Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded at all. I ordered their shakerato and a vanilla latte! I have ordered the shakerato drink elsewhere, and when I saw my drink, I was actually scared to drink it because it was all black. But as I tried it, the taste was delicious!Rate: 8/10Vanilla Latte: 7/10For sure, I see myself coming back!

If you want a matcha- do not go here. I recommend going to MADE coffee across the street. The matcha here is overpriced and extremely bland and over diluted with milk. Although, the hot volcano latte is definitely my go to drink if I'm in the area. Service is good, but they can take a little long. The cafe feels like a modern LA coffee shop.

I had high hopes for PLAY Coffee after reading so many great reviews, but my visit left me a bit underwhelmed. The vibe felt like an overpriced LA coffee shop, which didn't quite align with the overall experience. The menu included minimal information--just drink and pastry names without any descriptions--and when I asked for clarification, the staff seemed annoyed. Not exactly the welcoming experience I was expecting.I ended up ordering the Shaken Maple, essentially a latte shaken in a cocktail shaker. It was good! The caramelized butter croissant was similarly just okay--nice, but not memorable. Honestly the lack of information on the menu was just very off putting and not welcoming.

This fun coffee shop has a glass-encased space for ordering, with several patio areas surrounding it, and a separate room with indoor seating. They are known for their Volcano Latte so that's what I ordered (hot rather than iced) along with a chocolate chip cookie. It was a mild evening so I sat outside at one of the patio tables. The latte had an interesting sweet & salty taste; actually the flavor wasn't too salty but I could taste the saltiness on my lips after sipping. The coffee flavor was smooth and vivid. It paired perfectly with the chocolate chip cookie which also had some salt on it to give it that sweet & salty combination. The duo working here were friendly and quick. It's located in downtown Fullerton so there are a couple of nearby lots but, being a weekday, I easily found street parking a block away.

I ordered a vanilla oat milk latte and found it overall satisfying. The espresso was smooth, although the drink was a bit too sweet. Next time I would ask for less vanilla syrup. This is a very cute study spot during the daytime and when it's not too cold. They have limited interior seating and some more outdoor seating. I had no trouble finding parking in the parking lot adjacent to the café. The service here was phenomenal, I did not catch the person who helped us out, but she was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would go back again.

The coffee at this shop was great, exactly what you'd want from a good cup. However, the service was less welcoming. The staff came off as a bit snobby, and I was especially put off by one female barista who laughed at a group of ladies as they left because they didn't know what an espresso tonic was. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

If Legoland and Burning Man had a baby, PLAY Coffee would be their grandchild. This is, hands down, one of the coolest and most innovative coffee spaces I've visited in ages. They've even repurposed a shipping container as a seating area--how cool is that? With no shortage of seating options--from the open front patio to the container room and a rear patio--there's a spot for everyone. The free Wi-Fi makes it a solid choice for getting work done, though power outlets are scarce (I found just one in the container room). The service was super friendly, almost like visiting a playground where the neighborhood kids welcome you with a, "Come, enjoy our space!" It adds to the relaxed, fun atmosphere. When I asked for their signature caffeinated drink, they handed me an iced Volcano Latte. Sweetened with Demerara brown sugar and topped with wood-fired sea salt, it was deliciously unique! Not sure about the sugar's significance, but they made sure I knew about it.If you're in the area, definitely stop by this place! It's a refreshing, creative space that's worth the visit.

Great service and cute aesthetic! I got an iced coffee with honey, and the espresso was smooth! They have outdoor and indoor seating. Not sure if I'd study here since there's limited seating and tables indoors, but I'd get a coffee to-go again :)

I wanted a good study spot with sturdy wifi, good atmosphere, and good coffee. The coffee is on the pricier side for $8 for a cup of coffee. I do like how you can switch out the milk for free though. I ordered the vanilla latte and it was good but it wasn't amazing. The study section was a lot smaller than I thought. It was seperate from the ordering stand and the lights were flickering. The tables are on the smaller side with me and my boyfriend barely able to fit our laptops. I do appreciate how there are plugs for every table though. The restrooms were also very clean. Overall, the ambiance was alright, it was kind of empty with only 2 other people studying next to us.

Took my brother in law on an LA coffee tour yesterday. He's a coffee snob, so we had to try the best. Went to Maru, Camel, Kumquat... got some different pour overs. He liked them. Maru was serving a competition level roast. High quality coffee. Then this morning, we went to Play, and got a Play Exclusive pour over. Tasted like strawberries, it was so good. He said it was the best compared to what we had in LA. High praise vs some high competition!
