Poke Me

I ordered my bowls online and as a poke addict, I thought that this place had some pretty good/slightly better than average poke. There wasn't anything distinctly amazing about the food but my bowl was still pretty enjoyable. I thought that the presentation of the bowl however was quite attractive and aesthetic! I don't really have a say in the service because I ordered the food through doordash, but the bowls were packed rather full (which I liked) and it was neat with no spillage. Overall, this poke place is a little bit on the pricier side since it's in Irvine, but I guess it's still worth.

This is purely a review on the service. Please see my earlier reviews on smaller portion sizes since earlier visits.This 3/5 is based on management, not the efforts of the single hard working employee there tonight during the dinner rush. He was trying to balance many call in orders, the customer before me ordering 3 bowls, and more. It took about 20 minutes for me to be helped, and i don't blame him one bit. How do you schedule only one employee for a labor intensive shift during dinner rush?

Have a fin-tastic day!Got a small poke bowl for $16 today. You get two scoops of protein (they weigh it too). You only get to pick two in Step 2, everything else is unlimited I believe. Server was very nice. Limited amount of tables inside, but plenty outside to enjoy some sun!

The food is good. Price is good. Their new sushi rolls are confusing because what is pictured on the menu is NOT what you get. Salmon roll looked like it was JUST salmon. My small kiddo was pissed there was cucumbers in it. Also...Poke is a Hawaiian dish, but the restaurant was playing all Korean music. No hate...I love Korean music. But come on. Pay homage to the origins; don't just appropriate.

I've been coming to poke me regularly since my last raving review, but I realized I should scale back a star given some of the more recent experience... Once I had the half brown rice half white rice bowl. The brown rice were hard like hardened leftover rice. And the sauce made it overly watery even though I only had a couple, and it was hard to taste my beloved truffle sauce then.The fish still tasted fresh and spicy (the way I liked it), but it wasn't worth 5 stars. It wouldn't stop me from coming back to visit when it suits me, but I might not go out of my way for its poke bowl anymore...

Will not be back- would not recommend. I very much do not like to provide a poor review but I do appreciate an honest review prior to visiting when you are not familiar with the location. We had 3 small poki bowls and 1 large. It was $70 which would be fine if it was good. Unfortunately, the fish does not seem as fresh as should be for poki. There is a very strong fish odor when you enter. Very high priced for what you receive- portions are small and a lot of rice. Not a lot of toppings for options. Avocado is extra which is normal when it is a topping but here the avocado is served as one of your first protein options and it is still extra. They also limit the number of toppings you can get which is a different experience for a poki bowl. There are other options in the same center: I would recommend checking those out.

Not enough fish for 15 dollars in the small bowl. Customer service is excellent but serving size too small. I can get a good size wrap for 15 dollars just a short walk down. The fish also actually smelled fishy...

The food was served with an extra helping of hair in it. The fish and avocado are not fresh. They put the sauce on the rice alone leaving the rest of the food bland and recognizably unfresh. They did apologize and offer to refund me for the food. I appreciated the apology but I would definitely not recommend eating there.

Fresh fish, delicious toppings, I always get a small bowl double tuna, white rice, avocado. Right now they have free miso soup with dine in. Friendly staff and clean restaurant

Food is great and decently priced, plus they give a side of miso soup with your order. Fish is fresh and wide variety of toppings to choose from.
