pistachio cherry tart was rich had a beautiful pistachio flavor that came through, perfectly sweet.

The financier was really good!! Will definitely come back to try other pastries! Really nice ambience and great service too!

My friend really really likes the almond croissant here. She been wanting to take me here to try it. I didn't have plans today, so I decided to go with her. Right when we walked in, I was happy to see all the pastries. The setup, like the seating and the decor, made the bakery look very cute.We got an almond croissant, butternut squash soup, and egg Benedict (smoked salmon).I didn't think any of the items we got really stand out. My fav was probably the butternut squash soup. I didn't feel the salmon was that fresh. Overall, the benedict it was ok.The almond croissant was good, but it can't compare to places I have been to. It was fresh, for sure. It had enough filling but lacked the almond flavor. It was served warm, so kudos for that.I wanted to try their drinks, but my friend didn't let me order it even though I was the one paying. Lol she kept insisting the coffee ain't good. Overall, the place was decent. Will I drive here myself? Prob not...

Cutest French bakery with a huge selection of pastries and other French delicacies. The warm ham and cheese crepe and almond croissant were so delicious!
