Promenade Cafe and Market

I like it! Starbucks coffee available at a little coffee bar in the center.This place is conveniently located right next to the pool. They have lots of grab and go foods and beverages to go. Lovely selection.Service was okay but far from marvelous. The gal could have smiled and been more friendly. Apart from that, this was a positive experience. There was plenty of seating.

This place has potential and is convenient but with your unfriendly, stickler staff and rude security, kicking patrons out, literally like sheep in a herd, it is incredibly disrespectful. A polite 5 minute warning by staff would be more appreciated rather than pushing us out at 9pm using security to invoke fear. It's pathetic. We are all there to enjoy a night out and spend money at your bar. I know it's typical Irvine where things close by 9pm but we are guests, treat us as such or we won't be back. What's sad, this is what I would expect from Irvine Company. Zero customer service because they don't care.

I have always bought breakfast at this place, their breakfast burritos were amazing. Today I was excited to get my breakfast burrito and it was terrible . Not sure what happened here, the contents were not prepared the same way, the tortilla was dried as if the burrito was pulled from the freezer and just tossed in the microwave. I heard the cafe is under new management and clearly the kitchen under a new cook. Very dissatisfied, I hope this is a one off and the quality comes back otherwise I will not be returning to this place.

Service and ambiance are amazing!! Great selection of beers, snacks and lunch specials.

Last week I visited the Promenade Café and MarkeI ordered a grilled hamburger and got very sick.The next time I returned the air in the café smelled and started coughing. I asked the manager, who' name is Lisbia Montes, if she could air the place out. She seemed annoyed and rudely told me "If you don't like it you can leave."I later found out this place does not have a ventilation system, and is not licensed to serve hot food. There's no grill on the premises so who knows where my grilled hamburger came from.I contacted the health department, and they told me they had already conducted an inspection and informed me of their public report.The report noted a lack of proper sanitation, lack of proper food handling and storage, and inadequate protection from vermin!This place is not safe, so please protect your health, and stay far, far away from Lisbia and the Promenade Café and Market.

What is going on with this place! At 11am, the don't serve breakfast and the don't serve lunch. They have nothing but chips, junk food and whatever is in the premade section against the walls, although, the fridge isn't working so take a chance on the premade food. Huge place, nice location but horrible service. I bought a drink cuz there was nothing else. Reminds me of a 711 mini mart.

Been living at Promenade for 2 years now. I've only been here 8 times and for a good reason. Every time I come here the service is horrible and the people have no clue what they are doing. I can only speak for the morning time because that is really the only time I've gone. There have been multiple times where I've had to wait 15-20 minutes to even be acknowledged and helped. And then the people have NO CLUE how to ring something up or make a basic latte. I do see it pretty crowded during Happy Hour and at night so I know they offer good deals and probably better service than the morning.

FILTHY. Chips were stale, fruit was moldy. & the service was absolutely awful. This is to be expected of Irvine Company though... coming from a tenant of 6 years.

Yesterday afternoon, I bought a box of fruit in the store, opened and ate half of it, and suddenly found that some fruits have been seriously moldy and stale, which is harmful to the human body. When I checked the production date was five days ago. I contacted the person in charge of the restaurant that afternoon, and he said that he was very sorry but he was off work and needed to contact me tomorrow. In the afternoon I went to the urgent care and saw a doctor. Now the danger is over. Today even now he has not contacted me. I will never eat any food from this store again. The quality of their food is worrying and can make people sick. Their management has also been extremely disappointing. Bad review.

On a Friday night you might want to pop in and say hi to two individuals, Rudy and Ayesha, that are working hard to give the cafe experience. Both are tending to customers making sure that the residents are comfortable and feeling good. I was though dishearten due to the kitchen closing at 6:30pm. I was really looking forward to the special or even a hot dog. But I had to settle for a pizza. The pizza was a Hawaiian and it was better than usual. Thanks to Rudy. This evening was music night with a singer. He was good. All in all, I appreciate Ayesha don Rudy giving a better experience on a Friday night.
