Quan Ca Can - Banh Bao & Hu Tieu My Tho

They have the most authentic tasting hu tiêu. Loved it!! Ít reminds me of when I lived in Ho Chi Minh City for 4 years.

Parking is easy as we came relatively late for a cold winter's night! The interior is bright, clean and cheerful while the service is prompt!The hú tieu's broth is good and the proportion is reasonable. Vegetables are adequately supplied.Will be back for more but only for the standard hu tieu, not the "special" version that you pay about 3 bucks difference just for a piece of backbone!

We came this time to try the noodle soup. I like that they have the option for a small bowl due to sometimes I can't finish a large bowl. I am not a fan of their sauce for the dry version however the broth is good so I may come back to try that next time. Beside the noodle soups and the baos, they also add a few dim sum options for takeout. 5 pieces for $8. The dim sum is a little bigger than the normal size, so it is not bad to pick up for a light lunch or snack. One big plus is they open early for good to stop by on the way to work.

Cả Cần Restaurant is a fantastic destination for those who love dry noodle soup and steamed buns. The dry noodle dish here is delicious with a special sauce that creates a unique flavor. The steamed buns are also an excellent choice.Their pork bun is $3 or $3.5 per bun. The place has plenty of parking, but pretty small during rush hour. The price is reasonable (cash only or zelle).Although the space here is somewhat small, the service is quite fast, which means you won't have to wait long after getting inside.

Noodle soup is ok, nothing special, meat & quail egg steam bun or vegetables bun are not bad. Cash only.

Solid hủ tiếuThe broth was flavorful. Could be better with less MSG. Their hoành thánh was nothing special Their bánh bao was pretty decent, too. I don't recommend getting the meat ball hủ tiếu unless you are a fan of meat ball. I ordered it and it was a bunch of meat balls and a bit of ground pork so I got sick of the meat balls and didn't finish like 50% of it. It would have been better if they do half meat ball and half xa xiu. Will be back often as this is now my favorite Hủ Tiếu shop in town.

When I see this place open in Westminster, I have to try it when I had a chance. Inside is small and cozy. It's very clean and great customer services. We order hu tiếu đặc biệt khô and hu tiếu khô. The only different is they have a big piece of bone and meat in the special one. Taste is good, not the same as the one in Vietnam though. I love the noodle. It's good portion. I like mine with a lot of sauce so I asked for an extra sauce on the side. Peach tea is great. Bánh bao is great. Same as noddle, but taste the same like Vietnamese but it's good. We wanted to order some sweet steam buns but all of they either sold out or they don't have it. I would still come back here in the future.

I feel like hu tieu is one of those Viet dishes that never gets as much love as pho or banh mi, but as a hu tieu appreciator myself, I was excited to try this place which is getting some hype since they're the same as Quan Ca Can in Saigon!PARKING:Not a huge lot, but I've never seen the plaza busy to the point where we couldn't find parking.WHAT WE ORDERED:* Hu tieu My Tho dac biet, dry ($14)* Hu tieu My Tho to nho, dry ($10)* Banh bao dac biet cut muoi ($5)* Banh bao ca de ngot ($2)FOOD:First thing to note: the difference between the hu tieu My Tho dac biet and the hu tieu My Tho to nho isn't just the size. Only the dac biet has pork spare ribs! The two tasted pretty much the same, just the ribs were the difference. I was pleasantly surprised at how sweet and flavorful the sauce on the noodles was - even that with noodles alone would have been delicious. Noodles weren't overcooked, and neither was the shrimp. The dry noodles also come with broth on the side, perfect for washing down the noodles!The banh baos are to die for. I'm telling you, get the one with both the quail and the salted egg - you won't regret it. I think the banh bao ca de was pretty good, but try to eat it as quick as possible after you buy it, since they tend to harden up if you leave it out.SERVICE:No frills, but attentive and friendly. If you need something (e.g., your condiments run out), let them know and they'll fix it right away. Also note that they are cash only, but also accept Zelle - AMAZING!VIBES:Typical mom-and-pop shop vibes. Cozy and family friendly.BOTTOM LINE:I was impressed! Might be my new go-to for My Tho style hu tieu. I'll have to try the original Quan Ca Can to see if it lives up ;)

I was in OC early morning and was craving Hu Tieu. Not many spots were open but this one happened to be open at 6am so I decided to give it a try. It's a cute little hole in the wall. Not bad for what you can find this early. I got their Hu Tieu Mi, Banh Bao, and corn milk. The bao itself wasn't too dense. It was soft and slightly sweet. The filling wasn't too heavy or salty. The hu Tieu was good. They give you a lot of veggies (daisy crowns). The broth could have been hotter, it was a bit warm but other than that the flavor is there. It was a nice wholesome breakfast to start the day.
